The place wasnt quite what we expected from the pictures, but it did the job.

We had a wonderful, chilled-out stay. The cottage was spotless, had all we needed plus some nice little touches. Highly recommend it!

The owners were super friendly and really went out of their way when the storm caused a power cut. The place was spotless, warm and well-equipped. Our dog loved the enclosed garden and we enjoyed the hot tub! Lovely stay.

We had such a lovely stay at this cottage! Its on a working farm, but surprisingly private and peaceful. Robert and Sharon are really welcoming hosts, making us feel right at home. The place is huge, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we just didnt want to leave. The garden is perfect for dogs, totally enclosed and with nice furniture. There are some great walks nearby and Thaxted has some cracking restaurants like The Star and The Maypole. Wed definitely recommend it!

This place is perfect if youre after a peaceful break. The cottage is spotless and has all the bits and bobs you could need. The hot tub? Absolutely lovely! Loads of lovely walks nearby. Honestly, we had a brilliant time and would definitely come back!

The place itself is beautifully kept, warm and spotless, with a really comfy bed and a cosy living area. Parking right outside was a bonus and the shower was excellent. We enjoyed peaceful walks across the fields to Thaxted, which is full of character. Definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this cosy place tucked away in a lovely, secluded spot. The owners were super friendly and always willing to help if needed, but we still felt like we had plenty of privacy. The hot tub was a real treat after a long cycle day! Only thing to keep in mind is that the cottages right under the flight path at Stansted, so theres quite a bit of plane noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but it didnt ruin our trip at all. Definitely recommend!

We had a fantastic weekend stay and truly enjoyed our time here. Our dogs were in their element with the underfloor heating and the garden was perfect for them to play. Luna especially was wagging her tail non-stop and she even strained it! Honestly, it was a great break for both us and the pups. Well definitely be coming back!

We needed a quiet getaway with the dog and this place was spot on. Lovely fields nearby, great pubs and eateries just a short stroll. The dog loved it so much, he didnt want to leave the car!

We just got back from a week at Goddards Mead and honestly, it was lovely. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and the hosts are so friendly and welcoming. Even being on a working farm, it felt like a peaceful retreat. Definitely recommend!

we enjoyed our stay with 3 boys with disabilitys wuld of loved to have been in van at front looking at sea but overall was great time nxt yr will book 2wks camping

Great holiday for a young family. The site goes straight down onto the beach area which was a bonus for us. The beach was mainly shingle, but as the tide went out the sand did appear. My 2yr olds loved it.
Staff were very helpful.
We would go back again.
