Henfields Country Retreat

We had a fantastic stay! The house was spotless, super comfy, well stocked and the hot tub was brilliant!

We had a lovely autumn weekend away here. The place was really well-kept and the welcome basket was a nice touch. The hot tub was a definite highlight - nothing beats watching the sunrise or stars from it. Its in a private spot, which made it feel even more special and the staff checked in twice a day to make sure everything was perfect. They were genuinely helpful and knew lots about the area, giving us some top tips for dining and sights. It was so relaxing and romantic, weve already booked for next year. Cant wait to come back!

Really enjoyed the stay

We had a warm welcome and appreciated the thoughtful welcome pack. The place was spotless throughout, which was lovely. The master bedroom was quite spacious, though the second one felt a bit cosy. The step between the kitchen and lounge could be tricky, especially with elderly guests, but lighting helps. The kitchen and breakfast bar are fantastic for gatherings!

Absolutely loved our stay! The lodge looks even better in person and those adorable baby rabbits in the garden made our mornings extra special. The hot tub was a real treat!

Honestly, this was one of the best holidays we've ever had! The lodge is huge and really sunny-perfect for relaxing. We spent most afternoons in the hot tub outside, enjoying the fresh air and some good food al fresco. The location is spot on, close enough to supermarkets for self-catering but also within walking distance to some lovely pubs if you fancy a night out. Wayne and Nicky were super helpful throughout. Were already planning to come back!

Henfields is a lovely place to unwind, with stunning lodges and friendly, attentive staff. Honestly, I couldnt find any downsides to our stay at all.

We had a lovely stay at the lodge, really modern and super relaxing with that spa bath. Everything we needed was there-kitchen, bedrooms, open-plan dining. The best part? The complimentary tray with local goodies was such a thoughtful touch. Definitely recommend!

We honestly had a great stay here. The lodge was spotless and really well-equipped, with some lovely features. Only a tiny maintenance hiccup, but it was sorted out quickly and professionally. Definitely one of our favourites!

Honestly, we had an amazing time! The lodge was stunning, really beautifully decorated and super well equipped - the walk-in wardrobe was a nice touch. The hot tub was pure luxury and the outside space felt so private and spacious, perfect for relaxing. Loved the sun loungers and barbecue st and, made it feel extra special. Plenty of towels, robes and slippers too. Definitely would return without a doubt - highly recommend this place!

We stayed at this modern lodge recently and honestly, it was quite lovely. The place was spotless and well-kept, with everything youd need for cooking - though a second medium frying pan would've been handy! The hot tub was always pristine, maintained twice daily, which was a nice touch. The staff were genuinely friendly and quick to help with any questions we had. We didnt find many walking or cycling routes nearby, so if you're into relaxing, this spot is perfect. The only small gripe was the water pressure-when one tap was on, it affected another, but it wasnt a huge problem for our short stay. Overall, wed definitely recommend it!

Lodge was really clean and has great facilities - hot tub, smart tvs in each room, washing machine and dryer. Wayne the manager welcomed us and showed us around our lodge. Views are beautiful and its so peaceful. Will definitely be coming back!

On arrival Wayne was extremely helpful and informative. The lodge was spotless and even smelt clean. It was equipped with pretty much everything you could need and was presented immaculately. If I was being hyper critical I would say that the sofa's could be more comfortable and that one more side table to rest your drink on would be a good idea. Again being hyper critical, the loungers could be more comfortable, maybe some pads would solve the issue. All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend Henfields. We'll be back, that's for sure.

Superb place

Lovely friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble. Surrounding are fab, with lots of wildlife and a 10 minute walk into the local village

Excellent lodge

First stay Henfields Country Retreat and was really impressed. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. The hot tub was ideal and the surroundings were lovely and peaceful.

We stayed in the door mouse pod, it was beautifully tucked away within a tree area and very peaceful. Ideal for us as a couple and our dog. Hot tub very relaxing. All in all a lovely place and very clean

We had a fabulous time at Henfields Country Retreat. We stayed in the Rabbit Warren which had everything we needed and was very clean. The Lodge had it's only little secluded garden, which was lovely for relaxing. The lodge was a ten minute walk to the local village where you could go to the local pub for a drink or a meal. Also, we tried the local Indian Restaurant which provided good food. We will definitely book again as there was lots to do in the area and we could not fit it all in, therefore still plenty to do on our next visit. The owners where very helpful and made sure we were happy.

A very neat and tidy lodge and we could not fault it. It was one of the better lodges we have stayed in with plenty of room. The outside decking was roomy with a hot tub and they had also made a space where you could place a disposable bbq if you wanted one. We were greeted by the owners who showed us the lodge and explained where everything was.
There was also a lovely welcoming pack that was a nice touch.

Excellent and very private. Near to plenty of places to visit.
