The place had some decent ideas, but it really needs more storage options - maybe hooks for coats? The settee wasnt very comfy either, but honestly, it didnt ruin the break. Wed come back for sure!

We had a lovely stay at this lodge. The private hot tub was fantastic, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the area. The location is really nice and the customer service was top-notch, especially that surprise treat basket on arrival! Only thing missing was a thermostat, but adjusting the boiler worked fine. Definitely a great weekend spot!

We had a fantastic stay at this cosy cottage! The place was spotless and so well stocked, it really felt like a home away from home. The dog walks right outside were perfect for our pups and meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was such a treat. The host was lovely, super helpful and quick to reply. Were definitely coming back, great value for money!

We spent a week here in mid-July with our two tiny dachshunds and honestly, the dogs loved it! They made loads of new friends in the charming village of Thaxted. The cottage itself is really lovely and the hot tub was a real highlight-especially with the crazy heatwave, cooling down in it was perfect. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel right at home. It was nice to see their horses being taken out to the fields daily. Sure, it's near Stansteds flight path, but honestly, watching the planes land was pretty cool. Would definitely recommend!

We really wish there was a canopy or umbrella over the hottub. The rain was relentless and made it impossible to enjoy it most of the weekend. Just a bit of overhead cover would have totally changed the experience for us!

We had a fantastic time in the Safari tent! The hot tub was a real highlight and the quirky decor added charm. Only wish it was nearer the coast. Overall, brilliant stay!

Lovely lodge, everything we needed was there. Hot tub was well kept. Perfect chillout spot!
Emma, Lichfield
Date of stay: 2nd October 2024
We stayed in a safari tent thinking it would be pretty basic, but honestly, it felt more like a cosy lodge under canvas. Theres plenty of space inside, comfy beds including a four-poster and a really nice big bathroom. Id rate it a 9 because it couldve used some extra bits like a frying pan or some basic kitchenware, but overall, it was spot on. The hot tub was a real highlight too! Our pitch was at the edge of the site, so we didnt explore much further, but the maintenance guy was super friendly and gave us great tips on where to eat-definitely recommend!
Imogen, Aberdare
Date of stay: 25th September 2024
We arrived at the lodge and were immediately impressed by how modern and spotless everything was. It felt really welcoming and the little snacks hamper was a lovely touch - the kids loved it! The place was well-equipped, with a handy leaflet listing local eateries and grocery spots. The beds were incredibly comfy, especially the master bedroom, which was really spacious. Big shoutout to Sharon and Sheren for keeping everything spotless - your hard work definitely doesnt go unnoticed. We had a fantastic stay!

Really enjoyed our stay, the cottage had everything needed!
Emily, Gb
Date of stay: 21st August 2024
We really enjoyed our stay. The tent was super cosy and kept warm with all the appliances provided. One thing to mention is that one of the beds is up a ladder, so it might be good to highlight that when advertising. Also, drying towels was a bit tricky without a rail, so adding one could help. But honestly, these are small things - overall, it was great and wed definitely come back!
Alex, Merseyside
Date of stay: 20th August 2024
The lodge was pretty well kitted out, though theres some wear and tear, which is understandable. It didnt spoil the stay at all. Staff were lovely and always checking the hot tub daily. Weve already booked again for next year!

Date of stay: 19th July 2024
We had such a lovely stay at the cottage! The location is perfect-serene, peaceful and surrounded by stunning farml and. We even got to see the horses which was a lovely touch. The owners were super friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. Definitely a spot well return to!
Emma, Burscough
Date of stay: 12th July 2024
Overall, its quite a nice place, but a few little touches would make a big difference. Washing up gloves, some shelves and hooks would really improve things. The bedrooms a bit tight for dressing, but the bathrooms spacious enough.
Emma
Date of stay: 30th June 2024
The house was stunning, super tidy and really well kitted out. We had such a lovely stay, hot tub was fantastic!
Amelia, Manchester
Date of stay: 9th June 2024
We stayed in the Oak tree lodge and honestly, it was a lovely little spot. Inside, it felt really cosy and perfect for a relaxed weekend. The hot tub was a nice touch, though we were a bit disappointed it wasnt as private as wed hoped. The pictures you see online are a bit misleading; the lodge we arrived at looked different outside from the photos, which threw us off a little. Still, the lodge itself was great, so it didnt ruin our stay. Overall, we had an amazing time and the scenery around is absolutely stunning. Wed definitely recommend it for a peaceful getaway.
