Lovely lodge, just odd it had no shower door as the floor and walls got soaked. Felt bad every time we showered and we had to ring the bath mat out!

Date of stay: 2nd June 2017
The only down side we had this stay was that there was a lot of dog hair in the lodge especially on the cushions to the outside seats. We take our dog with us, however last year when we stayed this wasn't the case, our dog doesn't loose hair so it was quite noticeable
Kate And The Gang, Yorkshire
Date of stay: 24th April 2017
As above. Didn't really understand what was VIP about the lodge... but lovely nonetheless.
Gary, Upton, Poole
Date of stay: 21st April 2017
Had a great 4 nights away with my family here. We went in the hot tub first thing in the morning and evening, everyday of our stay. Setting was beautiful and peaceful, managed to see a lot of wildlife from the cabin. Loads to do near by. We went to Go Ape, Cresswell Crags and a day in the lovely city of Lincoln. Would definitely recommend.

This was such a great lodge. There were 5 of us and plenty of room and comfort. The hot tub was fab, even in the rain. The only thing that didn't work was the DVD in the TV, but that's what board games are for

A lovely quiet holiday the lodge was lovely, little things stopped me giving it a 10 like light bulbs not working and fancy plug holes broke. But these are easily corrected and would definitely stop again

Date of stay: 1st July 2016
Really lovely spot for our lodge, felt very private.
Only thing to note is that the fridge was very small which for a self catering lodge for at least 4 people is surprising and would be annoying.

Me and my boyfriend loved it we had everything we needed right in the lodge, the bottle of wine and handmade chocolates on arrival was nice and the dressing gown and slippers in the rooms. Lots to do around sherwood hideaways/ climber park. All in all perfect place to stay and a great value for money. We deffinatley didn't want to come home but we will be back again

Great lodge
Richard, Yorkshire
Date of stay: 19th February 2016
Locating the site was not initially obvious by post code on Sat Nav, maybe a GPS ref would help. Once on site reception staff helpful and booking in painless. The site was well prepared well maintained grass and roads/parking were excellent. Accommodation was clean tidy and with all necessary items in place. ( could do with a knife sharpener included - had to buy one as all knives were blunt - minor detail!) We enjoyed our stay and ideal for walks with the dog. would recommend to try it.
Graham
Date of stay: 19th February 2016
Really pleased with the accommodation - only moan is that the wifi we paid for was very poor - could not get a reception, if that is the case then don't offer it.

Dawn, Melton Mowbray
Date of stay: 23rd October 2015
Our stay was most enjoyable in the quiet surroundings beautiful views and places to visit nearby. We had difficulty with a mobile phone reception and you had to pay for wifi, but this added to the peace and quiet with no pinging phones. We took our 10month old puppy with us and a welcome pack for him was provided including a small bag of treats which was a very nice gesture.
Jessica, Gloucestershire
Date of stay: 16th October 2015
Absolutely Lovely. Staff were very welcoming and accommodation faultless. had a real touch of luxury. will definitely be back. the complimentary gifts and robes and slippers were a lovely gesture. Can't wait to return

Date of stay: 14th August 2015
Beautiful lodge, amazing views and would definitely ask for this lodge again if available. Maybe lounge and corridor area could do with a lick of paint? Plug in main bathroom also needs looking at. Just general wear and certainly didn't spoil our holiday!

The Lodge was well equipped, everything you could possibly need was there.
Annette, Otley
Date of stay: 4th May 2015
The only thing I thought could be improved was that the double bed seemed a bit small. Really comfortable and good quality bedding, towels and robes. Loved the Molton Brown shower supplies!

Andrea, Stoke On Trent
Date of stay: 10th October 2014
The lodge itself was lovely clean, tidy, and very comfortable, but found it quite expensive for the 4 nights.
Sarah, Brigg
Date of stay: 6th October 2014
6 girls stayed in our lodge, found the bath very small and would be better to have a shower over the bath as 1 proper shower between 6 was abit hectic! Also no door to the shower so found floor got very wet. Could do with more plugs in the bedrooms. Bed and linen sssoo comfy, slept very well.
Joanne, Mansfield, Notts
Date of stay: 6th October 2014
Excellent - the only extra that we would have liked would have been a TV in the bedroom, and perhaps more than one plate each would have been good, everything else was amazing
Claire, Cambridgeshire
Date of stay: 29th September 2014
The holiday site will be lovely when the tress have grown up around the lodges giving more privacy to the individual lodges.

The lodge was very comfortable and well set out. The shower plug needed unblocked and the deck was overlooked by others but a very nice place to stay

