Vale Of York » Malton

Malton Grange Country Park is located in a woodland, semi-rural location, however just a short distance from the bustling market town of Malton with its superb collection of shops, restaurants and bars.

There is an abundance of walks and cycle tracks from your front door so is also well suited to the outdoor enthusiasts.

The site is very well maintained and offers guests a high degree of privacy whilst in your lodge, some of the lodges have private bubbling hot tubs where you can relax after a day out exploring the local area.

The park is in easy distance to explore the beautiful east coast seaside towns and villages with Scarborough, Bridlington and Whitby all stacked with local history and charm.

You could perhaps head inland and explore the stunning city of York, where you can wander through the Shambles and visit the cathedral.

We stayed at the lodge recently and honestly, it was fantastic. The place was super spacious and felt really luxurious. The utility area was a lifesaver for drying our wet dog after walks and having a washing machine was a definite plus. The open-plan living, dining and kitchen space was huge with plenty of storage and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we could need. The main bedroom was a good size, with a dressing table, a separate wardrobe room and a lovely en-suite. Bedroom 2 had two single beds and lots of wardrobe space too. The main bathroom with the enclosed shower was quite stylish. We loved chilling outside on the patio with the hot tub-really well looked after. Wed definitely come back!

Overall, it was a decent stay. The rates were fair and the place felt like good value for what we paid.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The park is so peaceful, perfect for relaxing. There isnt much for kids on-site, but that wasnt a problem since we loved using the hot tub and there are loads of cute towns nearby to explore. The vacuum wasnt the best, but we understood its probably best not to trust a really fancy one. Overall, a lovely place for a quiet getaway. Would definitely come back!

The room was spotless, which we really appreciated. We just wish there had been mattress and pillow protectors; the mattress was a bit firm for our liking. The living space was beautifully decorated and very cosy.

The Smithy Arms served up a fantastic meal and the location near York was perfect for sightseeing. The only downside was the sofa-absolutely the most uncomfortable ever! Still, we had a great time.

Bluebell Lodge truly feels like a home away from home. The comfy sofas and divan beds are perfect for relaxing and every room has a TV. The hot tub is fantastic and the disco lights really add a fun touch. We loved every minute!

The lodge looked different from the pictures, but we still enjoyed our stay overall.

We had a lovely stay at the holiday park. The lodge was spacious and peaceful, perfect for relaxing. The Christmas decorations and tree were a nice touch, really put us in the festive spirit! A few minor issues like the window blinds, door handles and stained mattress cover could be sorted, but overall we enjoyed it a lot.

The place was super easy to find and the facilities were top-notch. We did hit a snag during our departure with a power cut and since it was Christmas, the emergency line was unreachable. Still, overall, it didnt ruin our trip at all!

We stayed as a family of five adults and overall had a nice weekend at Lazy Bear Lodge. The beds were comfy, which was great, though the single room felt a little cramped for an adult. Its handy that theres free WiFi and a smart TV to log into Netflix. Yorks about a 35-minute drive, so not too far.

The en-suite bed was quite low and tricky to get into, plus no iron or ironing board. On the bright side, the hot tub was just perfect! Wi-fi was pretty patchy though.

Our stay in Green 5 was quite pleasant, even though it didnt match the lodge picture. The bedrooms were a bit cosy, but the bed was comfy. Some of the equipment looked a bit worn, but overall, it was a nice place.

Looking forward to visiting again

It was perfect for us as a family-lots to do when we wanted, yet peaceful enough to relax. Exactly what we needed! Good value too.
Sarah
The cottage was absolutely lovely, with a cosy log burner and a relaxing hot tub. The hosts were so welcoming, made us feel right at home. We can't wait to come back for a longer stay soon!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was perfectly equipped and super cosy, especially on that rainy December day. The bath was just lovely and the shower was great too. Being near the flight path didn't bother us at all, which was a relief. Perfect spot for dogs who dislike fireworks - totally peaceful. Beautifully converted property, really enjoyed our time there! Thanks so much!
James
We had an amazing weekend here! The place was just what we needed and were already planning to return. Our dogs had a blast too - especially with the underfloor heating, which they loved. The garden was perfect for them to play in. Luna even wagged her tail so much she hurt it, but shes fine now. Happy pups, happy us!
Oliver
The cottage was really charming and perfect for what we wanted. The location was peaceful, far from busy areas. The hot tub was a lovely bonus! Owners were super helpful without being overbearing. They've got it just right.
Emma
We really enjoyed our stay at Goddard's Mead. Rob and Sharon have done an amazing job transforming this historic building with such care. They made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived and Bonnie was lovely too! The location is perfect for exploring Essex - we took some time to wander around Thaxted and other nearby villages, which are full of charm and history. Definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway!
Rajesh
We absolutely loved our stay here! The place is tucked away in a lovely, private spot which felt really peaceful. The owners were super friendly and always there if we needed anything, but it still kept that nice sense of seclusion. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day of cycling - so relaxing. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that the cottage is directly under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but worth noting if noise bothers you. Overall, a great find!
James
We had a really lovely time at this cosy cottage. Its set on a working farm but feels very private and peaceful. Robert and Sharon are absolutely lovely hosts, making us feel right at home. The place itself is surprisingly spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that made for great sleeps. The gardens perfect for dogs, totally secluded and with nice furniture to relax on. There are lots of walks nearby and Thaxteds eateries like The Star and The Maypole are worth checking out. Wed definitely recommend it!
Emma
We had a great stay! The owners were so welcoming and really helpful when the power went out during the storm. The cottage was spotless, warm and well-stocked. Our dog loved the secure garden and the hot tub was a real treat!
Emily Carter
Really loved our stay here! The place is super peaceful and Sharon and Robert really go the extra mile to make sure youre comfy. Its our second time and were already planning to come back again soon!
Emma
We absolutely loved this cottage! The peaceful setting was perfect for unwinding and the hot tub was a real highlight. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. Plenty of scenic walks nearby and the village was charming. Highly recommend it!
Emma
We loved this cosy cottage nestled in the countryside. The courtyard with its slate paving was charming and the hot tub made it feel extra special. Perfect for peaceful walks nearby!
