We had such a lovely stay at this cosy little spot. The location is really peaceful and private, yet the owners are super friendly and nearby if you need anything. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day of cycling - absolutely loved it! One thing to keep in mind is that the cottage is right under Stansted's flight path, so there's quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but if you're sensitive to noise, thats worth knowing. Overall, a great find!

We just got back from a cosy four-night stay at this cottage and honestly, we had a lovely time. The owners were really friendly but not clingy, which was perfect. Our dog loved the big fenced garden and the cottage had everything we needed - even a BBQ for a relaxed evening. The hot tub was fantastic! Were already telling friends about it and would definitely come back. Thanks for a great break!

We had a fantastic weekend at this place! It really ticked all our boxes and were already planning to come back. The garden was a hit with our dogs, especially with the underfloor heating which kept them cosy. Luna was wagging her tail so much she strained it-guess she really enjoyed herself! Definitely a great stay for us and the pups!

We stayed at this lovely place for a week in July with our two mini dachshunds and they loved it! The village of Thaxted is charming and it was fun watching the planes land since we're near Stansteds flight path. The cottage itself is really nice, especially the hot tub - perfect for cooling off during the hot weather. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel really welcome. It was great seeing their horses being taken to the fields each day. Overall, wed definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway!

We had such a lovely stay at this charming cottage! It really is a little gem - everything you could possibly need is provided, so no need to pack much. We were surprised at how well stocked it was and the welcome pack with all the info and menus was a nice touch. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was fantastic after a day out. Sharon and RobeRead were quick to reply if we had questions. Thanks for the wonderful break, well definitely be back!

We stayed at Goddard's Mead recently and were really impressed. Rob and Sharon have done a wonderful job transforming this historic building with such care. They were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home and Bonnie was lovely too. The location is perfect for exploring Essexs charming villages like Thaxted, which is worth wandering around. Honestly, its the ideal spot for a relaxing break and wed definitely recommend it!

We had a lovely stay at this place! The house was super cosy and warm, which was perfect given the rainy December weather. The bath was a real treat and the shower was big enough for a proper wash. Being near the flight path didnt bother us at all - honestly, you hardly notice. Plus, its ideal if youve got dogs that hate fireworks. Thanks a lot!

We booked the Willow Lodge during Storm Burt, so the weather was pretty dreadful. Thankfully, the place was spacious, modern and spotless. The hot tub was a real highlight-super clean and well-maintained. We appreciated the daily visits from staff to check everything was in order. Looking forward to coming back when the weathers better!

We stayed at a beautifully converted house that was surprisingly cosy and warm, perfect for a rainy December day. The bath was just fantastic and the shower was nice and spacious. The location is great, especially if your dogs dislike fireworks, since its quite remote. We werent bothered by the nearby flight path at all. Thanks for a lovely stay, wed definitely come back!
