Lovely place to stay really comfy, robes and towels provided which was great for a weeks stay! Hot tub was perfect and was clean and tested regularly within that week. Storage limited but made it work and made more space for relaxing. Could have done with a dust pan got a brush but no dust in an again made it work. Upstairs was great space for my 3 boys but does get warm up there. Shower and bathroom area lovely an clean on arrival

I loved our stay at the black barn - the mezzanine bedroom added a really quirky feature which the kids enjoyed. We enjoyed several activities, and closeness to Shrewsbury which is great for a wander round.

Laurel lodge was a well kept and lovely area. We stayed in cantaloup which was one of the caravans in this area.In the middle of the area was a communal sauna which I didn't use.The caravan was comfortable and well kept. Only complaint was the lovely king size bed which had a very springy mattress, not giving us a very good night's sleep. The hot tub was checked daily and it was a great temperature, star gazing from the hot tub was amazing. There was a nice fire pit perfect for roasting marshmallows and everything was well kept.

We had such a lovely stay at this good place! The location is super private and beautiful, perfect for relaxing. The owners were really friendly and always there if we needed anything, but they respected our privacy completely. The hot tub was a real treat after long days out cycling. Only thing to note is that the cottage is quite close to Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didnt ruin our holiday at all. Wed definitely go back!

We had a lovely stay overall. The lodge was really nice, though having to use the sofa bed was a bit of a pain. The hot tub was spotless and well looked after, with tests done twice daily - definitely a plus! The only downside was the lack of drying space for all the wet towels from the kids and hot tub, but we found a laundry room upstairs eventually. The staff at reception were fantastic, making our four-night break even better!

We spent a week here from 15th to 22nd July with our two little dachshunds and they absolutely loved it! They made some furry friends in the village of Thaxted, which was adorable to see. The cottage itself is lovely, especially the hot tub - perfect for the hot weather, as it was cooled down and super refreshing. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming; it was nice to see them taking their dogs out to the fields every day. Plus, watching the planes land near Stansted was quite interesting! Wed definitely recommend this place, its a gem.

What a lovely find! The cottage, nestled on a working farm, offers plenty of privacy, which we really appreciated. Robert and Sharon, the hosts, are genuinely charming and friendly. The place itself is super spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that made our stay even better. The gardens perfect for dogs and has nice furniture to relax on. Plenty of scenic walks nearby and some cracking restaurants in Thaxted-The Star and The Maypole are favourites of ours. Wed definitely recommend it!

The cottage was really cosy and perfect for a peaceful escape. Just a heads-up, youll hear planes mostly at night since its close to Stanstead. The hot tub, though, is fantastic!

We had a fantastic weekend here! The place really ticked all the boxes for us and well definitely return. Our dogs couldnt get enough of the underfloor heating and the garden - Luna was wagging her tail so much she strained it! Honestly, happy pups, happy us. Such a lovely spot, highly recommend for a cosy getaway!

We just got back from a four-night stay at this cottage and honestly, we loved it. The owners are really friendly but never intrusive, which was perfect. The garden is huge and fully fenced, so our dog could run around freely-such a relief! The place had everything we needed, including a BBQ one evening. The hot tub was fantastic! Were already planning to come back and have told our friends about it. Thanks for a great stay!
