We just got back from a weekend at Romansleigh retreat for my 50th birthday and honestly, it was lovely. The place was spotless, way cleaner than other spots we've stayed at and the hot tub was spot on - warm and well-maintained, which is such a relief since we've been disappointed elsewhere. The location isnt super secluded during busy times, but that didnt bother us because most of the other lodges nearby were empty. The facilities are pretty basic, but the games room was fun, especially for our little ones, even if we couldnt get the pool table to work - no one around to help, but its no biggie. Plenty to explore in the area and we even had a chat with the friendly farmer next door. Just a heads up, the private road signage is a must - lots of folks seem to miss it and walk up the lane with dogs, which can be a bit annoying. Overall, a lovely break in beautiful surroundings!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The peaceful setting with lovely views was perfect. The lodges were spotless and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a bonus and the games room kept the kids entertained for ages. Definitely recommend!

The lodge was pretty much perfect for us. Comfortable beds and all the essentials. Only gripe was the hot tub being cold on a couple of days, bit disappointing. Still, lovely stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. The views were absolutely stunning and the hot tub was a lovely touch. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. The bed was a bit firm for our liking, but thats just personal preference. Its close to shops and pubs too. Would come back!

We really enjoyed our stay, especially the lovely walking areas for our dog. The unit itself was great, though we did notice some marks on the walls compared to last year. Heard the place is in administration now, so understandable if the upkeeps a bit missed. Fingers crossed it keeps going strong!

Really enjoyed our stay! The staff were super friendly and the grounds are lovely. Great location, well signposted, but narrow lanes can be tricky.

We had a lovely stay at the lodge! The place was spotless and bringing our dogs along was no problem at all. The staff were super friendly and helpful, always ready with tips or assistance. The hot tub was just right and the grounds made for some nice walks with our pups. Thanks a lot, team!

The staff greeted us with smiles and made us feel really welcome right from the start. They were super helpful when showing us around the lodge and explaining how everything worked. The lodge itself was spotless and looked after beautifully, really high standards. The setting was stunning-so peaceful and perfect for a relaxing break. Were definitely planning to return in May for our anniversary. Would recommend to anyone!

Our stay at Romesleigh Retreat was truly enjoyable! The hosts were so welcoming and gave great tips on dog-friendly beaches. The treats for our pup were a lovely touch. Were already planning our next visit-cant wait to return! Great place overall.

Overall, the place was pretty nice and spotless, especially for a dog-friendly spot. The only downsides were the smell from the hoover and the freezer not working properly, which was a bit annoying.

We had a really lovely stay. The lodge was spotless and peaceful, just what we needed. Plenty of charming villages nearby to explore and a short drive to keep busy. Perfect for unwinding away from the busy city.

We stayed in Apartment 4 and found it surprisingly spacious for just the two of us, which was a bonus. The place is modern and spotlessly clean, plus the bed was super comfy-definitely a good night's sleep! The views are truly stunning, especially during sunset, although we did struggle to find the Juliet balcony at first and the windows couldve done with a clean, which was a bit of a shame given the scenery. The listing mentioned a washing machine, but it wasnt there, though the site manager did warn us about this beforeh and. No microwave either, but once we mentioned it, one was quickly installed. We also had to ask for oven gloves, as there werent any provided. The location is perfect if youre after peace and quiet; its so remote, all we could hear were cows and a cockerel-lovely! Evening walks around the grounds were lovely and watching the sunset was a real highlight. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Wed definitely come back, maybe try one of the lodges next time!

Date of stay: 14th August 2020
We found the apartment just as it appeared in the photos when we booked. It was spotless and had all the essentials like an oven, hob, microwave, kettle and dishwasher. The only downside was the lack of Wi-Fi and weak signal, but honestly, that suited us since its perfect for a peaceful getaway. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Apartment 2 and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a quiet retreat!

Really enjoyed our stay, just a couple of small things like a bin and bath mat needed.

The place is pretty good, but its a bit pricey because of where its located. Travel costs add up!

Date of stay: 17th July 2020
We had a lovely time overall. Its been ages since we did self-catering, so that was a nice change. Only thing is, the bed really needs replacing - it was quite wobbly and squeaky, which was a bit annoying!

Charming place, would definitely return!

Date of stay: 13th July 2020
We chose this place mainly for the peace and quiet and it didnt disappoint. It was our first trip out after lockdown and it really helped us get back into the swing of things. The lodge itself was fantastic, fully stocked with all the extras you usually forget - honestly, it had everything! The hot tub was private and spot on, though the steps could use a bit more grip. Thats honestly the only tiny gripe we had. Would definitely recommend if youre after some proper quiet time!

Very helpful and easy

Date of stay: 6th March 2020
We found the settees a bit low and tricky to get up, which was a bit of a pain. Also, for a 4-person lodge, having only 6 of everything meant we were constantly washing dishes or leaving half the dishwasher empty - not great for saving energy, as my grandson would say! Maybe having 8 of each item would make life easier and more eco-friendly. Just a thought, really.
Emma, Pershore
Date of stay: 1st December 2019
Really enjoyed our visit, can't wait to return and stay longer next time!
