This superb quirky and well designed mega pod provides everything you need to enjoy a relaxing break either as a couple or small family. There is one king sized bedroom sleeping two which also has a 32" Smart TV, wardrobe, dressing table and two bedside shelving units. Additional sleeping can be found in the living area where there is a small double sofa bed that sleeps two children. The open plan living, dining and kitchen area has everything required to make the most of the space provided, with a wall mounted 32" Smart TV, Bluetooth speaker system and USB sockets throughout you’ll not be short of ways to entertain, especially with the kitchen providing a 2-ring induction hob, microwave/oven combi, fridge and small freezer and sink.It has all you need to create a lovely romantic meal or quickly rustle up some dinner for the family. Lovely little cabin with well thought out interior. Super clean and everything you could want/ need. Highlight was obviously the hot tub which was amazing and clean and private. Loads of lovely little touches and info provided by host to make your stay extra special. Our family of 5 loved it!

We had a great break.The lodge was immaculate with everything you needed to be able to cook and clean and entertain. We were greeted by Melanie shecame to check we had everything we needed or wanted she was lovely and very welcoming. IThe basket of goodies, milk and bottle of Prosecco was such a nice touch thank you ???? We would definitely recommend. Thank you for a brilliant stay. Such a lovely stay, we brought our baby and it was perfect. Melanie was very kind and helpful when I emailed and asked some questions before arriving. And the sheets were so incredibly comfy. Also loved the thoughtful welcome package!

Really well equipped house, lovely and warm too which was so nice on a rainy December day! Bath was just lovely and a nice big shower! The property is under a flight path - this did not disturb us at all! Dont be put off! A great location for dogs who hate fireworks as it's in the middle of nowhere. It was everything we wanted for our weekend away and we loved staying here. We'll definitely be back! Our pups absolutely loved the underfloor heating and had so much fun in the garden. In fact Luna came home with a strained tail and according to the vet it was because she was wagging it so much over the weekend!! Very happy pups and hoomans!

Absolutely loved how well maintained and equipped this cottage is. Plenty of dog walks right on the doorstep. Very friendly host, they were so efficient and communication was excellent. We enjoyed meeting the animals on the farm and the very curious pig penelope. Perfect escape for us and the doggos. Will definitely be back, brilliant value!! Highly recommend.

Very kind and considerate owners. Couldnt be better. Enormously helpful and extremely pleasant. Charming half-timbered cottage with a great strong shower, cosy kitchen & living room combination and very comfortable bed. Fantastic parking directly next to the rented cottage. Well heated and very charming, and spotlessly clean. Great walks across the fields to the local village of Thaxted and of course within easy travelling distance of the village, replete with half-timbered houses and windmill.

The owners Rob & Sharon, have gone to a great deal of work to sympathetically convert this historic building & we couldn't have had a warmer greeting from them both & of course Bonnie. Goddard's Mead has everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The location is in a great area of Essex and would recommend taking the time to wander around Thaxted and other villages/towns nearby to discover it's fascinating history & buildings.

Such a lovely place to stay in a really beautiful, private location. The owners were really friendly and helpful, nearby if needed but without breaking that sense of privacy. The hot tub was perfect after a day of cycling! One thing to be aware of, the cottage is right under Stansted's flight path, and so there's a lot of aircraft noise. It only took us a couple of hours to get used to it and it didn't spoil our holiday at all, but something to be aware of if you're sensitive to noise.

The lovely cottage is situated on a working farm, but is very private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are delightful. The cottage is very spacious with good equipment in the kitchen and the bathroom. The bed is really comfortable. The garden is secluded; dog proof and with good furniture. There are numerous walks around. Thaxted has good restaurants. We liked The Star and The Maypole. The Swan and the Indian are not bad either. We thoroughly recommend this place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Sharon and Robert were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. The accommodation had everything we needed and was clean, comfortable and secure for our dog Archie. The location was ideal too with plenty of walks to find and Thaxted and surrounding villages are lovely places to visit. We felt our batteries had certainly been recharged during our week and we enjoyed our relaxing break!

Stayed here for a week from 15 to 22 July with our 2 mini daschund girls who thoroughly enjoyed there stay making new friends in the village of thaxted. The cottage is lovely especially the hot tub a bonus as it was the hottest days of the year so the water was coolled so it was more refreshing the hosts were very welcoming was nice to see there horses being taken to the fields each day you are on the flight path near stansted but I enjoyed watching the planes come in would definitely recommend
