The lodge really wowed us with its gorgeous decor and cosy feel. We loved how well-equipped the kitchen was - best we've seen in a rental, especially that coffee machine! We had such a great time, definitely planning to come back again soon. Highly recommended!

We loved this cosy little cottage! Perfect mix of seclusion and convenience-close enough to town but still peaceful. The hot tub was a real highlight and the underfloor heating kept us super warm. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie were lovely hosts. Cant wait to return soon!

We had such a lovely stay at Goddard's Mead! Rob and Sharon really put in a lot of effort to convert this historic building with such care and they made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived-plus Bonnie is adorable! The location is fantastic, perfect for exploring Thaxted and the surrounding villages. Its a peaceful spot with everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing break. Definitely recommend taking a bit of time to explore the local history & sights too!

We had an excellent time at the cottage! The setting was truly peaceful, with stunning farm views and the horses wandering about-absolutely lovely. The owners were super friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome. Definitely a great spot for anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing escape. Highly recommended!

We had an absolutely lovely stay! The owners are genuinely wonderful-so kind and always ready to help. The cottage is charming, with that lovely half-timbered look and its kept spotless. The shower is really powerful and the cosy kitchen plus the comfy bed made it feel just like home. Parking right next to the cottage is a bonus and the location is perfect for walks to Thaxted and exploring nearby villages with their pretty windmill and traditional houses. Wed definitely come back!
