One of the best breaks we have had! Me and my partner stay here Thurs-Monday and it was absolutely amazing! The lodge was huge and lovely! We had a meal at the restaurant on sit Frid night and the food was perfect and the staff were so helpful and friendly could not fault anything one bit! We hope to return again sometime 100%.

Had a really nice time away.
The lodge had everything we needed. It was clean, spacious, the hot tub was nice and relaxing.
There was a complimentry bottle of prosecco which was a nice touch.
A very quiet site, great for relaxing and unwinding.
James, Dalgety Bay
Date of stay: 22nd June 2018
A large lodge well appointed. The bedrooms and lounge area were very comfortable, with everything you could need. The shower on suite was a little bit tired and probably could do with an upgrade, although work ok and perfectly clean. A superb TV in the lounge but not sure why it was fitted so high up on the wall as you needed to sit far back to prevent a stiff neck. Overall it was a very comfortable lodge.
Paul, Manchester
Date of stay: 2nd April 2018

Clean and spacious. The central heating turns of after a period of time and so has to be turned back on, if too cold during winter time.

Date of stay: 29th October 2017
Lovely lodge. Well maintained and clean and comfortable.

Hot tub controls were locked, so water temperature couldn't be adjusted. This meant the water temperature was actually too cold, particularly for the time of year.

Date of stay: 24th June 2017
The only issue we had was the power went off one evening at 10:30 and we were unable to contact anyone via the intercom system till the next morning
Date of stay: 29th May 2017
This is certainly a premier lodge, my husband said it was the best we'd ever stayed in and we've been in a few. On closure inspection there were a few cobwebs which should have been removed by the housekeeping team, but these didn't distract from the overall feeling. Kitchen was well equipped, lounge comfortable, bedroom large and ensuite shower powerful and warm. Even able to switch on shower from side of bed, no risk of a cold shower! Hot tub was powerful and warm, but not hot. Was fine for two, but feel if four people staying, it would be difficult to sit outside together, two separate first floor balconies, both fine for two, not sure four would fit. The hot tub area had a window to the garage, which surprisingly is used by the cleaning staff to charge the golf buggies they use to move around site, we didn't see them, but could happen if you are in hot tub when they move buggies. Hire bikes were also stored in garage, which worried us, so left car out on drive, ok in Summer, but not so good if weather bad. Don't let this put you off going, still enjoyed.

Date of stay: 24th April 2017
As stated above a very clean and quiet park.
Julie, Manchester
Date of stay: 3rd April 2017
The lodge was extremely clean, with all facilities as advertised. I was concerned about the cleanliness as it was 'dog friendly' but needn't have worried as the lodge was immaculate & 'no doggy smells'. The site was also lovely & very well maintained.

I had read reviews about being too many 'rules & regs' on site, but they were pretty standard common sense rules which I would expect any site to have. I was also made fully aware of arrival times, no vans etc before I went, so no surprises.

Hot tub was clean & private, the site was very quiet. The only slight thing is that there aren't really any pubs/restaurants in easy walking distance, so car or taxi is needed in the evening unless you go to restaurant on site.
Tracy, Llandudno Junction

Date of stay: 16th December 2016
Chestnut lodge was very nice, clean and well appointed, it was mid December when we stayed and there and when we arrived in the dark the fire was on for us and a Christmas tree with the lights on was a lovely touch, we had flowers and wine awaiting us too, the hot tub was a delight and checked every day very discreetly by someone for cleanliness which is reassuring.
The bed was comfortable and the en suite shower was roomy and powerful, the leather reclining furniture was like home from home.
Matthew, Rochdale

Date of stay: 31st October 2016
The lodge was great with the addition of the private hot tub. Place settings were limited within the kitchen but was just right for our party of three. Fixtures and and fitting were of a good standard and comfortable, all areas were clean and pleasant. Parking for one car right next to the front door, great outlook to the lake with it's ducks.

Date of stay: 12th February 2016
Wrekin Lodge was lovely.Only criticism I've got is that as part of their Autograph Range we have the use of towelling robes for the hot tub. However, on arrival at Beaconsfield Park,we found that we had to hire them. Beaconsfield staff were very helpful tho and did look into the matter for us.
Emma, Birmingham/bromsgrove
Date of stay: 8th February 2016
Really lovely quiet place to stay that is more than relaxing, very clean and tidy upon arrival, great help from staff helping me to find the location of the site in the dark, and help to use the awesome hot tub that was perfect and right on the door step of the lodge. There was a lovely bottle of wine left for us, milk in the fridge and clean towels and toiletries on the bed waiting for us. It was more than comfortable! The restaurant food was beautiful and the staff were lovely too, a chap we met in the steam room raved about the food and he was right after spending years coming to the site. Nice country walks on hand and nice little local pubs in walking distance too, will defiantly look to stay again.

