We had a fantastic stay! The cottage was super well-maintained and had everything we needed. Plenty of lovely walks for the dogs just outside the door. The host was really friendly and quick to respond, which made everything smooth. We loved meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig. Definitely coming back-great value! Highly recommend.

We just got back from a week at Goddards Mead and it was fantastic! The cottage had everything we needed and the hosts were genuinely lovely. Even though its on a working farm, it felt so peaceful-truly a good place. Wed definitely go back!

We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage tucked away on a working farm, yet it feels surprisingly private. Robert and Sharon are such friendly hosts, really warm and welcoming. The place is huge, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that made us feel right at home. The gardens perfect for dogs - totally private and furnished nicely. We enjoyed exploring the nearby walks and tried some great restaurants in Thaxted, especially The Star and The Maypole. Definitely recommend!

The owners were super friendly and really helpful when the storm knocked out the power. The place was spotless, warm and well-equipped. Our dog loved the enclosed garden and we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub! Definitely recommend.

We had an amazing weekend here and totally loved our stay. The place was just perfect for what we needed. Our dogs had a blast with the underfloor heating and running around in the garden. Luna even wagged her tail so much she hurt it, but she was super happy all weekend. Well definitely be coming back!

We stayed at this place during a rainy December and honestly, it was perfect. The house is super well equipped and kept us cosy all weekend. The bath was fantastic and the shower was big enough for a proper rinse! Being on a flight path didnt bother us at all-dont let that put you off. Ideal spot for dogs that dislike fireworks, in the middle of nowhere. Thanks a lot!

The owners are super friendly and helpful, always nearby if you need anything but without intruding on your peace. The hot tub was a real highlight after a day out cycling-absolutely perfect! A quick heads-up: the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didnt ruin our holiday at all. Would definitely recommend!

Very nice lodge would stay again the only downfall was that there was no on site entertainment but other than that it was superb!

Lovely quiet and relaxed site. Lodges are spacious, well maintained, well equipped and very clean. Close to Dartmoor and 30 minutes from the beaches of Bude. Roadford lake, which is great for water sports is just down the road.

Great place to stay, quiet, peaceful and relaxing just what we wanted ?

We spent five nights in Ruby Country Lodges.

The complex was in a secluded spot and there was plenty of things to do in the area. It was calm and peaceful.

The maintenance staff Mark was available every day and he and his colleagues are up keeping the complex to a high standard.

The instructions for guests was extremely clear and all our queries were answered in the booklet.

Perfect relaxing break with plenty of places of interest close by.

Absolutely loved the lodge, spotlessly clean, home from home had everything ypu needed and more, beds were so comfy, quality linen check in was quick and easy, lovely surroundings, would highly recommend, we cannot wait to book again for a visit. Thank you so much for having us to stay ??

After being disappointed after our last 2 visits ,2 shabby lodges , especially the last one . this time we were not disappointed, lodge spotless , bed very comfortable and overall the site looking very tidy . Can’t wait til we return next March

Great getaway for relaxing and peace and quiet.
Lodge was great, everyone loved it and hot tub was fab.

This was our 3 rd visit and the lodge which was a Tamar is looking tired and some of the kitchen cupboards and cooker need a good steam clean. Dirty marks on the mattress which we only discovered when we stripped the beds. Needs updating and refreshing especially the decking and outdoor furniture

We have been going to Ruby lodges for about 8 years now and we absolutely love it! It’s quiet and relaxing and such a peaceful retreat. The lodges are always spotless and the staff are extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them, we would highly recommend it here.
