Visitor Reviews of Leonards Cove

Mrs Hawker
Stayed in Bayview Bungalow 1. As my husband is a permanent wheelchair user it was not quite wheelchair friendly as his wheelchair was too wide to enter the wetroom and bedrooms. However, the gentleman at Reception acquired a smaller manual wheelchair for us by the next day and we were very grateful. The bungalow was very clean with lovely views of the bay. We found the bedrooms quite cold at night with no form of heating with only a convector heater in the lounge. The lounge seating was very soft and low and not suitable for someone with mobility problems. Overall we did enjoy our stay but I would say it was not quite disable friendly which we did point out to the booking clerk at Hoseasons.

We had such a lovely time at the cottage! The setting was perfect-really peaceful and surrounded by gorgeous farms. The horses were a nice touch and the owners couldnt have been friendlier, making sure we had everything we needed. Definitely a spot wed return to for a quiet getaway!

We had a fantastic weekend here! The place was just what we needed and we really enjoyed our stay. The garden was perfect for our dogs and they absolutely adored the underfloor heating - Luna was wagging her tail so much she strained it! Definitely planning to come back soon. Happy pups, happy us! Would recommend to anyone.

We stayed at this charming little cottage and honestly, it was lovely. The owners are super friendly and went out of their way to help us with everything. The place itself is cosy, warm and spotless - the shower is pretty powerful too! Parking right outside makes things so much easier. We enjoyed peaceful walks through the fields to Thaxted, which is full of those classic half-timbered houses and a windmill. Definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway!

We stayed at this lovely cottage recently and really appreciated the high-end finish throughout. The place was beautifully decorated and felt quite luxurious. However, it was a bit disappointing to find the shower riser and slider broken upon arrival. Someone had tried to fix it with gaffer tape, which actually made it harder to move the shower head. For a property at such a high price point, it seems a shame not to replace the parts properly - a small cost for a big difference in quality. Its a minor issue, but when paying top dollar, you do expect everything to be in perfect condition. Still, wed come back!

We stayed in a pretty comfy caravan overall, but the weather got quite chilly during our trip. The heating in the main lounge and main bedroom did the job fine, but the second bedroom heater was pretty useless. We ended up using it just for storage because it didnt warm up at all, which was a bit of a letdown. With kids, Id definitely worry about how cold it could get. Maybe it was just our unit, but its something to keep in mind if youre planning to bring little ones along.

Weve just come back from another lovely stay at Leonards Cove. Last October, we had a fantastic time with a big family gathering at the farmhouse, so we knew it was a place we loved. This trip was just me and my partner and we stayed in the Pound Cove Spa Loft. Its a perfect spot for two - loads of space and really comfy. Despite the cold weekend, the loft kept us warm with central heating and a log fire, which was lovely. That said, it wouldve been even cosier if theyd had a fire already set up with some logs waiting for us - most places weve stayed usually do that, so it felt a bit of a shame we had to buy extra logs (£20!) just to get it going. The hot tub was definitely a highlight and we enjoyed some great walks nearby. We also tried the new Italian restaurant and the food was really nice, definitely worth a visit. The only small gripe was the towels - we booked a place set up for five people, with three bedrooms, but only got two small bath towels and two hand towels for the three nights. I mean, I wouldnt dream of using the same towel for three days at home, let alone on holiday! Wouldve been better with proper bath sheets. Apart from that, the loft was well equipped and we really loved it. Well probably come back - just maybe bring our own towels next time! Its a lovely spot for a cosy getaway.

We stayed at this lovely place recently and honestly, its perfect for a quiet getaway. The house is super well equipped and really cosy, which was great given the rainy December weather. The bath was a real treat and the shower is big enough to enjoy. The location is fantastic, especially if your dogs hate fireworks-so peaceful! Dont worry about the flight path noise, it didnt bother us at all. Thanks a lot!

We had a lovely stay at this charming spot tucked away in a peaceful, private area. The owners were genuinely friendly and always ready to help if needed, yet they didnt intrude on our privacy. After a long day of cycling, the hot tub was just what we needed - absolute bliss! The only thing to mention is that the cottage sits directly under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but it didnt ruin our holiday at all. Would definitely recommend!

We had such a lovely stay! The cottage was spotlessly clean and really well equipped, making everything easy. Plenty of dog walks just outside the door, which was perfect for our furry friends. The host was super friendly and quick to reply. We loved meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig. Cant wait to return, great value! Highly recommend.

At first sight the chalet was underwhelmingand in need of some minor repairs to rendering but once through the door it was amazing with the most beautiful view to wake up to. The patio area was well equipped with hot tub, sun loungers and a table and chairs. Loads to do in the area . Staff were very accommodating and helpful . My family and I truly had a fabulous holiday.
