We really enjoyed our stay at Goddard Mead! The cottage had everything we needed and the walks right outside were perfect. The hosts were so friendly and made us feel really welcome. Lovely experience!

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy little cottage! Honestly, we didnt need to pack much because the place is so well equipped. The welcome pack was really handy, packed with all the info and menus - you can tell the owners put a lot of thought into it. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was just perfect after a long day. Sharon and Robe were super quick to reply if we had questions. Thanks for a great break - well definitely be back!

We spent a week here in mid-July with our two mini dachshunds and it was really lovely. The cottage itself is charming and comfortably furnished, with the hot tub being a real highlight-especially during those scorching days when the cooled water felt so refreshing. The hosts were genuinely welcoming and it was nice to see their dogs taken out to the fields daily. Being close to Stansteds flight path meant we could enjoy watching the planes land, which added a bit of fun to our stay. Wed definitely recommend it!

Parking right next to the cottage is such a bonus and we enjoyed taking walks through the fields to Thaxted, which is full of character with its half-timbered houses and windmill. Definitely recommend!

We had such a lovely weekend here, it really ticked all the boxes for us. The place was perfect and were already planning to return. Our dogs had a blast too - they adored the underfloor heating and the garden. Luna was wagging her tail so much she strained it, but it just shows how much fun they had! Definitely recommend.

The owners, Robert and Sharon, are just lovely people. The place itself is really spacious with well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The bed was super comfy and the garden, which is dog-proof and beautifully furnished, was just right for relaxing. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted has some nice restaurants like The Star and The Maypole - definitely worth a visit. Wed definitely recommend it!
