The whole chalet was tilted to one side, the cobwebs and spiders have lived rent free for quite a while, the beds are uncomfortable. The amount of chlorine in the hot tub was too high and it wasnt clear at all, hot tub was too small and very old. Decking was a mess with broken wood, the gate was almost hanging off. The view was a fallen tree, no where within walking distance as its on a windy road with no path, the shower head was broken and water comes out the side, the bathroom floor was split and the WiFi kept dropping out. All in all no value for money whatsoever, they have removed some chalets and just left the decking out to rot but really the whole lot need to be replaced.

We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage was charming and peaceful, perfect for escaping the busy city. The hot tub was a lovely bonus too. Owners were super helpful without being intrusive, theyve got it just right!

We had a fantastic stay at this cottage! The place is spotlessly maintained and super well equipped, making it really comfortable. There are plenty of lovely walks right outside, perfect for the doggos. The host was lovely, really friendly and communication was smooth. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a real highlight. Well definitely return-such great value! Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic week at this cosy cottage from July 15th to 22nd with our two little dachshunds. They loved exploring the village of Thaxted and making friends with other dogs. The place itself is lovely, especially the hot tub - perfect after those scorching days when the water was nice and cool. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming, it was nice to see their dogs being taken out daily. Being close to Stansteds flight path was actually pretty interesting to watch the planes land. Wed definitely recommend it!

We had a really lovely stay here! The place was spotless when we arrived and check-in over the phone was smooth. The little gate on the decking was perfect for our dog, so she couldnt wander off. The location is just right, although having a car is a must to get to nearby shops and attractions. Were already planning our next visit, so yes, wed recommend it!

This place is a real gem! Perfectly tucked away for peace but still near shops and stuff. The hot tub is fantastic and the underfloor heating keeps everything cosy. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie are lovely hosts. Were already planning our next visit-cant wait to come back for longer!

We just got back from a great four-night stay at this cottage. The owners were really friendly and helpful, but totally respectful of our space, which was nice. The fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around in freely. The place had everything we needed, including a fully stocked kitchen and a BBQ for one evening. The hot tub was fantastic! Wed definitely come back and already recommend it to friends. Thanks for a lovely trip!

We had a lovely stay at Goddard's Mead. Rob & Sharon did a fantastic job transforming this historic building and they made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived, along with Bonnie. The place is perfect for relaxing, with everything you could need. Located in a lovely part of Essex, we enjoyed exploring Thaxted and the surrounding villages-so much history and charm in the area. Would definitely recommend!

We needed a peaceful getaway with the dog and this place nailed it. Lovely countryside, great local pubs and loads of space for walks. The dog loved it so much, didnt want to leave the car!

It was a beautiful, quiet location with a cafe, play area and a pub no more than a 5 minute drive away. The cabin was lovely and spacious. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We all said that we would look forward to staying again.

Lovely location, very quiet but only a ten minute drive from Tesco should you need anything.
Not a huge amount to do or see on the site, but perfect for a quiet break.
Family of 7 here (5 children) and the kids loved the accommodation and hot tub.
Cambridge and Ely only 30 mins or so away. Wicken Fen is a great place to visit and is only a 20 min drive.
Accommodation was very clean. A few minor repair jobs were probably needed (shower bracket loose and one missing Oven Knob) but nothing major.

An amazing, tranquil gorgeous holiday park. Lodge was top notch. Staff very helpful and just so great to wake up see the horses. Lovely stay, thank you.

Restful break easily accessible to different areas, all in all highly recommendable!!

Shame it was just a set price for set nights?
More flexibility would be nice. We travelled up for a weekend wedding from Hampshire and we had to pay for Fri/sat and Sunday stay over??? So bit expensive for two nights needed.

Had a fantastic stay nice and peaceful, hot tub was great in morning with the sunrise.

Everything was perfect for us, quiet place between trees with a small pond, with ducks and geese. Good for disconnecting for a few days. We visited some national trust locations in the area, parks, and a close mill. We saw horses close by, rabbits, sheeps and heard so many birds between the trees. Also there was a wedding, but we managed to sleep.

Lovely 4 night stay-beautiful surroundings!

The caravan was spotless hot tub was lovely we went out to ely which was great the country park there was lovely if you have children take them there walk along the river grab some lunch fantastic and the dog loved it as well
