Loved this accomodation apart from the distance from the main park. This might suit other holiday makers very well.

Honestly, we werent wowed by this place. The kitchen and living area were tidy but pretty basic, nothing special. The main bedroom was tiny, way smaller than other caravans weve been in - barely enough space to walk around the bed or open the wardrobe. The shower was a letdown too; it couldnt run on full power because the tray filled up quickly. Not what we expected!

The chalet was really cosy and had everything we needed for a self-catering break. The beds were super comfy and the pillows made a big difference. Heating kept it warm during January, which was a lifesaver. The walk-in shower was great and the WiFi was quick. Loved the little patio with the table and chairs!

We arrived on a chilly January evening and found the place to be really cosy and warm, which was lovely! The space was quite comfortable, even if a bit tight for five adults. We did have a couple of minor hiccups like the outside light bulb and a faulty cooker knob, but they were sorted out quickly. The only strange thing was the bathroom sink not having a plug - pretty inconvenient really. Overall, a very pleasant stay!

Date of stay: 28th November 2023
We booked a quick 3-night trip from the 20th to the 23rd of November, mainly because the place had a hot tub and looked like itd be a fun little getaway. Honestly, we were pretty excited to celebrate some good news and had high hopes. One of the main reasons we chose Rockstar was the promise of a welcome pack, which was supposed to include a bottle of wine, tea, coffee, biscuits and chocolates. Sadly, upon arrival, there was no welcome pack at all. We also expected some luxurious toiletries, but those werent there either. When we checked with Guest Services, we were told they no longer provide them - which was a bit disappointing, especially since it was advertised. We get that in November some facilities like the pool, eateries and entertainment might not be available, as they need enough guests to keep things running. But to advertise a welcome pack and then just not include it feels a bit like false advertising. Luckily, after raising this with Guest Services, they did manage to find some tiny, cheap toiletries, along with tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits. Still, no bubbly- which was a shame! So, thumbs down on that part, but credit where its due for the effort to help out. While exploring the site, we found the signage could definitely be better. Trying to navigate was a tad frustrating - everything looks pretty similar and at night, its even harder to find your way around. More visible signs and clearer maps would really help. The maps provided are pretty rubbish, honestly. A minor but important point: since the lodges are pet friendly, it would be wise to use different bedding - white bedding isnt ideal if your dog tends to leave muddy paw prints after a walk in the mud. That said, it wasnt all bad. We genuinely enjoyed our stay. The hot tub was perfect - beautifully hot and well maintained, thanks to regular visits from the pool guy. The accommodation was quite different but generally well equipped. The sofa wasnt the most comfy, but maybe were just spoiled at home! Plenty of hot water, a good shower and even in November, the whole place was warm and cosy. If theyd be upfront about whats available or not before booking, wed happily come back again - despite the hiccups, we had a nice time.

Great service overall, just a tiny bit of dust left behind.

We arrived to find ourselves in Chalet 9 instead of the one we booked, which was a bit of a surprise. Since we only stayed four days, we didnt really get a chance to try the cafe or explore the shops, so cant comment on those. Overall, it was a decent stay, but the switch was a bit inconvenient.

We really enjoyed our stay! The chalet was great value for money, even if it was a bit dated. There were a few minor issues, like the rusted chain on the bath plug and some wallpaper peeling in the corner, but overall, it had everything we needed and wed definitely return again!

We had a great stay! The place was quirky and fun, with everything we needed. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. Sure, some bits like the kitchen kickboards and cushions could do with a bit of TLC, but overall, we really enjoyed our time here!

We brought our two dogs along, which bumped up the price quite a bit. The caravan was nice, but it wouldve been helpful to have some basic info like checkout instructions, shop opening hours and bus routes. Still, we enjoyed it overall!

Date of stay: 30th August 2019
The park itself is pretty nice, especially if you're after a relaxing spot. The outdoor pool gets quite crowded, though, which is a bit of a pain. And honestly, doubling the caravans without upgrading amenities? Not really fair on everyone already there. Still, we enjoyed our stay overall!
