Eight of you, one roof, and a bubbling tub on the deck when the walking boots come off. That’s the dream for a two-family break, a reunion with old friends or a multi generation get-together, but finding the right place takes more digging than it should. Most big holiday homes you’ll find online are cottages, and plenty of large “lodges” have no tub at all.
So we’ve done the digging. Below are seven UK parks with lodges that sleep 8 with hot tub decking right outside, from the Cornish coast to the Trossachs, plus more by area further down.
Every park here is live on our site, and every one has a private hot tub on the deck of its big lodges, so you won’t be sharing with strangers.

Seven parks with 8-berth hot tub lodges
We’ve spread these across England, Wales and Scotland, so there’s a group getaway within reach wherever your guests are coming from. Each park has at least one lodge sleeping 8 with its own tub, and most have bigger ones if the list grows.
Ramshorn Estate Woodland Lodges, Staffordshire
Where: Staffordshire Moorlands, near the Peak District | Sleeps: 8 to 14 | Pets: most lodges | Rating: 4.8

Picture 30 acres of natural woodland in a quiet corner of the Staffordshire countryside, with Alton Towers only minutes down the road. Ramshorn is the highest rated park on this list, and it’s built for groups. Farley, Wootton, Ellastone, Denstone and Dimmingsdale all sleep 8 with a private tub, and dogs can come to every one of them.
Inside, it’s luxury without fuss: stylish, modern furnishings, a cosy woodburner and views into the trees. Weaver and Norbury sleep 12, Stanton takes 14, and some of the bigger lodges add a games room, so there’s a large lodge for most group sizes.
Split the days between rollercoasters and the hills of the Peak District. Our guide to lodges near Matlock Bath covers the cable cars and walks under an hour away.
Retallack Resort and Spa, Cornwall
Where: Cornish countryside, 15 minutes from Padstow | Sleeps: 8 to 12 | Pets: some lodges | Rating: 4.1

Retallack is the lively pick. There’s a huge “total wipeout” style aqua park, paddle boards, a wake park and Cornwall’s only FlowRider, so the competitive ones in your group will have plenty to argue about over dinner. Calmer days mean a spa treatment, the indoor swimming pool and a long lunch at The Lookout Bar and Restaurant.
Choose an 8-berth superior wooden lodge or one of the luxury 8-berth barns, a few of which have the tub up on a roof terrace with views over the countryside.
The lake view barn house sleeps 12. Our guide to lodges near Padstow has the harbour, the Camel Trail and the best beach days nearby.
Shorefield Country Park, Hampshire
Where: Milford-on-Sea, between the New Forest and the coast | Sleeps: 8 to 12 | Pets: the Pet lodges | Rating: 4.6

Got children in the eight? Shorefield is the one. The facilities cover 100 acres of parkland, with indoor and outdoor pools manned by lifeguards, play areas for every age, forest dens, wildlife walks, a fitness centre and an entertainment team for the evenings. It’s a proper family holiday park.
The Signature Lodge 4 sleeps 8 across four bedrooms with two bathrooms, and the Signature 4 Plus Lodge (Pet) brings the dog along. Need more room? Try the Signature 5 (sleeps 10) or Signature 6 (sleeps 12).
New Forest ponies wander the heath a few miles inland. Milford’s beach is on the doorstep, and a luxury holiday home here puts you between the New Forest and the sea. Our Beaulieu guide covers the New Forest side.
Stratford Upon Avon Lodge Retreat, Warwickshire
Where: 10 minutes from Stratford-upon-Avon | Sleeps: 8 to 10 | Pets: Wilmcote Lodge | Rating: 4.6

A night at the theatre, then a late soak under the stars? This quiet retreat is part of the Evermore Collection, set in open countryside 10 minutes from the medieval town where Shakespeare was born.
Wilmcote Lodge Premier sleeps 8 and takes dogs, while the spacious Alderminster Lodge Premier sleeps 10.
The Royal Shakespeare Theatre, The Swan Theatre and The Other Place all stage live plays, and you can prebook tickets at the retreat for a discount. Chipping Campden, the first of the north Cotswolds villages, is about 10 miles away, and our guide to lodges near Stratford-upon-Avon has more ideas for a special occasion.
Keldy, North Yorkshire
Where: North York Moors National Park, near Pickering | Sleeps: up to 8 | Pets: the Pet lodge | Hot tub: every lodge

