The cottage was lovely-super peaceful and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The scenery around the farm was stunning and we loved seeing the horses. The owners were really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Honestly, Id recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet, charming retreat!

We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage tucked away on a working farm, yet its surprisingly private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely and made us feel right at home. The place is spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom-really handy. The bed was super comfy, which is always a win. The gardens perfect for dogs, really secluded and with nice furniture. Plus, there are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxteds restaurants, like The Star and The Maypole, are worth checking out. All in all, wed definitely recommend it!

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely park. The staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The lakeside cabin with the hot tub was perfect for some relaxing downtime and it was nice and peaceful there. The only downside was the lack of phone signal and Wifi, which was a bit frustrating, especially with all the booking and online stuff these days. We had to park away from the cabin, which was a minor inconvenience. Still, fingers crossed they sort out the Wifi soon-it's a great spot!

We had such a lovely stay! The owners were genuinely friendly and made us feel really welcome, which was a lovely touch. The cottage itself is adorable, with charming traditional features and a super comfy bed. The shower was powerful, which we appreciated after long walks. Parking right outside was so convenient and the place was spotless and cosy. We enjoyed wandering through the fields to Thaxted, its such a pretty village and easy to get to other spots too. Definitely recommend!

We had such a lovely stay at Goddard's Mead. Rob and Sharon put so much effort into restoring this historic building and it really shows. They were incredibly welcoming and Bonnie made us feel right at home too. The location is perfect for exploring Essex, especially if you enjoy wandering around charming villages like Thaxted. Its a peaceful spot, ideal for relaxing. Wed definitely recommend it if you want a comfy break in a beautiful setting!

The bungalow was super cosy and spotless, which we really appreciated. We didnt check out the on-site restaurant or the taverns entertainment, so cant say much about those. But honestly, the peaceful vibe at night was just perfect for us.

We loved the brick-built bungalow, it really has everything you need straight away. The only tiny thing was the wall heater - its a bit loud when watching TV, so an oil-filled radiator might be better. Overall, super comfy, spotless and the shower was a breeze to use. Would stay again!

We stayed at this lodge recently and honestly, it's really lovely-clean, well-kept and quite cosy. The main bedroom was a good size and the hot tub was a lovely addition. Only downside was no towels, just tea towels, which was a bit disappointing considering its marketed as premium. Still, we enjoyed our stay!

We spent a week in one of the bungalows and honestly, it was a pretty good base for our Cornwall trip. Most of the attractions and spots we wanted to visit were easy to get to from there. The bungalow itself was clean, tidy and had everything we needed-no complaints on that front. We had heard some grumbles about the beds, but they were fine for us and we slept well. The park was peaceful, which was perfect for relaxing between days out. The only real downsides were the Wi-Fi-completely useless, dont even bother mentioning it-and parking was a bit of a squeeze when the park was full, making it tricky to get in and out. Oh and its definitely easier to head into the park from the north via the B3266. Overall, a decent spot, especially if youre after a quiet place to stay.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The villa was lovely and well-equipped, though it did miss a clothes airer, which was a bit inconvenient for drying towels. Also, it was a bit disappointing that the bedding wasnt changed during our two-week visit, as were used to more regular changes abroad. Still, the amenities were good and it was a pleasant place to relax.

We loved this charming cottage! Its tucked away enough to feel private but still close to shops and eateries. The hot tub was a real treat and the underfloor heating kept everything super cosy. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel really welcome. Cant wait to return!
