Lovely lodge in tranquil setting. Well equipped. Could do with a small waste bin in the second bathroom, an outside sweeping brush to brush the leaves from the decking and an outdoor parasol. As a thought, we think the outside dining table and chairs would be better if placed on the patio area with views of the lake as opposed to its current location looking at the road and no privacy.

Very comfortable lodge, great size. Could do with a slightly bigger drive as with 4 bedrooms to fill we took two cars which only just fit but no biggy. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed from bottle openers to can openers. Plenty of plates and cutlery as well as and cups / glasses for the 7 of us staying.

Comfortable for the most part. The beds were amazing. Cleanliness needs adressing onto he parts that are missed like the extraction fan in the kitchen is full of dust and won't turn. The extraction in the shower room doesn't work. Busy and cobwebs on the blinds in the mean bedroom. Easy fixes. The utensils are cheap and it would be nice to have had the basics in the lodge. I.e salt, pepper and oil instead of the complimentary chocs and orange juice. Most places do this. The curtains need to be black out this time of year as the blinds aren't really up for the job neither are the curtains in the bedrooms but that's because I have a baby and she needs a pitch black room. DVD player wasn't in the lodge as described on the website. The shower and bath was clean and the shower head was very Powerful and the towels were a good size and nice and fluffy. Overall we enjoyed our stay and it was excellent value for money just a few easy fixes to make it better

I think there are 3 negative things about the lodge we stayed in, first it really needs to have a number visible on the outside of the lodge, and someone needs to address the amount of little flies that where around the gate and doorway they got in you car every time you went out , and most of all there were only 4 chairs around the dinning table , this was a 3 bedroom lodge and there were 6 of us 2 people couldn't sit at the table, but overall the lodge was clean and comfortable pity about the weather .

Overall, we had a lovely stay at the lodge and the whole experience was quite enjoyable. The lodge itself was great and we really appreciated the effort to make everything comfortable. The only hiccup was with the booking details-on the confirmation, it listed a different lodge on the lake, which got us pretty excited since it wouldve been a real treat, especially as we were celebrating my daughters GCSE results. Sadly, when we arrived, it wasnt that lodge but one at the back with a limited view. We were told the owners decided to stay there, which is fair enough, but perhaps itd be better to avoid putting the actual lodge name on the confirmation to prevent any disappointment. Also, it would help to mention what items arent provided, like tea towels and oven gloves, as it caught us off guard. We underst and due to Covid things have changed, but clearer info would be useful. Still, overall a lovely break and wed consider returning!

We had a really great stay at this place! Its super close to the bars, restaurants and all the leisure stuff, which was perfect for us. The lodge is tucked away behind a secure barrier, so you feel pretty safe. The place itself was spotless and very well looked after. The beds were incredibly comfy, making it easy to settle in after busy days. The space was just right for our group of 4 adults, a kid and our two dogs. The hot tubs in the balcony and shuts at 10am, which some might find a bit odd, especially since it faces out onto the site, but honestly, it didnt bother us at all - we just popped in and out! The little touches like prosecco, orange juice, chocolates and ice cubes upon arrival made it feel special. Wed definitely come back if we could!

This accommodation was a stones through away from bar, restaurant and leisure facilities which we loved! The accommodation was avrually behind a wfobbed barrier which was great! The lodge was immaculate! The beds were super comfortable and the space was a great space for 4 adults 2 dogs and a child. The hot tub turns off at 10am which might bothered some as the hot tub is in the balcony not everyone would like to sit in it during the day as it faces out onto the site but this didn't bother us at all. We were in and out! Really lovely touches when we arrives to prosecco, orange juice, chocolates and ice cubes. We would live here if we could. Looovely lovely lodge.

We had a great weekend at the lodge! The place was super cosy once the heating was on and the hot tub was definitely the highlight. The kitchen had everything we needed and towels were provided. If I had to suggest one thing, a few air fresheners around might make it even better when you walk in. Still, lovely stay!

Lodge was lovely, lots of kitchen equipment, towels provided, lovely and warm when heating on and the hot tub just adds to a perfect weekend stay.If there was only 1 comment to make it would be a little air freshener here and there would not go a miss to make it more pleasant when walking in

Space limited by poor layout. Water got scaldingly hot. Shower temperature affected by using other taps. Quiet location suited us.

Overall, we had a lovely stay, though the WiFi situation was a bit of a letdown. The lodge we stayed in didn't have WiFi, even though the website mentioned it was available at an extra cost, which we were happy to pay for. The staff did their best trying to help us connect in other ways, but unfortunately, nothing worked. It might be good if they clearly state whether a lodge has WiFi or add a request option when booking. Still, we enjoyed our time here!

Honestly, our stay was a bit of a letdown. When we arrived, the place wasnt as clean as wed hoped-there were nail clippings lying around and hair in the bathroom that looked like it was from a previous guest. We also had to wash most of the pots ourselves because the glasses still had dirty water in them. We were pretty disappointed, especially since we had to check in late and leave early due to COVID cleaning rules, but even the visible stuff was missed. It was also really dusty with loads of cobwebs everywhere. We get staffings been tricky lately, but we couldnt even book a meal, which was frustrating. The bars hours from noon till nine felt a bit odd, especially since the site's pretty remote and theres nowhere nearby to get food without a trek. All in all, not what we expected, but hey, thats travel sometimes!

Very quiet peaceful site, unfortunately the restaurant cannot run at capacity due to staffing shortages, so limited menu. Very relaxing and a good base for the lakes etc.

We were very impressed with the facilities at South Lake Land leisure Village and will be returning
Bethany
Nice lodges with ple ty of outdoor space, onsite restaurant was nice and reasonably priced, no onsite shop but 5min drive away from local centre with shops, pubs and restaurants, lovely pool although shallow.
Robert
Lovely setting on the edge of the Lake District and Yorkshire dales. From our lodge we did have a view of the lake and was in a quiet setting. On some parts of the site, there was traffic noise. Swimming pool, gym and restaurant onsite as well.
Claire
Visited here for years and keep returning. Love it and always return. Setting and facilities fantastic

We had a wonderful 3 nights in Gressingham 40. It was so quiet and clean. Park facilities were excellent. The lake is beautiful. Special thanks to Matt in the Fitness Centre for being brilliant. Made to feel like part of the family. We will be back.

Cabin was great, excellent location. Would definitely go back. Would of liked the bar and restaurant to be open longer as it closed at 8 or 9pm. I can’t rate the food on site, we didn’t eat there.
