Lovely spacious cottage. Just remember to take towels, hand wash etc. We only put the heating on in the morning for an hour but it soon warmed up and felt really cosy

Apartment needed an upgrade flooring damaged, doors damaged and curtains not matching. Our expectations were high when we booked and saw photos on the webpage of an apartment but this is not what we got.

Had a great time, definitely recommend, hoping to go again next year. Plenty of places to visit, recommend the Piebald Inn, not to far from the sight, with their menu of 52 different pies.

The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Although there was nowhere enclosed for our dog outside the cabin, I had read this and came equipped with a long line so she could still be outside with us. There was a huge field behind our cabin which was ideal for walking her outside to do her business, The furniture on the veranda was a bit shabby and only one of the chairs had a cushion. The bed unfortunately felt like it wasn't level so I could only sleep on one side as if I lay the other way it felt like I would roll off.I wouldn't describe it as luxury, but it was certainly very comfortable and had everything we needed.

No problems found in the apartment. Very clean and comfortable. The location was near to the shop, pharmacy and 2 pubs. We had a problem getting anything to eat on Sunday evening. My husband called into The John Paul Jones and booked for us to go for a meal at 6pm. (This was about 15:30pm) We got ready and went insideat 18:00pm only to be told by a young man (staff) that they had a technical problem and weren't serving food. When he went over to several staff members he said something to them and they all glanced at us smirking. Very rude!! The Four Cats pub was closed as well. We ordered drinks and sat outside. We were hungry as we had been out all day and were looking forward to the meal. We ended up having cereal as we were leaving the next morning and supplies were low. We noticed that they were doing breakfast the next morning as ex- pub managers we were wondering how they got repairs done between 19:00 and breakfast time on a Sunday??? Again this was very disappointing.

A lovely cottage with everything you could need for a good holiday. A washing machine which came in handy especially with a six year old with us.

Great location for us.We stayed in a Lakeside lodge. Access great for mobility issues.Unfortunately we found the beds uncomfortable, way too soft; and the kitchen utensils basic. The lodge is for 4 people and there is only 4 place settings which means you are constantly washing pots. There was no umbrella for outside. The whole lodge felt like it needed a deep clean and paint. It wasn't dirty just unloved.Basic

Perfectly adequate with everything that you would need. Only issue was the toaster which was too small to toast a standard size loaf evenly.

Poor wife disabled and was phoned to confirm this but still put into a upstairs apartment nearest parking over 100 yard away so confined to apartment on hottest day of year as up and down stairs not a option

A lovely lodge. Very clean and nicely decorated. We would prefer a more closed in balcony with a dog in our party but that is a personal preference. The only criticism is that there needs to be more crockery and cutlery provided given there is a dishwasher to use. One set per person isnt enough in that case.

The accomodation was more than adequate (beach hut) but could have done with a spring clean. I mistakenly booked pet friendly (despite not needing it) and had to arrange a further clean as floors werent suitable for kids to play. There were cobwebs throughout in the hard to reach places and dusty so whilst it was ok for our stay, I dont think it was value for money. Also, its frustrating that towels are only included in certain accommodation types particularly when this generally is something that is included as standard across other holiday sites.

The lodge was nice, spacious and very clean. Had a broken bi fold door to the balcony. But the balcony and space was perfect. Was disappointed there was no tea/coffee/milk welcome pack for arrival esp for the price we paid for the week.

Beach house had everything we needed , it was well equipped , clean and very spacious, we had amazing weather so siting around the table outside on the veranda was lovely , also close to the local public house/restaurant.

Our holiday was amazing, the lodges were clean and well kept, in a beautiful location on the lake, the facilities and the short walk to the beach were all amazing. My only downfall was the one night we decided to eat out at the John Paul Jones, albeit we were a large party, we tried to order off the QR code system but there was very little signal and poor WiFi, making it a logistical nightmare. Once we finally placed our order, 2 were cancelled because one item was not available on the menu, meaning orders were placed at the bar and despite having our table booked for 18:30, some of us didnt eat until 20:15. The food was questionable too, a gammon steak arrived as a charred piece of thick bacon, overcooked veg and this was highly frustrating. I would take your own food or order in if you are a large party! Overall though this didnt dampen our spirits, we had a fantastic weekend of fun and the site was lovely. Memories to last a lifetime! Thank you Bay Filey

We stayed in an indulgent lodge. The size of the lodge and outside area was great. Each room had an en-suite. It was very impressive at first sight and was decorated and dressed like a show home. However there was an awful noise from the dripping kitchen tap anytime anyone washed hands, flushed the toilet or used a shower. It was reported to reception and were told someone would look at it but they didnt show up. The door to the patio was also broken so once open it was hard to lock again without trying to screw back in the loose screws. The dishwasher didnt work and the ceiling fans were thick with dust on the tops. The lights in the main living area also disinterested work. There was a bit of biscuit and rubbish under the bed & wardrobe in the kids room that had been missed before we arrived. The lodge could also do with more than six knives/forks/ spoons/ bowls & plates. As a family of 5 there wasnt enough to get through the day without having to wash up every time we used something. Impressive accommodation let down by the above.

Great house, two good sized bedrooms off a spacious landing with wide stairs and a skylight above the stairs. This gave a comforting feeling of not being enclosed. Downstairs is mainly open plan off a large hallway with a large downstairs WC, again not cramped on entering. A small but well maintained open plan rear garden area with a patio set. The kitchen was well equipped with a good sized worktop. The house heats up very quickly which is great for winter breaks and there is a parking space immediately outside.
