Visitor Reviews of Green Meadows Country Park

Bev
Loved the lodge, best one we have stayed in. Very clean and everthing we needed. The only thing really is when we arrived the hot tube area was full of dog hairs, when we got in and out of the hot tube it start to have a film of hairs on the surface so put us off on our last day. Apart from that really great break.

Stayed in the Athena VIP lodge for 4 nights. Booked pretty last minute and was skeptical having seen some of the recent negative online reviews. However, we were so pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Lodge was gorgeous, spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Hot tub was nice and warm and was checked daily by staff. The site itself was quiet and peaceful. It's without amenities like a clubhouse and swimming pool, but that wasn't an issue to us at all.The main downside was that phone signal and WiFi was pretty rubbish. It would be good to have actual WiFi rather than 4G-based broadband (because the 4G doesn't really work)We will 100% be returning to the area and staying at Green Meadows in the near future - we enjoyed every minute of our trip.

Very nice and clean. Has everything you need. Only thing we did think would possibly improve is a small hoover of sorts. We were wanting to give the place a once over as we have 2 kids and there crumbs etc.

Lodge had everything you needed, modern, comfortable. The large deck was great and was fully enclosed round the hot tub for more privacy.

Lodge was lovely. Lovely peaceful surroundings. Kept to a high standard around the park. Staff all very helpful. Hot tub was great. If your looking for somewhere not to far away from shops etc and want to chill this is your calling. Please go . X

Caravan/lodge was not luxury and the one shown in pictures that we booked, and had smaller bedrooms. Although surfaces and floors were cleaned the caravan furniture and carpets were very dirty, missing and broken blinds throughout and front door not closing properly. No Internet

Lodge very modern & clean.Perfect addition is the hot tub.Had all equipment needed.Couple of niggles - Blind kept falling down in bath room, WiFi & tv signal not the best & kick board in kitchen kept falling down everytime you opened the dishwasher. These things wouldn't stop us staying again for third time.

Although it was a lovely relaxing holiday & we were so lucky to have had great weather for the week we were there, we feel the lodge was tidy, clean & comfortable but more attention to detail could be required at times as we spent most of two days waiting for a plumber to fix a pipe under the sink. Even although it's self catering there could be more cooking utensils eg wooden spoons, slotted spoon, sieve/colander. There is a good sized fridge freezer but no cupboard space for storing foodstuffs. The hot tub was checked every day & the girls were all lovely. East access to Carlisle with supermarkets within driving distance as well as the M6.Various pubs within driving distance for a pub lunch or evening meal. If you're looking for a relaxing peaceful holiday with no entertainment on site then it's worth a try. We felt welcomed on site & enjoyed the peace & quiet . Also able to take our dog which was great

Fabulous lodge. Fully equipped and spotlessly clean. Large hot tub. Free EV charging. Dog walking field. Peaceful location but plenty of shops and walks within 10 minute drive. Would highly recommend.

Very tight squeeze for 6 adults and a dog, lots of things were broken/broke while we were there (towel rail, fascia in kitchen, leg on table, bathroom blind, chair, boiler, cooker knob). Pool shallow, no instructions, told we couldnt turn of auto so no bubbles. Only refilled once.

We had a fabulous holiday, the lodge had everything we needed. The location of the site was great, we were able to explore the local area which the kids enjoyed. The hot tub was kept topped up and the maintenance staff were lovely. The dog field was ideal. It would be nice if there was a play area for the kids but we booked it knowing there wasnt one so that isnt a complaint just a suggestion. We would come back again as we loved it.

We had a fantastic time! The hot tub was a real highlight and despite a few tiny issues, it didnt spoil anything.

We recently stayed in this lovely one-bedroom lodge and honestly, it exceeded our expectations. The place was spotless and the kitchen was surprisingly well equipped with all the utensils we needed. The decking area with the hot tub was a real highlight, though adding a small table would make it perfect since there are already two chairs out there. The bedroom was really spacious, with a big wardrobe, but a few shelves or more hangers would be handy. Having Netflix and Prime on the TV was a great bonus for winding down in the evenings. All in all, we had a fantastic break and wouldnt hesitate to come back!

What a lovely 1 bedroom lodge. It was exceptionally clean and the kitchen well stocked with utensils. We use lodges in other parts of the UK on a regular basis and this is by far the best one we have stayed in. The decking area is really good with a lovely hot tub. It could be enhanced with a table to go with the 2 chairs already there. The bedroom is spacious with a large wardrobe - shelving for smalls and clothes hangers would be useful. TV with Netflix and Prime access is a bonus. In all we had a super break and would definitely book again.

