Our weekend was fantastic! Rachael was incredibly helpful, quick to respond via phone and email. The village has some charming pubs, though the 50-minute walk was a bit of a trek, but still worth it for the experience!

The lodges themselves are OK, reasonably well equipped and good decor. We won't be returning though. The website gives a check in time of "after 4pm" it's only after booking and paying that you get a message that check in is only between 5 and 6pm, with fines if even 1 minute late! This meant we had to take extra time off work and turned an already long journey into a really stressful one, worrying about being late if the traffic was bad. Other things to bear in mind are that the description details zip lock beds, which they aren't and caused us problems, the website also has a check out time of "before 10 am", but it's actually before 9am, again with fines if a minute late. Not the fault of the accommodation but if you're not a keen angler there's very little to do in the local area.

The place was lovely overall, though we did notice a broken toilet seat which was a bit of a pain. Also, a couple of tiles in the kitchen were cracked. We mentioned it to reception, so fingers crossed it gets fixed soon!

Willow Lakes is such a peaceful spot, honestly. The lodges are super well-equipped and comfy - we felt right at home. The staff, especially Laurence, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The Landmark is lovely for a bite or a coffee, but definitely book early! We had a lovely break away from everything and can't wait to return. Definitely recommend!

We recently stayed at Willow Lakes Lodge and honestly, its a really peaceful spot. The whole vibe is super relaxing and Lawrence really makes a difference - such a genuine, warm guy, attentive without being overbearing. It honestly helps make the whole experience feel special. We booked the Woodpecker lodge, which is adults only and it was spotless - Ive stayed in plenty of places and this one was definitely up there in cleanliness. The view of the lake, along with the wildlife and horses, really adds to the charm. The restaurant served great food and the staff were all lovely. The only two things wed mention as minor niggles - first, the hot tub area isnt fully fenced, which felt a bit odd, especially for an executive lodge where privacy is key. Secondly, the signage for the reception is a bit confusing, as it mentions sales, which might make you think its more about buying a lodge than checking in. Still, overall, a lovely place to unwind!

The sofa was comfy, but honestly, a bit more room wouldve been perfect for our group of four. We felt a little cramped sometimes, especially after a long day. Still, overall, quite a nice place!

We stayed at the lodge recently and found it quite cosy and clean overall. However, theres a fair few things that need fixing-main bathroom taps are loose, the sink plug is broken and the paintwork looks a bit battered. The en suite shower door is stiff and the blinds, especially the one behind the TV, are pretty awful. Still, its a decent place, but some repairs would make it much better!

We had a really lovely stay overall. The beds were super comfy and the wifi worked perfectly both inside and out on the decking, which is such a peaceful spot overlooking the lake. One thing we thought would improve the place is having a TV in at least one bedroom, especially for winter evenings. The only downside was the lounge seating - the L-shaped sofa wasnt very comfortable and with only two of us, we wondered where four people would sit if needed. The owner was really helpful and explained everything clearly at check-in. All in all, a relaxing break!

Wow, where do we even start? We recently had the most lovely, chilled-out break at Willow Lakes Lodges and honestly, it was just what we needed. From the moment we arrived, everything felt smooth and welcoming. Jo checked us in with a big smile and Lawrence was a star, guiding us to our lodge and showing us how to use the heating just in case we needed it. Both of them were super friendly and couldnt do enough to help. It really made a difference. The lodge itself was absolutely gorgeous. Spacious, clean and so well thought out. The open-plan living space was perfect for relaxing, with comfy sofas big enough for six and a smart TV so we could binge Netflix or Prime after a day out. Wi-fi was solid throughout, which was great for streaming or catching up on messages. The dining area was lovely, with a six-seater table and a breakfast bar-ideal for lazy mornings. The kitchen was fully equipped; we loved the half-size dishwasher, full fridge and freezer and the washer/dryer combo, which made packing and cleaning a breeze. They even left dishwashing tablets and hand gel - such thoughtful touches.Sleeping was a dream. The bedrooms were spacious and comfy, with mattresses that felt like sleeping on clouds. The pillows and duvets were so soft and blackout blinds in every room helped us sleep in despite the early sunrises. There was plenty of storage, with wardrobes, drawers and hangers, so it was easy to unpack and settle in. The master bedroom had an en-suite with a rainfall shower - pure bliss after a day exploring. The main bathroom was huge, with a bath and shower combo and there was no shortage of hot water or towels - six large, six small, plus bath mats.We loved sitting out on the veranda, which had a lovely table and six chairs, offering stunning views over Willow Lake. We enjoyed the early morning sun till around 3 pm, when it got a bit cooler, but shade was no problem. The setting was just perfect - so close to the water, with frequent sights of fish, geese and their goslings, moorhens and their chicks. We dont fish ourselves, but the lake was stocked with large fish and we watched some keen anglers landing plenty of catches, all safely returned to the water.Theres loads to do on-site. We took a lovely walk up the hill to the top and ran down the big field - excellent for a bit of fun. Theres even a livery with lots of horses, which was lovely to see. For those wanting different types of stay, there are holiday cottages and pitches for tents near a smaller lake, so plenty of options if youre after variety.A huge shoutout to Lawrence and Jo - honestly, theyre the heart of this place. Nothing was too much trouble; theyre clearly proud of their site and really care about their guests. They leave their mobile numbers in the lodge, so you can contact them anytime if needed. Plus, they live nearby, so help is always on hand if anything comes up. The site itself is beautifully maintained - constant tidying, planting and mowing keep it looking pristine, which we really appreciated. All in all, well definitely be returning to Willow Lakes Lodges. Its a fantastic place for a peaceful getaway and we left feeling completely relaxed and happy. Cant recommend it enough!
