Loch Awe Holiday Park

Situated just 14 miles from Oban, Loch Awe Holiday Park is ideally located for exploring the many delights this picturesque area has to offer. Glencoe, Fort William, Inverary and the Mull of Kintyre are all within easy reach and make great days out while taking in the breathtaking scenery. For those looking for an energetic day out there are various opportunities for climbing golf and pony trekking if you're looking for a more relaxing break there are numerous walks river and sea fishing.

The caravans at the park offer a comfortable retreat after a busy day.  The Loch Awe Caravan sleeps 6 and is a spacious 12ft wide home with one double and two twin bedrooms. There is also a charming verandah with patio furniture so you can enjoy sitting outdoors and making the most of the views. We think this caravan is amazing value for money.  The Loch Awe Caravan 2 is suitable for couples and small families as it sleeps 4.  Again this is a new caravan from 2009 and offers plenty of space for families.

Really enjoyed week away . Lodges just to near main road . If you stand on stairs going into hot tub everyone on main road and garage could see you, but not when in it. Plus we sleep with window open at night and not pieceful just sound of traffic all the time . Unfortunately cause lodge was lovely and staff and everyone so nice. Sorry no photos as on husbands camera not my phone .

Stayed for Christmas 2017 for 10 days, Absolutely amazing time.. Kids loved it, Holiday park was brilliant, Games room, Laundry area, Kids play ground. Caravan was pristine and surroundings are unreal. You must go to the restaurant 100 yards up the road as the food is fantastic. The site Manager was brilliant also even tried to down load a game onto my boys PS4 just not enough internet. Would highly recommend staying here.

I booked a premier van to ensure we got a newish van with central heating so were warm with it being October. The van was lovely and very comfortable although we were disappointed to find very bad stains on the upholstery in the main living area and both toilet seats were very loose. I have reflected that in my feedback otherwise I would have rated 10. That being said the rest of the van was exceptionally clean and not a disappointment.
I did mention to the staff and they assured me that they were aware of the stains and this would addressed in the near future and they would fix the toilet seats. The member of staff was very polite and even allowed us a late check out given that they had no booking for that day. Great service! One small thing was the location of the van as it looked out onto the back of the house again this was disappointing as this site has a nice outlook but again I was advised that this will be addressed shortly when they move the premier vans.
I wouldnt let these things put me off returning!

Dropped a point for cleanliness as a couple of cobwebs but could quite easily have developed after cleaned. Love that you get a little kitchen pack.
Perhaps hand soap in toilet?

Date of stay: 29th May 2015
Modern stylish caravan, best I've stayed in. The only reason I gave it an 8 is that it hadn't been vacuumed very well (popcorn down sofa cushions) and I could feel the springs in the bed mattress. Apart from that, I really can't complain! Such a modern caravan, lovely setting, lovely staff members. Would recommend.
Linda, Penicuik
Date of stay: 23rd May 2015
Lovely spacious caravan fully central heated with decking for use in nice days
Jill, Wrexham
Date of stay: 23rd May 2015
The caravan was excellent , beautifully heated and very clean. As it was new, the kitchen contents were rather minimal.
Unfortunately, the shower was leaking and could not be used. As mentioned above, I found information on how to contact staff difficult to find. This did not spoil my enjoyment!

The only thing missing in this lodge was towels. remember to bring your own.
Catherine, Bournemouth
Date of stay: 16th May 2015
The caravan was new or only recently sited, and as such was in excellent condition.
In May with cold and wet conditions the central heating was a boon. The double bed was a bit too soft for us.

Date of stay: 25th August 2014
Really clean and tidy site. Nice quiet, but grand children disappointed that wifi was unavailable for our stay, although it was advertised as being so. Only complaint I have is charge made for electricity on top of rental charge, why not have it all included? Would recommend site if you want a quite place to stay and like to go off and explore area.

Date of stay: 4th July 2014
Lovely place; I was pleasently surprised to find a wee games room for the boys. The pool cost money though so we needed to keep getting change and they were restricted by it. The accomodation was excellent though and there was a good shop.
Donald, Mansfield Notts.

Date of stay: 16th June 2014
The park was peaceful, a nice location. The caravan was comfortable with plenty of space. £5 per day electricity charge is very steep especially as we were out all day so only used the kettle and some hot water. Take everything with you, even down to dish cloths and tea towel as none supplied. There was no "welcome" tray for our arrival - no tea/coffee milk and biscuits as we have come to expect over the years from other holiday rentals
Mark, Northants
Date of stay: 23rd May 2014
Lovely location, very quite. Lovely new caravan
Janet, East Kilbride
Date of stay: 18th April 2014
Was lovely caravan, comfortable and clean. The utensils where very good ( more then expected ). The views from caravan park where stunning.
The swing park was good for our grandchildren, although the snooker and table tennis room could be doing with an upgrade.
We would certainly go back and recommend it to other people.
Angela
Lovely relaxing break with my little boy ,caravan was lovely and had the warmest welcome from reception staff when we arrived
Mario
Cabin was lovely and comfortable. It felt homely and the couch was amazing! Cabin was clean and the best part was it brand new. Would love to know where the couch came from?
Kerriann
deFabulous caravan park, very tranquil and only a 15 minute drive to Oban. We were given a brand new caravan for the week. People who run the park were very friendly and available at all times. Definitely will be returning to this site.
Helena
We had a lovely relaxing week, only reason I couldn’t give a 10 across the board was there was no kettle when we arrived and we can’t survive without coffee! And the decking was just a sheet of ice. The staff however did rectify both very promptly.
Chris
Family of 4 with two teenagers. This is a great location to use as a base to explore the highlands. The caravan was the perfect size 4 berth and very clean. The park has a pool table and table tennis so well suited for teenagers. Great restaurant next door 10 mins walk and there is fishing a couple of miles up the road. The couple who run the park are very helpful and sorted a mechanical problem with the shower very quickly. Highly recommend this park.
Isabelle
All in all we had a great holiday. A great place to stay will loads to do nearby. I will definitely return and look forward to see Argyle Holidays make improvements to the site.
