Really enjoyed the stay, peaceful environment and perfect for unwinding. Will return!

We had a fantastic weekend at this place! The cottage was stunning and had all the essentials. The bed was super comfy and the hot tub was definitely a highlight. Only downside was the tricky access-those steep, narrow roads might catch some out. Still, we loved every moment. Thanks a lot!

We had a really lovely time here! The place was super cosy, calm and warm - that fire was absolute perfection. The facilities surprised us, especially the kitchen, which was well-equipped for the price. The hot tub was a great bonus and we loved having full privacy. Everything we needed was right there and wed definitely come back!

Great spot for a quick getaway! Plenty to see and do, though definitely need more than a weekend if you want to explore fully. Really relaxing trip!

We had an incredible time at this lodge! The views and surroundings are truly breathtaking and the host was super friendly and welcoming. The pellet burner was such a clever idea - no fuss, no mess, just cosy warmth. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches like fresh milk, eggs, bread and a great coffee selection; it made breakfast feel special. The only thing to note is that the sofa could do with replacing soon, but honestly, it didnt spoil our stay. Well definitely be back!

We had an awesome week at Slate House Lodges, staying in Valley View Lodge. The place was spotless, super comfy and surprisingly roomy. The kitchen had everything we needed, which was great. The upstairs reading/view room was a lovely touch. WiFi was quick and reliable, which was handy. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the stunning Welsh countryside. The views from the lodge and the surrounding hills were just breathtaking. Wed definitely recommend it and hope to come back sometime soon!

The place is absolutely gorgeous and the facilities are top-notch. The owners are genuinely lovely, making our stay really special. Already telling everyone how great it was!

We had such a lovely escape from the busy daily grind. Being surrounded by peaceful, stunning scenery really made our break special. The lodge was cosy and had everything we needed, making it feel like a proper retreat. Waking up to pheasants wandering about and watching the kites soaring was a real treat. The walk up the hill offered amazing views and honestly, the hot tub was the perfect finishing touch. Wed definitely return!

We had a wonderful week in Pool View Lodge, the fist thing we noticed was the cleanliness, the lodge was so comfortable the hot tub was fantastic, we would definitely go back. We definitely recommend.

The lodges are in a beautiful setting with a stunning view. They positioned well apart.
The area was well placed for visiting the things we wanted to do.
Not too far from the Mach Loop (about 45 mins) if that is a destination aim!

Came here with 3 others & had a good few days, location was spot on & lodge with lovely. Will defo be coming back in the near future. Will stay for longer next time though :) 10 out of 10!

Amazing place lovely area away from everywhere my daughter loved the sheep only thing next time I bring carrier for little one as pushchair bit hard on routes to walk but Amazing place and staff was very helpful thank you for great holiday ?

The owners have created something very special here.
We stayed 7 nights in Valley View Lodge and the lodge and surroundings are exceptional.
We wanted somewhere where we could just relax, unwind and chill out in peace & quiet - we were not disappointed and didn't want leave on our final day.
We will definitely be booking a return stay or two or three.

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed. Although it is a bit off the beaten track the setting is idyllic with breathtaking countryside and views all around. The owners were really pleasant and very helpful. The perfect place if you want to relax and chill out.

Best holiday

If you are looking for total peace and tranqulity Slate House Lodges is the place for you.
Slightly off the beaten track but still have access to shops and supermarkets within a 10 minute drive.
The communication prior to our arrival was fantastic and any questions we had were answered promptly.
The first thing that hits you when you arrive is the silence and the stunning views.
We stayed in Pool View and were very luck with the weather. The added bonus of the hot tub, was very welcome and used every day to relax.
The lodge has everyting you need for a few days away and was spotlessly clean. Would highly recommend Slate house lodges .

So peaceful with great accommodation

One of the best places I've stayed. Stands out as how holiday accommodation should be done. Congrats to the owners.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ivy Tree Lodge. Beautiful location, remote enough for complete peace and quiet, but only 20 minutes to nearest town (Newtown). Plenty to do and see locally with great walks, reservoirs and waterfalls. Yet an hour or so drive through some incredible countryside to some bigger resorts (Aberystwyth, PorthMadog etc). Our Hosts Paul and Holly (just up the hill) were very helpful and friendly.
Take books and board games if you are taking teenagers. They will love the hot-tub, but may complain about the basic free-view on the TV and the WiFi not being strong enough to stream!
Highly recommended destination for those that want modern, well equipped accommodation in a truly secluded and beautiful location.
