We had a lovely stay at this cottage, tucked away on a working farm but still very private. Robert and Sharon were genuinely charming hosts, making us feel welcomed from the start. The place itself is really spacious and the kitchen and bathroom are well-equipped - made cooking and relaxing easy. The bed was super comfy and the garden, which is dog-proof and private, has nice furniture for lounging. Plenty of walks nearby and Thaxteds restaurants like The Star and The Maypole are worth a visit. Wed definitely recommend it!

We had an absolutely lovely stay! The owners are genuinely warm and helpful, making us feel right at home. The cottages charm is undeniable, with its cosy vibe and spotless cleanliness. The shower is surprisingly powerful, which was a nice surprise and the comfy bed had us sleeping like logs. Parking was a breeze right outside and we enjoyed peaceful walks across fields to Thaxted. Definitely recommend if you're after a relaxing escape!

The place itself is adorable - a charming half-timbered cottage with a really strong shower and a cosy kitchen and living area. The bed was super comfy and parking right next to the cottage was such a bonus. It's well heated, spotless and perfect for walks in the fields to Thaxted. Definitely recommended!

The place was spotless, comfy and safe for our dog Archie - he loved it! The location was perfect, with loads of nice walks and charming villages like Thaxted nearby. We really enjoyed our stay here! The location is stunning and super private, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The owners are genuinely friendly and helpful without being intrusive, which we appreciated. The hot tub was a real highlight after cycling all day-so relaxing! One thing to keep in mind, though, is that the cottage is right under Stansted's flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but if you're sensitive to noise, its worth noting. Overall, wed definitely recommend it!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was super well equipped and kept us really warm, which was perfect with all the rain in December. The bath was lovely and the shower was big enough to relax in. Being near the flight path didnt bother us at all, so dont worry about that. Perfect spot for dogs scared of fireworks - totally in the middle of nowhere. Thanks a bunch!
