Date of stay: 26th September 2024
We had a really pleasant stay in this lovely 3-bedroom place, all ensuite which was perfect. The only thing we missed was a spot to hang our coats - it could get a bit tricky if the weather was wet. The location is fantastic, not just for exploring the showcaves but also for walking around the Gower Peninsula and visiting the Ape Sanctuary, which is actually pretty good fun. The staff were super friendly and helpful and everything was spotless. Plus, the free heated pool, games room and crazy golf made it even better. Wed def come back!

We honestly had a cracking time at Brecon Resort. The scenery around there is just stunning, really peaceful. The team on site were super friendly and made us feel right at home from the get-go. When we arrived at the Red Dragon cottage, we were greeted with a lovely basket full of treats, which was a lovely touch. Inside, the place was spotless and well-equipped, especially with the two saunas, spa baths and a good shower - perfect for relaxing. We didnt go far since it was just a short break, but we practically had the pool all to ourselves, which was a bonus. The kids were over the moon with the games room, playing pool, air hockey, shuffleboard and ping pong. We also took a trip to the caves, dinosaur park and shirehorse centre. Cant wait to come back in the summer!

We had a really lovely time! Sharon and Robert were fantastic hosts, making us feel genuinely welcome right from the start. The place was spotlessly clean, cosy and safe for Archie, which meant we could relax completely. The location was perfect, with loads of scenic walks nearby and the charming villages like Thaxted made exploring a real treat. Honestly, we left feeling refreshed and eager to come back soon!

We loved the cottage! Its perfect for a quiet escape, tucked away but still near shops and cafes. The hot tub was a real treat and the underfloor heating made everything super comfy. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie are lovely hosts. Cant wait to come back for longer!

Date of stay: 6th June 2024
We had a lovely week here from 15th to 22nd July with our two mini dachshunds, who absolutely loved their time in the village of Thaxted. The cottage itself is really charming and the hot tub was a real treat-especially during the scorching weather, as it was cooled down and super refreshing. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming, it was nice to see them taking their dogs to the fields each day. Being near Stansteds flight path was actually pretty interesting, watching the planes land. Definitely a place wed come back to!
Oliver
Date of stay: 1st June 2024
We had such a lovely stay here! The owners are genuinely friendly and went out of their way to help us with everything. The cottage itself is adorable, with its charming half-timbered look and a really powerful shower that was a real treat after a day out. The bed was super comfy and the cosy kitchen and lounge made us feel right at home. Parking right next to the cottage was a bonus and it was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed walking across the fields to Thaxted and its a short drive to the windmill and those lovely old houses. Definitely recommend!

Really enjoyed our stay, spotlessly clean and super comfy.

Date of stay: 26th May 2024
We stayed in a different cottage than the one shown in the pictures, but honestly, it was fine overall. The steep slope to the row and the distance to carry our things was a bit of a pain, but we managed. Everything we needed was there, except for a bread knife, though we usually bring our own. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. The bedroom emergency lights were a bit annoying with that bright green glow all night, but we get its a safety thing. The rooms were spacious, but the living room was a bit dark, so we had to use the lights quite a bit.
Oliver, Swindon
Date of stay: 10th May 2024
We stayed at this cottage recently and honestly, it was pretty lovely. The three bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms were a real bonus and having a separate lounge and dining area made things much more comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, which made cooking easy and the heating kept us cosy during the chilly weather. The sauna was a nice touch, especially on rainy days-definitely appreciated that! Being on the National Showcaves site was a real perk and the dinos outside kept the kids entertained. The place was spotless too, with the fogging for COVID peace of mind. The only thing to be aware of is the steep path leading up to the cottage; we had quite a bit of luggage, including for a baby, so it was a bit of a trek. Luckily, we had some fit friends with us, so it wasnt an issue. Overall, a great stay!

We had a fantastic time at this cottage! The place is spotless and so well stocked, really felt like a home away from home. There are loads of lovely walks nearby, perfect for our doggos. The host was really friendly and quick to respond, which made everything easy. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a real highlight. Well definitely be coming back - such great value! Highly recommend.
