A great lodge. If I had to be picky I would say a second bathroom would be good and a slightly larger wash hand basin but to be honest that didn't spoil our enjoyment. I particularly like the fact that there is generous space between lodges

Will not book again, wasn't for us, bad weather didn't help the situation, would have been better if hot tub had a roof over it then we could have still used it.

Fantastic family holiday with our two dogs. Very dog friendly with a huge secure area to let them off for a run. Fishing was excellent, fantastic golf course and even a driving range. Woodies restaurant is on site and good, tasty value. Caravan spacious and clean. The only negative thing I will mention is that Hoseasons states towels are included. They are not. This should be removed from the advert.

We stayed in Oak cottage, it's beautiful, overlooking the lake. It's clean and has everything you need for your stay including a washing machine, Henry hoover, and a clothes drying rack. Rooms are lovely and have plenty of storage space. I'd advise you take an electric bug bat, woodthorpe is smack bang in the countryside, you get flies no matter what accommodation you are in, we're used to country living, you get flies. The only real issue we had was the shower, it doesn't have fantastic pressure and it's in the bath, but we managed. The lady who owns the cottages will pop by just after you've checked in to make sure everything is satisfactory and help you navigate the cottage. She's so lovely and even chats to my teenagers. She leaves tea, coffee and sugar sachets, a pint of milk in the fridge and a welcome treat like cake or biscuits. It's these little extras that brings us back to the cottages. The hot tub at oak cottage is one of the easiest hot tubs we've used so far, it's really warm and has simple controls, it's easy to access and plenty of room for 4 adults. The conservatory was huge with plenty of seats and has a dining table in there as well as the kitchen so you get a choice of where to eat your dinner, we mostly used the conservatory. I'd definitely stay here again. We've also stayed in the cottage next door, chestnut cottage, this has the same amenities as well as the additional sauna room which is brilliant and is located in a separate building and has a couple of showers and toilets so you don't have to trapse into the house. When using the hot tub we'd use this building to get changed and shower off in. You will have a brilliant time at woodthorpe I recommend it to anyone.

Nice and quiet just a short drive to a large supermarket at Mablethorpe just a short walk from the site is a garden centre also on the site is golf, fishing play ground for the young ones

One small issue was some food down the back of one of cushions in the living room / cooking space.

Pod was definitely a little cosy & did lack space for clothes, bed comfy & shower good. The table was uncomfortable to use due to the shape of the legs. Sauna & hot tub were a definite plus for us

Such a well appointed holiday cottage, clean, comfortable and extremely tranquil. Beautiful conservatory to enjoy rural views, a definite home from home.

This was our 1st visit to woodthorpe and it was very clean and everything looked really good x

We stayed for a week here in an acorn pod, the accommodation was well looked after and the site was so clean. It was the perfect getaway, managed to squeeze a round of golf in and the course was well maintained. The staff were friendly and the quality of the food was excellent. Very dog friendly. Definitely aimed at an older clientele with no entertainment on for children, but perfect for a relaxing time to recharge the batteries. We would definitely return.

We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location, especially the cottage we stayed in. It was nice visiting places in the area but we didn't like Mablethorpe!

The pod itself was perfect for our stay. The hot tub was fantastic as well as the sauna.

Well maintained clean but the seating was a little low for us and the table inside the pod is small

The pod was good very roomie and clean, could not open windows as there was to much flies. We had to leave the blinds closed for the heat as there was fans luckily we had our own one.

Absolutely recommend the couples retreat. It's was very well fitted out, with everything you need in the hut. The only little issue we did come across was the lack of wardrobe/ unit in the bedroom. There was a small rail, and cupboard above it bit thats all. The bath made up for it though, the separate shower in the bathroom was powerful enough, not one with a little trickle. The sofa and bed were very comfortable also. The hot tub and sauna were the added bonus to the cabin. We really enjoyed using both. Enclosed deck for the dogs, made this perfect for us. We will certainly look at returning.

Lovely pod!! Great hot tub and sauna. Tub was serviced everyday. The pod has everything you need, including a very gpod oven. The only thing I think could he added is a mirror as there is just the one in the bathroom. Very clean and lovely lovely location.

Me and my wife had a fantastic relaxing week away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The pod we had was spotless when we arrived and has everything you need for a self catering break. The jacuzzi although small had ample room for the pair of us, the added bonus to these pods was a good size sauna. The site has a great 18 hole golf course that is well manicured and not too taxing for the older guests. The site is spotlessly clean with ample bins for your daily or weekly rubbish. The guests are friendly and we even made friends with lots off residents. The bar is extremely well stocked with known beers as well as some local real ales, the food choice is fantastic and extremely well cooked and presented and the prices are extremely competitive. If I had one negative it would be that the bar doesn't have sky sports and as a football fan that was quite disappointing but hey hey not everyone is into football. Will my wife and I be back????? Absolutely we will.

Everything that you needed was available in the lodge. It was clean and comfortable. A great weekend retreat, will definitely book again.

Very clean and great for walking dogs with a secure field where dogs allowed off lead. Hot tub was great and water was tested every day.
