One of the best places we have stayed. The owner was very welcoming and very helpful. We enjoyed the welcome pack of crackers, cakes, cheese, butter, milk and especially the bottle of wine. We are looking to book again for next year. If you want some peace and quiet with beautiful surroundings then I definitely recommend the retreat or the hideaway

A perfect retreat, either for couples or families as the field is so big to play in and kite fly.

Date of stay: 8th January 2018
Our only issue was trying to avoid treading mud in on the light coloured carpet which the door opens on to, especially when pouring with rain. Suggest laying a wood/tiled area or adding a porch

I ve put a 9 for cleanliness as some of the crockery in the cupboards was dirty, this was most probably due to previous occupants

Date of stay: 17th October 2016
The only things that let it down were the very steep stairs entering the lodge, and the parking was at the back of the lodge, so if you had heavy bags, it was a struggle. We know that it is a working farm, but the track to the lodge was awful.
But the view did make up for it. The lodge was comfortable, and had shelf space in the ensuite to store toiletries, which is uncommon, but to me means I can tidy things away. We hope we can return.

Date of stay: 2nd September 2016
First class accommodation. These are very well appointed with proper fixtures and fittings and a step up from the caravan site type lodge. In a lovely location that is very quiet location with a great view over Glastonbury Tor with the evening sun setting over the patio/deck side of the Lodge. A great bonus is having wi-fi in the lodge although EE and 02 give good mobile coverage.
We also liked the light touch from the lodge manager (some places we've been feel like your being kept an eye on ) who was easily contactable by mobile phone and was impressed by the communication before the holiday receiving a letter to introduce Burcott Retreats and give detailed instructions for finding them and a contact number etc.
I should also mention the fantastic welcome pack we received which included useful basics such as tea, coffee, bread, butter, cheese and milk (brilliant if your a late arrival) and also a bottle of wine.
A real top draw holiday experience.

A beautiful lodge with amazing views. The lodge was of a high standard with everything needed for a stress free relaxing stay. The pictures of the surrounding area do not do it justice. The owner Claire couldn't have been more helpful. I will definitely be returning.

Date of stay: 22nd August 2016
beautiful lodge with top quality fittings and all the mod cons - wifi, dishwasher, washing machine, tv/dvd. immaculately clean and amazing views. parking outside lodge
The property was tip top . Warm and cozy with great kitchen, comfy beds, and amazing views. A delicious and plentiful welcome package awaited us and the manager was extremely helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely return when we are back on the area.
Lovely light, well equipped lodge with beautiful open views across fields to the Tor
4 days post Christmas break is this lovely location. Just two lodges in a huge field with far reaching views towards Glastonbury Tor. The lodge itself is fabulously equipped, with some very special touches on arrival. The bed was so comfy and the lodge was spotlessly clean. Our host although seen was available by text although would have happily popped over just to see us. I would recommend this lodge wholeheartedly. I would like to visit when the livestock is out in the fields, then I would say this place is just perfection.
Upon arrival The views are amazing very tranquil and peaceful, entering the lodge you could see how Beautiful and very well-kept it was.
Lovely lodge and great views.
Beautiful and modern lodge, peaceful atmosphere with stunning views. Very private and secure. Only spent a long weekend there but the lodge has enough space and facilities to stay permanently. Well worth a visit.
Wonderful lodge. Absolutely spotless and in a fantastic location. Owner so helpful and friendly.
2nd visit just as good as first.
Beautiful lodge, surroundings were hard to beat and a very helpful caretaker (left my jacket there and she sent it straight back!). We went with my sister and her other half, but already thinking about visiting again with just my husband for a romantic break. It's near to all the best parts of the county, and is great for unwinding and getting some peace and quiet! Interior is gorgeous (although we were in constant fear of spilling something on the light grey carpet!) and it was very well equipped. Looking forward to returning!
Perfect break for relaxing