We had a lovely stay here! If you're after a peaceful, chill spot, this place hits the mark. The lodges are really modern, comfy and surprisingly pet-friendly which is a bonus for us. Even though there arent loads of facilities on site, its only a quick five-minute drive to Carlisle, where youll find plenty of shops and things to do. The best part? The location is brilliant-less than 45 minutes to the Lake District, which is absolutely stunning and offers loads for all tastes. The lodges themselves are spotless and cosy and each one comes with a hot tub that was ready when we arrived-perfect for unwinding after a day out exploring. We definitely want to come back and see more of the area!

If youre looking for a quiet and relaxing place then this is the perfect spot. The lodges are modern and comfortable and pet friendly. Although there are no facilities on site you are just a five minute drive away from Carlisle which has plenty of shops and attractions. The location means you are no more than a 45 minute drive away from the stunning Lake District which has something for everyone. The lodges are clean and comfortable and with each lodge having a hot tub (which was amazing) and ready for use when we arrived, this it means you can relax in it after a day exploring everything the area has to offer. We will certainly be returning to explore further.

We stayed at this lodge recently and honestly, it exceeded our expectations! The photos didn't quite capture how spacious and modern it really is. Everything was spotless and the hot tub was such a treat after a long day. The heating was perfect too. Were definitely coming back and already told friends about it. Highly recommended for a relaxing break!

We recently spent three lovely days at this pet-friendly lodge and honestly, it was quite a treat. The place is well-furnished and has everything you might need for a short break, which made settling in really easy. The location is perfect for exploring and we managed to visit both Scotland and Newcastle easily-so its a great base for sightseeing. The only downside was how close the lodges are to each other; were used to a bit more space around us. But theyve thought about privacy, especially around the hot tub and the lockable gate on the verandah was a real bonus for the dog. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay here!

Beautiful lodge - I always book places expecting them to be not quite as nice as the photos but honestly the photos don't do it justice. It was huge, clean, and very modern, the hottub was a delight the heating worked fantastic, and it had everything you need for a lovely stay. Will 100% book again and have already recommended it to friends and family.

We absolutely didnt want to leave! This place is truly fantastic. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless and well thought out. The modern design is stunning and its in a really handy spot near shops and attractions. The only thing wed mention is the bedroom curtains let in a lot of light, so early mornings are a given unless you bring an eye mask. Overall, a really lovely stay!

We had such a lovely weekend here! The site was really well looked after and the lodge was gorgeous, especially the hot tub which felt so relaxing. The interior was tasteful and we appreciated the little touches like the robe and slippers laid out on the bed. The kitchen had everything we needed, though a pizza cutter wouldve been handy - not a biggie. The only downside was a faint foisty smell near the bedroom, but Im quite sensitive to smells and my partner didnt notice anything. A mat at the entrance from the hot tub wouldve been a good idea. Overall, pet loved it and were definitely coming back!

We had such a lovely stay! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how stunning the lodge was. Everything inside felt top quality, from the comfy soft furnishings to the well-equipped kitchen. The location was perfect, close to local shops, only a few miles from Carlisle town centre and a short drive to the coast and some historic spots. Our host was really helpful and the park was spotless and peaceful. Definitely coming back!

We had a lovely weekend at Green Meadows Country Park in the Lakewood VIP Pet Lodge. The lodge was gorgeous, so modern and clean considering it was a pet lodge! The hot tub was a great addition and the water fountain at the front of the lodge made it very relaxing. Would highly recommend:)
Sharon
I would 100% recommend this park. Absolutely spotless caravan. Hot tub maintained daily. Complimentary bath robes, slippers, towels and a lovely bottle of cava on arrival. Cannot wait to go back
Alyson
Beautiful and spotless lodge, super friendly staff. Great central location. Will definitely be back!
Lauren
Very lovely holiday park and lodge. Staff were very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. As the lodge was so new, there were a couple of things that needed sorting, but nothing that made our time any less enjoyable. Would definitely go back!!
Catrina
We arrived later than planned to discover that the van we booked had been given to someone else But after a bit of time we were given another one no problem. The lodge was fine but felt there could have been a bit more facilities on site such as convenience shop, play park for kids and maybe a restaurant as you really had to drive into carlisle to get anything and better signposted from motorway The lodge could have had more hooks for hanging things back of bedroom door didn’t have any Apart from that good
Michelle
Lovely environment, super clean and modern! Alison was very accommodating and a lovely welcoming Lady x
Natalie
Fantastic lodge had everything that we needed. It a exceed our expectations lovely and clean and amazing hot tub. Can't wait to come back.
