Millendreath Beach Resort is a hidden gem nestled in a tranquil valley offering the unique combination of beautiful woodland and its own south facing, sandy beach and boasting one of very few locations in the UK to support a species of native, British Seahorse.

These majestic creatures thrive in exceptionally clean waters where there is plenty of seagrass to eat, which speaks volumes of the water quality at this superb beach resort.

Millendreath is open all year and is a hub of excitement in the summer months.

With live music on the beach front and events all year round.

The Beach Bar sits right next to the sand, with stunning views of the whole bay which can be enjoyed on the large wraparound deck.

It serves local drinks in addition to handcrafted cocktails.

Millendreath Beach is one of the best south facing ’Dark Sky’ venues in the UK.

On a clear night the whole galaxy can be viewed rising through the dusk.

If you’re looking for your perfect holiday on the beach then look no further than Millendreath’s beautiful Hillside Apartments.

All situated just a moment from the beach with amazing views of either the sea or valley, these are perfect for families hoping to enjoy the outdoors.

Such a peaceful spot, we loved every moment!

We stayed at this lodge recently and honestly, it was quite lovely. The place was spotless and very comfy, with a modern white aesthetic that we really appreciated. The floor-to-ceiling windows made it feel bright and airy. Wi-Fi worked fine and the TV was decent enough. The only thing missing was a table and some comfy chairs on the decking - the wooden bench felt a bit out of place. Would definitely come back for the quiet location!

Overall, we enjoyed the stay - the location was great and the villa was spotless with everything we needed. Sadly, we left some stuff behind and couldn't get hold of anyone afterward. Tried calling before cleaning, but no luck. Still, a nice place!

We loved the location - just a quick two-minute stroll to the beach! Booking was easy and check-in instructions were clear. The apartment had so much potential, but it wasnt the cleanest - towels with odd brown stains, greasy plates and a bed that was falling apart. Still, considering the price, its not surprising. Wed stay again though!

We found this place to be a decent base for exploring some lovely spots nearby. The chalets were pretty clean and the beds comfy, which was great after long days out. The site itself does look a bit tired and could really do with some upgrades, especially since some of the fuses kept tripping and the WiFi was pretty much non-existent in most chalets. Its good value in the off season, but we wouldnt pay the inflated prices during peak times. Still, wed come back since its quiet and suits what we need.

The place was a bit tired, but still okay overall. The shower smell was a bit off, like previous guests mentioned. Guess its an ongoing thing.

We had a pleasant stay overall. The apartment was tidy and comfy, with some small maintenance bits that didnt really bother us. The towels and bedding were lovely and fluffy. The welcome pack was a nice touch, though adding salt and pepper could be an improvement. No major complaints!

We booked apartment 5 and honestly, being so close to the beach was a real plus. The place was nice, but a bit more upkeep and cleaning would definitely make it better. Overall, decent stay though!

We loved the quiet spot for our weekend getaway and its only a short drive or a lovely walk along the coast to Looe. Be prepared for quite a climb with about 60 steps up to the apartment - not ideal if youre struggling with stairs. The place is pretty peaceful, especially in winter when everything else is closed, making it super relaxing. We did spot a few maintenance issues, but the layout and decor are quite nice. The only real downside was the damp smell in the shower, which was pretty awful and should be sorted. Apart from that, its a decent spot with a well-stocked kitchen and even a toilet roll included, bonus!

We really enjoyed our stay here; the sound of waves was so relaxing. The deck was a bit messy and itd be great if some basic kitchen supplies like a sponge and dishcloth were provided. No nearby shops for quick essentials either, unfortunately.

We stayed here since it was self-catering. The place was spotless and the bed was comfy. However, the saucepans and frying pan really need replacing. Would stay again!
Oliver
We had a fantastic weekend here! The place really ticked all the boxes for us and were already planning our return trip. Our dogs had a brilliant time, especially with the underfloor heating and running around in the garden. Luna was wagging her tail non-stop, she was so happy! Great spot, highly recommend for a relaxing break with your furry friends.
Oliver
The place is lovely, really quiet and away from the busy streets, which we loved. The hot tub was a real treat. Owners were super helpful without being intrusive at all. Theyve got it just right!
Emma Carter
We had an amazing time at this cosy cottage! The location is brilliant, with loads of walks for the dogs right outside the door. The host was super friendly and kept good communication throughout. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a lovely touch. Its a perfect little escape and well definitely return. Great value!
James
We had a lovely stay at this cottage, set on a working farm but surprisingly private. Robert and Sharon were such friendly hosts, making us feel welcome from the start. The place itself is really spacious and well-equipped, especially the kitchen and bathroom, which made cooking and relaxing easy. The bed was super comfy too! The garden is perfect for dogs, totally secluded and furnished nicely. Theres plenty of walks nearby and we enjoyed trying out some local restaurants like The Star and The Maypole - definitely recommend it!
Emma
We had a really lovely time staying here! Sharon and Robert were fantastic hosts and made us feel so welcome from the start. The place was spotlessly clean, comfy and perfect for our dog Archie - he loved it! The location was just right, with loads of nice walks nearby and Thaxted and the surrounding villages are truly charming. We definitely left feeling refreshed and relaxed, it was just what we needed!
Emma
We spent a week here in July with our two little dachshunds and honestly, it was a lovely stay. The village of Thaxted is adorable and our dogs loved making new friends around town. The cottage itself is charming and the hot tub was such a nice touch-perfect for cooling off during the heatwave. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming, it was nice to see them taking their dogs out to the fields each day. Being near Stansted with the planes flying overhead added a bit of excitement, wed definitely recommend it!
Emma
The cottage was just stunning, nestled in such a peaceful spot-perfect for unwinding. The hot tub was a real treat after long walks nearby and the place was spotless with everything we needed. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back!
Emma
Had a brilliant weekend here, would definitely recommend it for a peaceful anniversary getaway. Loved it!
Emma
We had a lovely stay! The place was spotless, well-equipped and the hot tub was a real treat.
Martin
Really loved the place! The accommodation was top-notch and we enjoyed the nearby pubs and eateries just a short walk away. Plenty of fields and off-road walks for the dog, who refused to get in the car to leave. Brilliant trip!
Emma
This place is perfect if you're after some calm and relaxation. The hot tub was a real treat and the house had everything we needed. Lovely hosts too. Definitely a spot to return to. Highly recommend!
Emma
Very cosy place, felt like a home away from home.
Emily
We just got back from a week at Goddards Mead and honestly, it was lovely. The cottage had everything we needed and was super cosy. The hosts were so friendly and even though its on a farm, it felt peaceful and relaxing throughout our stay!
Oliver
Absolutely loved our stay at Goddards Mead! The cottage was perfect in every aspect. Well definitely return soon!
James
We loved this cosy little cottage! Its perfectly tucked away from the hustle, yet close enough to shops and stuff. The hot tub was a real treat and the underfloor heating kept everything nice and warm. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel right at home. Cant wait to return!