Date of stay: 11th August 2014
Decorated beautifully, think it is only value for money if you have a full hut and can stay for the full duration of time.
Julie, Norwich
Date of stay: 1st August 2014
Disappointed that lodge had not had a good clean when we arrived. The oven had food spills and the outside table had not been cleaned. The floor had not been cleaned. It only took us 30 minutes to do ourselves but it would have been nice to not have to do it. Saying that the staff at the park were great which made up for it :)
Nicola, Cromer
Date of stay: 18th July 2014
No complaints at all.
Clare
Date of stay: 30th June 2014
We did have to request our jacuzzi to be fixed as it wasn't working when we arrived
Danielle
Date of stay: 2nd June 2014
Expensive but worth the relaxion. Hot tub was wonderful. Very clean beds were comfy had everything you need in the kitchen. The only 1 thing was the dish washer was full of stale water but didn't realise until the later night because didn't use it or open the door. Other than that lovely place to relax.
Janet, Truro
Date of stay: 30th May 2014
Wall cupboards in kitchen are situated in wrong place - our husbands are 6ft tall and therefore had to duck when passing to avoid banging their heads, while the shorter ones of us had difficulty getting the heavy crockery down from the cupboards safely. We felt they would have been better situated over the worktops. Having said that we all agreed that the lodge was very comfortable and the upgrade to having a hot-tub proved very useful as the inclement weather meant we spent more time in the lodge than we had intended. Board games and jigsaws were very welcome and popular as well,
.
Benjamin, Derbyshire
Date of stay: 23rd May 2014
So quite & peaceful just what we needed, hot tub was amazing!
Yvonne, Nottingham
Date of stay: 9th May 2014
Little expensive for 'self catering' holiday, however nice clientele.
Angela, Baildon, West Yorkshire
Date of stay: 5th May 2014
I booked a hideaway lodge for a 40th b.day suprise and couldn't have booked a better place. On arrival there was a bottle of wine & choc's awaiting and we were also given a bottle of champagne to celebrate on my husbands 40th b.day. The location is very peaceful with surrounding woods & is ideal for cycling, walking & just relaxing. The lodge was spotless, very well decorated & well equipped & the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Perfect.
G, Norwich
Date of stay: 2nd May 2014
The accommodation was very clean and tidy, the downside was that there wasn't enough seats in the lounge, and wasn't much storage for food in the kitchen, but this wouldn't stop us for booking again.
Joanne
Date of stay: 28th April 2014
Accommodated 6 women on girlie weekend. Enough space for all

Date of stay: 28th February 2014
The larger sofa cushion was dirty/stained - not sure if the previous guest allowed their dog to sleep on the sofa?

Just used a throw we had with us - so not a realy issue - just spoilt the overall feel.....

Dogs should not be on the furniture.........
Paul, Northampton
Date of stay: 24th February 2014
Spacious, clean and well equipped. 6 adults in our party and plenty of room for us all. The hot tub on the decking was great fun and well used during our stay. lodge 8 backed onto open fields with woods beyond. Considering it was only a few hundred yards from the main road it was very quiet.
We loved the kitchen/diner/lounge area - very sociable and spacious. Nice kitchen, well equipped although the oven took some getting used to!
on the downside, we had requested the 3rd room be set up as a double, not twin but on arrival it was a twin. soon sorted though. Our en suite shower flooded the bathroom area and into the bedroom. Hopefully a simple fix for the site team.
The family bathroom has a bath with hair wash shower attachment. Would be better with a proper over the bath shower fitting and a shower curtain, especially considering 6 adults in this lodge.
Front door was difficult to close properly and patio door frame was loose - probably been caught by the wind a few too many times!
Other than small niggles mentioned above we loved the lodge and would ceratinly consider a similar holiday again.
Karen, Derbyshire
Date of stay: 17th February 2014
Beautiful lodges, great for a relaxing weekend break
Claire
Staff were so helpful and approachable. The private wood was perfect for our dog who doesn't really like to bump into other dogs very often. Lodge was beautiful. We were surprised at how realistic the electric fire was perfect for a cosy night in and as for the hot tub...
Donna
We had an up grade on arival and the lodge we where given was amazing and my first time experiencing a hot tub fantastic cant wait to return to Hideaway Sherwood
Sarah
This is our favourite getaway place, we’ve been back twice already and it definitely won’t be the last time. Perfect weekend break, with plenty to do nearby if you want to get out, but equally as relaxing if you don’t want to. Local takeaway companies even deliver to your lodge door! Excellent all round.
Hatem
Helpful staff. Clean and comfortable cottage.
Paul
super quiet location, no bar or restaurant suited us perfectly. friendly, helpful staff and super clean. the couple of minor issues with a smoke alarm and the tv were sorted almost instantly. we left relaxed and happy
Jayne
Really peaceful place nice walks, quality of furnishings excellent, bed linen, towels etc first class.
Emma
Lovely cabins perfect for a relaxing weekend away. There wasn’t a great deal to do on foot but plenty a short drive away. This didn’t bother us though as we went away to literally do nothing and just relax and sherwood hideaways are the perfect setting for Just that. The cabins were equipped with everything you need (minus a freezer which would have been handy) and the staff were super helpful whenever we needed them! Would definately visit again!
Louise
Lovely lodge, kept nice and clean. Hot tub was fantastic and the views were lovely especially with the snow. Would defiantly go back.
Charu
it was nice and inviting. Only complain there was no blind or curtain on front glass door, there was no security camera anywhere in the park or at main road entrance. Felt little bit insecure in the night time.
Sophie
Was a very nice relaxing getaway with very peaceful seroundings! Great value for money... The jacuzzi was to die for!

Fun Days Out near The Sherwood Hideaway Lodges

about 20 Miles
This is an all weather attraction located in Ilkeston Derbyshire.  With a large play frame as well as bikes and ride on toys this is a fun place for young children.  The toddler time sessions take place during term times on week days from 9.30am until 2.30pm and are very popular. The admission fee is excellent value for money and parents can sit down and enjoy a drink while the children play. A new baby changing facility has now been installed together with some new chairs making this a clean and welcoming attraction for families.  Look out for offers on their website such as a free hot drink on select days.

about 32 Miles
This unique farm makes a great day out for families with young children and also couples who enjoy getting out and exploring.  With an array of farm animals including goats, pigs and sheep this farm is a popular attraction in the Etwall area of Derbyshire.  Apart from the animals there are fun activities to take part in such as collecting and grading your own eggs and a hay play area for the little ones.
