We really enjoyed the stay, the lodge was lovely and comfortable. The only thing we found tricky was figuring out how to use the dishwasher and oven since there werent any instructions. Also, the lodges quite a trek from the entertainment area and no beach access. A cars definitely a must here!

We just got back from a cozy four-night stay at this cottage and honestly, we had a great time! The owners were really friendly and helpful without being pushy, which we appreciated. We spent a lovely week here from 15 to 22 July with our two tiny dachshunds, who had a great time making friends in the charming village of Thaxted. The cottage was really cosy and well-kept and the hot tub was a real treat-especially during the scorching weather, as it was kept cool and super refreshing. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming; it was nice to see them taking their dogs out to the fields each day. Being near Stansteds flight path was fascinating, watching planes land was quite a sight. Wed definitely recommend for a relaxed getaway!
