Massive pile of old furniture has just been put in the bushes across field from lodges - its a bit of an eyesore - who decided to do that?No gates on veranda for dogs so had to put chairs across the 2 gaps There is a single recycling bin in the lodge which when you take to the bins has to be split across a number of bins. Despite brilliant tv for streaming wifi kept breaking so streamed off phone - 5G available

We had such a lovely stay! The cottage was spotless and well-equipped, making it feel really homely. Loads of great walks right outside, perfect for the dogs. The host was super friendly and quick to reply. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a real highlight. Definitely coming back - great value and highly recommend!

We had a lovely time at this cosy cottage tucked away on a working farm, yet it feels surprisingly private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely and very welcoming. The place itself is huge with well-equipped kitchens and bathrooms. The bed was super comfy and the gardens totally dog-proof and perfect for relaxing outside. There are plenty of nice walks nearby and Thaxteds restaurants, like The Star and The Maypole, are worth a visit. Wed definitely recommend it!

We had a lovely weekend at Redbrick lodges in the Moshannon lodge. The hot tub was really nice and we felt so relaxed while we was there. The parkManager always got back to me quickly if we had any queries. Was lovely and peaceful. Like that there weee plenty of dishwasher tablets, clothes and sponges to wash pots if needed. There wasnt any oven gloves but we improvised with a towel we brought. WiFi worked well to say there was 4 of us using it and there was Netflix on the tv. Lodge was also lovely and warm. Would definitely go back :)

We stayed at Moshannon lodge for a weekend and honestly, it was lovely. The hot tub was a real highlight, so relaxing after a long day. The park manager was always quick to respond to any questions we had, which was really reassuring. The place was peaceful and quiet, just what we needed. We appreciated the plenty of dishwasher tablets, sponges and even clothes for washing up - made things so much easier. Only thing missing was oven gloves, but we just used a towel instead. WiFi was solid, even with four of us streaming Netflix. The lodge was warm and cosy too. Wed definitely return!

We recently stayed at Goddard's Mead and were really impressed. Rob and Sharon have done a lovely job transforming this historic building with such care. They gave us a warm welcome and Bonnie was adorable too. The location is spot on - perfect for exploring Thaxted and the surrounding villages. We had an excellent stay m, the only down side is the balcony is mostly shaded, only between 5/7 pm dud the balcony get any sun, and this was at the very end of it, far away from the hot Tub which was entirely shaded.

Great location and peaceful on site. The site is well maintained and looked after. The only thing I could say to make it better is maybe update your sign on the road as it’s very easy to miss when driving on the main road.

Fantastic break in idyllic location. Staff on hand (if needed) but quietly go about their roles in a manner which does not disturb your own peace and quiet.

We loved our stay here and look forward to coming back, very clean facilities, loads to do in the area, very peaceful only downfall was the heating as it was always in full even if we changed it on the settings but didn’t spoil the stay!