Date of stay: 17th August 2015
The privacy screen around the hot tub could be massively improved and the "Rules" stating no use of the Hot Tub after dusk meant the highlight of our stay was very much affected. We mentioned this on leaving only to discover it is advisory only! Wish we'd known that on arrival. Otherwise good.
Joe, Manchester

Lodge was great very tidy and really comfy beds . Made you feel at home straight away . Only downside is the hot tub situated where it is . No access straight off the lodge . You have to walk through lodge wet to get changed . But not a big deal overall . Very pleased .

Date of stay: 17th November 2014
Lodge gave the WOW factor upon arrival and was very clean and comfortable. Location of our lodge (No 18) did back onto the main highway and you could hear the noise at night with the windows open which did disturb our sleep.Rule on None usage of the hottub after dusk spoilt the excitement of having access to the private hottub.

Date of stay: 18th August 2014
the accomodation was good and to a high standard, however, the jaccuzi was dirty, and there were far too many restrictions, such as not being able to go into it in the evening, which is when you would really like to go into it, also was not happy having to strip off the beds, we had paid for this in our cleaning bill when we paid, overall a nice place, no kids, would come back maybe if they had a really good deal and a clean jacuzzi
Jamie, Penzance

Good location for exploring Shropshire/Iron Bridge. Staff friendly. Caravan in very good condition. Slightly basic in entertainment or maybe we didn't fully explore everything (just the 4 days), but it is listed as "quiet". Might not for be suitable for those with adventurous kids.

The lodge was comfortable, warm and pleasantly situated with space between units and trees and shrubs to add to privacy. There was little light pollution , but noise from the busy road passing nearbye.
We appreciated the fresh flowers and bottle of wine on arrival, a nice touch. ( included in price!)
Marian, Southport

we had a very relaxed weekend just what we needed. the Wrekin premier lodge was more than we expected, all the staff could not have done more they are very helpful, the park is well kept and well run , we will be going back very soon .
Terry, Rossendale
Date of stay: 31st March 2014
Wrekin lodge was excellent. Never been to a lodge with an upstairs before and its put me off standard single storey units.
Loads of space for 4/only downside was a well worn settee and creaking shower pipes in the 2 nd bedroom
Date of stay: 22nd March 2014
Beaconsfield Park is a very peaceful and beautifully kept place to take a break, with superbly specified and spotlessly clean accommodation. We had a wonderful week based there, with easy access to a large number of National Trust properties including the fabulous Attingham Park only minutes away. The Sparrow's Cafe just up the road at the Battle 1403 site serves an excellent Farm Shop cooked breakfast for very reasonable prices too! We went to a great concert at Theatre Severn in Shrewsbury during our stay (a superb venue) and found the whole area to have plenty to explore. A great week away!
Date of stay: 7th February 2014
Two story lodge, lots of space - perfect!

Date of stay: 2nd December 2013
This was a small adult only break away for my husbands 40th birthday and it was everything we wanted it to be and more! The lodge was beautiful, clean and homely with the added bonus of a fantastic hot tub and free bottle of wine! We will defiantly be returning in the near future.
Frederic, Buxton
Date of stay: 22nd November 2013
Great lodge - absolutley luxurious but - heating not so good. Really felt cold sometimes. Nowhere to put wet coats and shoes on entering lodge - needs a 'lobby' area. If using hot tub difficult to enter lodge living area in wet swim suits. Needs larger floor towels.
Otherwise a great lodge.
Excellent quiet adult only location. Perfect lodge.
Great location and great facilities as well, wonderful airrival welcoming but the price can be a reduced a bit due to the fact there isn’t many attraction on site
We both enjoyed this park, staff very friendly and helpful, accommodation was spotless, wanted to stay longer, we will be back and can recommend 10/10
We had a lovely weekend at Beaconsfield the staff went above a beyond when our dishwasher broke
It is a lovely place, log cabin was clean and very warm. Hot tub was great and warm. Very relaxing place , with ducks in the pond. The restaurant was not open , which was a disappointing.
If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and have time out this is the place. We stayed in cabin with direct view to the lake, which was a beautiful scenery to view whilst sitting out on the balcony. Cleaness and layout of cabin was good value for money, will definately be booking again. Only advice, if planning to dine at local pub reserve table in advance. The hot tub is in a secluded location not how it looks in brochure but however clean and private experience (dressing gowns not provided).
Very well layed out cabin has everything you need hot tub was the highlight for us. We would defiantly stay again.

Out of all of the Go Ape! courses the one in Cheshire is the most spread out and it takes staff ten minutes to patrol the site on bike - which gives a good indication of the size of this place.  If you're looking for an adventurous and memorable day out then Go Ape is highly recommended.  Trek through the treetops, swing between the trees and enjoy zip wire rides all as part of your experience.  This attraction opens every day from the end of March to end October and is open on weekends in November.  Go Ape Cheshire is closed every Tuesday except school holidays.
