Date of stay: 18th March 2016
Country home was very comfortable. The only criticism would be the lodge slept 6 people but there was only a two seater sofa and two armchairs. Fortunately as there was only two of us it didn't matter but if we came with the family next time it might be an issue! Apart from that the accommodation was excellent and we wished we were staying longer.
Date of stay: 29th February 2016
Good location and comfortable, well-equipped accommodation. Only criticism is the publicity of on-site facilities during off peak season - booked expecting restaurant to be available all the time but this was not the case and would have appreciated knowing this before booking. Good value for money.
Jonny, Norfolk
Date of stay: 11th January 2016
Excellent but no towels provided

Date of stay: 28th December 2015
The Lodge was very comfortable. The only couple of things that could have improved the vacation to perfect were that it would have been nice to have a washing machine in the Lodge and also for towels to be provided.

Loved this lodge, loved the views and it was very clean and homely - it was great to stay in such a beautiful lodge with dogs, normally you get the rubbish ones!

Date of stay: 27th October 2014
Very impressed with the standard of the lodge, lovely views over the golf course. Very clean but there was an unpleasant sewerage smell in the main bathroom which seemed to come from the base of the toilet which wasn't sealed to the floor as in the en suite. Wasn't a big problem as we just kept the door shut. We did report it to reception who were apologetic & promised to get it looked at but nothing was done during our stay.
Caroline, Kent
Date of stay: 24th October 2014
An enjoyable stay in a newly fitted lodge with superb views across the golf course. A few little things that would make a difference in the lodge are:- shelf in shower room & hook to hang clothes up. Side table for other sofa. TV on wall couldn't be viewed if sitting on side sofa due to reflection until late afternoon unless curtain closed. Duvet too warm (personal choice ) no where to hang coats up . And unfortunately an unpleasant smell from the shower room toilet. All easily remedied things that would make this a perfect holiday retreat.
Christine, Sheffield

Lovely accomodation
Susan, Parbold
Date of stay: 9th August 2014
Indoor living area and outdoor decking area are very spacious. However the 2nd double bedroom & the twin bedroom were on the small side. The twin bedroom was lacking any bedside cabinets and bedside lights and only two small wardrobes with a few drawers were available. Also there was not enough cutlery & crockery. Had to put the dishwasher on each time we ate as there were not any spare for a second sitting. Cooking utensils were also very sparse and would have expected the lodge to be more well equipped for 6 people. Overall the lodge was satisfactory.

Very pleasant accommodation. Some of the blinds needed slight repair but this did not make a difference to the stay. Would have liked more pillows (1 per person was not quite enough) and the staff managed to get just 1 more pillow because it was privately owned.

The best pet friendly lodge we have stayed in,very clean and spacious with quality fixtures and fittings in a superb location on the lake.
Caroline, Crewe
Date of stay: 18th April 2014
Large well equiped lodge, clean and well positioned over looking the golf course. Golfers walked past but we still felt in a tranquil place, plenty of bird song and lovely trees giving shade.

The lodge itself was very modern and comfortable and nicely furnished however the cooker could have done with a good clean before we took it over. We would still reccomend this lodge.

Date of stay: 27th December 2013
Had a wonderful Christmas. The lodge had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. We would definitely come here again.
The lodge was lovely, very spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed our time using the pool, the changing rooms were perhaps a little grubby. Weather was poor which meant golf couldn’t happen as much as my husband had hoped but when they did play they enjoyed it.
We stayed at Tydd St Giles Resort for business needs rather than pleasure so the location was fine however, there are no local amenities in the village so you are reliant on the resort facilities or travelling to nearby towns. The lodge we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. It was quiet whilst we were there but there is still a lot of work being done to add additional lodges so not sure what it will be like when fully completed. There are also people living on the site so there are quite a few dogs. Most are well behaved but we did notice some of the residents dogs where noisy during the day when left in the lodge. The Sunday carvery in the on-site restaurant was good value for money and enjoyed by all of us.
We have stayed here four times we can highly recommend it.
Brilliant break, could have been improved with [a] steam room working [b] easier access to microwave [c] more facilities for pensioners and children. ie a clockwork golf area would be lovely for young and old. Also a lovely wooden climbing frame area such as at Pensthorpe in Norfolk and French Bowls...just something extra for those not playing golf... Swimming pool lovely and warm although don't think surface tiles were non slip.
Excellent accommodation and very friendly staff in a lovely setting
Very peaceful and relaxing environment
Must be good, came back for a second time! Nice quiet place to stay.
Lovely lodge and lovely park. Our only grumble is that under 16's were unable to use the pool after 6pm and if we'd been out for the day, this left little time for our 14 year old to swim. The facilities were the deciding factor between this and another park but overall we still had a good break.
An excellent enjoyable holiday.

Fun Days Out near Tydd St Giles Resort

about 30 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.

if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.

We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.

This is a museum with a difference and a must see if you are into horse racing.  You can take guided tours around the museum or choose to wander round yourself admiring the exhibits.  New for 2010 is a Junior Fun Tour which is ideal for children.  Simply ask the gallery staff for a Fun Tour pack when you enter the museum and kids can answer questions and spot clues and tips on the way round.  One of the most popular recent exhibitions is the Thoroughbred: State of the Art exhibition in Gallery 5 on until 31st October.  Check out their websites for the latest exhibitions.