Deep inside the Forestry Commission estate on the edge of the North York Moors, Keldy puts the trees and wildlife right outside your door.
The Classic Golden Oak 4 is the one for eight. These Forest Holidays cabins are built over two floors with two double beds and four twin beds, so it suits two families sleeping 8 between them. You’ll also get a log burner, a barbecue on the deck, a full kitchen and more than one bathroom, so nobody’s queuing in the morning. The Classic Golden Oak Treehouse sleeps 8 as well.
Pickering’s steam railway is close by. See our lodges near Pickering guide for the moors, Whitby and the beach at Scarborough.
Garwnant Brecon Beacons, Powys
Where: Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), Wales | Sleeps: 8 to 10 | Pets: the Pet lodges | Rating: 4.4

New in 2023, Garwnant sits in a peaceful valley under one of the UK’s Dark Sky reserves. On a clear night, eight of you squeezed round the tub will see more stars than you knew existed!
Hikes, nature trails and cycle paths start right from the park. The Golden Oak 4 sleeps 8, and the Golden Oak Treehouse sleeps 10 with its fifth bedroom in a separate treehouse pod. Pen y Fan, the highest peak in southern Britain, is a short drive away, and our Pen y Fan guide has the routes up.
Strathyre Lodges, the Trossachs
Where: Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, Loch Lubnaig | Sleeps: 8 to 10 | Pets: the Pet lodges | Rating: 4.6

Ben Ledi rises behind the cabins, and Loch Lubnaig sits in front. Red squirrels, pine martens and red deer all live in the forest here, and Glasgow is only 39 miles away, which makes it an easy getaway for friends from the central belt.
Book the Golden Oak Lochside 4 for loch views from your private hot tub. It sleeps 8. There’s a Golden Oak 4 (Pet) for dog owners, and the treehouse sleeps 10.
The village of Callander has pubs and restaurants for a night off cooking. Browse more lodges in Scotland if you’d like to look further north.

How do you pick lodges that sleep 8 with hot tub space for everyone?
Sleeping eight isn’t the same as eight people being comfortable for four nights. Before you book group accommodation, check these:
- The bedroom layout. Two doubles and four twin beds suits two families. Four couples will want four doubles, so read the floor plan.
- Bathrooms. Two is the minimum for eight. An en suite to the main bedroom is a bonus.
- The tub itself. Many seat around six, so with eight of you it’s often a case of taking turns. Nobody minds with a drink in hand.
- Kitchen and dining space. Look for a table that seats all of you, as dinner together is half the fun, and a games room is a bonus on rainy evenings.
- Parking. Forest Holidays’ Forest of Dean cabins, for example, come with two spaces for a 4-bed cabin and three for a treehouse, so share lifts.
- Arrival times. Forest Holidays check in is usually from 4pm and check out is before 10am.
Splitting the cost between eight of you
The best thing about a large lodge is the maths. Split the bill eight ways and a luxury stay with its own tub often works out cheaper per head than a hotel room, and you get a kitchen, a living area and views from the deck thrown in. Pop your total in below.
Hot tub tips for a group of eight
Eight people means the tub gets plenty of use, and a few simple habits keep it clean and safe for everyone. The British and Irish Spa and Hot Tub Association (BISHTA) says bathing in water above 40°C can be dangerous, so leave the temperature where the park sets it.
Shower before you get in, keep drinks in plastic cups and have water to hand. The usual advice is that children under five shouldn’t go in at all, while older children should always be watched and only stay in for short spells.
Parks such as Ramshorn and the Forest Holidays sites check their tubs daily, so it’s ready when you arrive.
What to pack for a lodge break for eight
- Swimwear for everyone (and a spare, as the tub gets used a lot)
- Flip flops or sliders for the deck
- Extra towels or robes
- Plastic cups and a jug for drinks outside
- A shared food plan and shopping list
- Card games or a board game for big evenings
- Walking boots and waterproofs
- Head torches for the walk back after dark
- A bluetooth speaker (kept low for the neighbours)
- Dog bed, towel and lead if your dog is coming
- Charcoal or food for the barbecue
- Phone chargers and an extension lead
