The owners were genuinely lovely and went out of their way when the storm knocked out the power. The place was spotless and cosy, plus our dog loved the secure garden and the hot tub was a real treat!

We had such a lovely stay! The owners are genuinely warm and thoughtful, making everything feel so welcoming. The cottage itself is adorable, with that charming half-timbered look and the shower was surprisingly powerful-perfect after a long walk. Speaking of walks, the fields around are perfect for exploring and its a quick trip to Thaxted with its beautiful timbered houses and windmill. The parking right next to the cottage was a real bonus too. Spotlessly clean, well heated and super cosy overall.

Rob and Sharon really put a lot of effort into transforming this old building with care and theyre genuinely lovely hosts-plus Bonnies a sweetheart! The place has a cosy, welcoming vibe, perfect for relaxing. Its situated in a lovely bit of Essex, so wed definitely recommend exploring Thaxted and the nearby villages; theres so much history and charming architecture to enjoy. We felt right at home and will be coming back for sure!

We had such a lovely stay in this peaceful spot, tucked away in a really private bit of the countryside. The owners were super friendly and always ready to help if we needed anything, but they kept a respectful distance which we appreciated. The hot tub was a real treat after long cycling days! One thing to note, the cottage is just under Stansteds flight path, so there's quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but it might be a problem if you're sensitive to noise. All in all, a great place to relax!

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy cottage! It truly has everything you could possibly need, so no need to pack much at all. We were surprised at how well equipped it was - I ended up overloading the car! The welcome pack was really helpful, with all the info and menus we needed. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was just perfect after a long day. Sharon and Rob were so quick to reply if we had any questions. Thanks for a great break, well definitely be back!

We stayed in a really cosy house that was super well equipped, which made everything so easy. It was lovely and warm, perfect for a rainy December day. The bath was fantastic and the shower was nice and spacious. Being on a flight path didnt bother us at all-dont worry! Its great if youve got dogs that hate fireworks, as its tucked away in the middle of nowhere. Thanks so much!

We had such a lovely stay in this good place! The location is really peaceful and private, perfect for relaxing. The owners were super friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything, but it still felt tucked away from everything. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long cycle day! One thing to note, the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of noise from the planes. It didnt bother us too much after a while, but its worth mentioning if you're sensitive to sound. Overall, wed definitely come back!

The location was perfect for walks and we enjoyed exploring Thaxted and nearby villages - so charming! Honestly, we left feeling completely recharged and relaxed. Definitely a place we'd return to!

We recently spent a long weekend in a rustic VIP pod and honestly, it was quite a mixed bag. The pod itself had its charms - a cosy little kitchen, a cute bathroom and a comfy double bed that was perfect for a good sleep. The sofa bed, on the other hand, was pretty uncomfortable, so not great for anyone planning to lounge around much. The hot tub was a bit of a letdown; we knew it was log burning, but didnt realise how tricky itd be to get the temperature just right. It did reach 45 degrees, which was way too hot for my husband and daughter - I managed to sit in until it hit 38 degrees! A proper temperature control wouldve been a big help. The table and chairs inside felt unnecessary since theres a nice outdoor one on the decking, which could be brought in if needed. The staff were lovely, really friendly and helpful. The pool and arcade are small, but theres plenty to do nearby to keep you busy!

We truly enjoyed our stay here! The place was perfect for a relaxing weekend and were already planning to return. Our dogs had a blast, especially with the underfloor heating - they couldnt get enough! The garden was great for them to run around. Luna even came back with a strained tail from all the wagging, but it was worth it. Happy pups, happy us!

We had a lovely stay at this good place, tucked away in a peaceful spot. The owners were super friendly and always on hand if we needed anything, but they also made sure we felt private. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day cycling around the area! Only thing to note is that the cottage is quite close to Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us too much once we got used to it, but its worth mentioning if noise is a concern. Overall, a great getaway!
