We had such a lovely stay. The owners are genuinely warm and thoughtful, making everything feel easy and welcoming. The cottages charm really stood out - a beautiful half-timbered place with a powerful shower, a cosy kitchen and lounge area and a super comfy bed. Parking right outside was a real bonus. Its well heated, spotless and perfect for exploring the nearby fields and the charming village of Thaxted, just a short drive away. Wed definitely come back!

We had a really lovely stay at this cottage. Its tucked away on a working farm but feels very private and peaceful. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are super friendly and welcoming. The place itself is spacious, with a well-stocked kitchen and a comfy bed that we didnt want to leave! The gardens perfect for dogs, fully enclosed and furnished nicely. Plenty of walks nearby and Thaxteds got some cracking restaurants-The Star and The Maypole are favourites, while The Swan and Indian are decent too. Wed definitely recommend it.

We had such a lovely stay! The cottage was spotlessly clean and really well equipped, making our trip super relaxing. The dog walks right outside were a big bonus and we loved meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the curious pig. The host was friendly and responsive. Definitely coming back, great value for money!

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy cottage! Honestly, we didnt need to bring a thing because its so well stocked - I even overloaded the car trying to fit everything. The welcome pack was super helpful, with all the info and menus we needed. The owners, Sharon and Rob, were quick to respond if we had any questions. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was just perfect after a day out. Thanks for a great break - well definitely be back!

We just got back from a lovely week at Goddards Mead. The cottage had everything we could possibly need, super well equipped. The hosts were so warm and friendly and even on a working farm, it felt like a peaceful retreat. We loved it!

We had a lovely stay at this charming place tucked away in a peaceful spot. The owners were super friendly and always happy to help without intruding, which we really appreciated. The hot tub was a real highlight after cycling all day! Just a heads up, the cottage is under Stansteds flight path, so there's quite a bit of aircraft noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but it didnt ruin our trip. Overall, a great little getaway if you dont mind the occasional noise.

We had a wonderful stay at this cosy little spot tucked away in a lovely, secluded area. The owners were super friendly and always ready to help if needed, but they respected our privacy completely. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day of cycling - absolute bliss! A heads up though, the cottage is quite close to Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us after a while, but if you're sensitive to noise, its worth knowing. Overall, a great find!

We just got back from a fantastic four-night stay at this cottage. The owners are really friendly and super helpful, but they dont hover, which was perfect. Our dog loved the big fenced garden and the place had everything we could ask for. The hot tub was a real highlight and we even enjoyed a BBQ one evening. From the moment we arrived, Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel really welcome. They've done a fantastic job restoring this historic building with so much care. The place itself is super comfy and perfect for relaxing. We loved exploring the charming villages nearby, especially Thaxted, with its lovely old buildings and rich history. Honestly, Goddard's Mead is a good place in Essex and wed definitely stay again!
