Woodbridge Tide Mill is a rare tide mill that still grinds wholemeal flour, with a huge oak water wheel that you can often see turning. A mill has stood on this riverside site since medieval times, and the white-boarded building you visit today is Grade I listed. The mill itself is the exhibit, so you get a close look at the machinery as you go.
Tip: There's no parking at the mill itself, so use one of the pay and display car parks in Woodbridge, or walk from the station. Check the wheel turning times calendar before you go.

We had a lovely stay at this house. Its really well kitted out and kept us warm on a rainy December day - perfect! The bath was great and the shower was decent too. The locations a bit on the busy side with planes overhead, but honestly, it didnt bother us at all. Ideal if youve got a dog that hates fireworks because its so remote. Thanks a lot!

We had a fantastic weekend here! The place was just what we needed and were already planning to come back. Our dogs were so happy with the underfloor heating and they had a blast running around the garden. Luna even came home with a strained tail - apparently wagging it that much over the weekend! We stayed at this lovely place for a week in July with our two tiny dachshunds and they had a blast making new friends in the charming village of Thaxted. The cottage itself is really cosy and the hot tub was such a treat, especially during the scorching weather-cooler water made it super refreshing! The hosts were so friendly and welcoming, it was lovely to see them taking their dogs to the fields daily. Being on the flight path near Stansted was actually pretty interesting-watching planes come in was quite fun. Wed definitely come back!

The location is perfect for exploring Essex - we loved wandering around Thaxted and nearby villages, soaking up the history. Goddard's Mead really has everything you need for a cosy, relaxing break. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful getaway with a touch of character!

Loved the site, not far from the beach and town. Also had a very good shop for buying food. Loved the tv in the caravan as it had Netflix and Amazon prime, you just put in your password for them & have plenty to watch in the evening. There was also free wi-fi in the caravan too. Would definitely come back to this site again.
We have stayed at naze marine twice and rebooked for 2023 before we came home. What a lovely place!!! We brought our 8 month old puppy with us and stayed in the pets allowed beam accommodation, which was fantastic. All staff on site are wonderful, so helpful and friendly. We can not wait to go again. The accommodation was very clean, and has everything you need for your stay. The bed was extremely comfortable too. Very good value for money, in such a beautiful location, right by the sea. What more could you want??
