We needed a relaxing dog walk break and it was just perfect. Lovely quality place, with pubs and eateries nearby. Miles of open fields and off-road trails - the dog didnt want to leave, honestly!

They gave us a warm welcome and Bonnie was adorable! The location is perfect for exploring Essex; we loved wandering around Thaxted and nearby villages to soak up the history and charming architecture. Honestly, its a lovely spot for a relaxing break and wed definitely recommend it to others!

The host was really friendly and easy to chat to. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a highlight. Well definitely be coming back - great value and a proper peaceful getaway!

The place itself is surprisingly spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we didnt want to leave. The garden is perfect for dogs, completely secluded and nicely furnished. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxteds restaurants like The Star and The Maypole are worth a visit. Wed definitely stay again!

We had an amazing stay! The tent had everything we needed and was super comfortable. The spot was just right, especially with the hot tub area catching the afternoon sun all evening - perfect for relaxing. Having toilet facilities inside the tent was a real bonus and the little hideaway bed was a hit with the kid. Only thing to watch out for is it can get pretty warm in there, so bringing a fan is a good idea. Would definitely come back!
