Lovely lodge, had everything we needed. Hot tub was not working properly which was rectified quickly by the maintenance team. Our particular lodge was right next to woodland so we had regular visits by fallow deer which was lovely.

Our 3 bed pet friendly lodge was spacious and modern. Big windows making it light and airy. Had a dishwasher as well as a washing machine. Milk, teabags and coffee and complimentary biscuits supplied (enough for your first day). Only one dishwasher tablet supplied but luckily I had brought some with me. The lodge was very hot with the heatwave we had for the first two days. Two fans were supplied which helped somewhat.Beds really comfortable. Extra thick soft towels. Hand and body wash in both the bathroom and ensuite. Hot tub had lots of different functions on it. Nice big parasol on the decking helped to shade when needed.

We recently stayed at Goddard's Mead and from the moment we arrived, Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel really welcome. The building itself is beautifully restored, keeping its historic charm, which we loved. Really charming little lodge, loved the cosy vibe. Just wish there was a full-length mirror and the smoke alarm was a bit less sensitive when cooking.

We had a really lovely stay at this cosy cottage tucked away on a working farm, yet it felt surprisingly private. The hosts, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely and welcoming. The place is spacious and well-equipped, especially the kitchen and bathroom - made cooking a breeze! The bed was super comfy and we loved the secluded garden with nice furniture, perfect for relaxing. Plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted has some cracking restaurants like The Star and The Maypole. Wed definitely recommend it!

We had a fantastic weekend here, everything we were hoping for! The place really hit the mark and were already planning to return. Our dogs couldnt get enough of the underfloor heating and the garden - Luna was wagging her tail so much, she strained it! Honestly, happy pups, happy humans. Definitely a place to revisit!
