Hawthorn Glen Lodges - Reviews

We Had lovely time here, the lodge was very spacious and very clean. We loved that the hot tub was private (on the side) rather than being at front where everyone could see. The lodge is tucked away on beautiful golf course, with a little shop which gives you so much more quality family time. Its so peaceful especially at night. For families staying we recommend the following days out : ROARR (about hour away) Skylark (about half hour away) Train to kings Lyn (station is 5/10 mins away in car, and cost £13 for family of four return) Bircham windmill - (50 mins away) climb to the top, make own bread, play stuff for children, horse, lovely cafe!

Good size lodge

Amazing holiday, lovely location, unlimited golf, clean lodge and friendly staff

Really enjoyed our visit overall, even though theres no restaurant onsite which was a bit of a letdown. The free golf was a lovely bonus and wed definitely return for another round someday!

We loved our stay at this charming cottage! The location is just perfect-so peaceful and scenic, with lovely views of the surrounding farml and and horses. The owners were genuinely friendly and attentive, making us feel really welcomed. Definitely a great spot if youre after a quiet, relaxing escape. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was super cosy and well kitted out, perfect for a chilly December day. The bath was so relaxing and the shower was a good size. Even though its under a flight path, we hardly noticed any noise, so dont let that put you off. Great spot for dogs who dislike fireworks - totally peaceful out here. Thanks a lot!

We had such a lovely stay here! The owners are genuinely friendly and went out of their way to help us. The cottage itself is adorable, with a charming half-timbered look and a really good shower. The cosy kitchen and comfy bed made it feel just like home. Parking right next to the cottage was super convenient and the place was spotless. Perfect base for walks to Thaxted and exploring nearby villages. Would definitely stay again!

We had a fantastic weekend stay, everything was just perfect for us. The place really hit the mark and were already planning to return. Our dogs had a blast-especially with the underfloor heating, they loved it! The garden was great fun too. Luna was wagging her tail so much, she strained it! All in all, happy pups and happy us!

We had a fantastic stay! The place was super peaceful and well stocked with everything we needed. Loved relaxing in the hot tub after a day of exploring. The hosts were lovely too. Highly recommend for some quiet downtime!

Really enjoyed our stay here! The garden was perfect for our dog and the hot tub was just what we needed after a busy day. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was charming and perfectly placed, far from busy areas. The hot tub was fantastic! Owners were friendly but not intrusive at all.

We loved this cosy little cottage! Its perfectly tucked away, giving us privacy but still close enough to enjoy local shops and cafes. The hot tub was such a treat and the underfloor heating kept us super warm. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel right at home. Cant wait to return!

The setting was truly charming and having the dogs along made it even better, just wandering through fields.

We had such a great stay at Clavering Lodge! Perfect for golf lovers and unwinding in the hot tub. Stunning scenery everywhere, truly a spot to relax completely.

We had such a lovely stay at Goddard Mead! The cottage was well-equipped and cosy, perfect for exploring the nearby walks. The owners were genuinely friendly and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend!

Really pleased with the lodge, everything felt quite homely and comfy.

No complaints for the lodge fixtures and fittings, very comfortable..

Really enjoyed our stay, the lodge had everything we needed and more.

We just got back from a lovely week at Goddards Mead. The cottage had absolutely everything we needed, nice and cosy. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Despite being on a working farm, it felt so peaceful and relaxing!

Weve been to Cloud Lodge twice now and loved it so much, weve already booked for next year! Everythings just lovely.

We loved the quiet atmosphere and the fully enclosed garden, perfect for our furry friends. Lovely stay!

We had a fantastic stay at this cosy little place tucked away in a lovely, secluded spot. The owners were genuinely friendly and always on hand if we needed anything, yet they respected our privacy completely. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day of cycling - such a relaxing touch! One thing to note, though, is that the cottage is directly under the flight path of Stansted, so aircraft noise is unavoidable. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didnt ruin our trip at all. Wed definitely go back!

We had a fantastic weekend here! The lodge was spotless and felt really cosy, which made it perfect for a relaxing break. The location was so tranquil, we loved it. The staff were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to help. Definitely a place wed return to for sure!

Great experience, would definitely come back.

We loved our stay here! The lodge was spotless and roomy, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring Norfolk. Staff were super friendly and accommodating, making everything easy. The hot tub was a real treat after long days out-definitely coming back soon!

Apart from the RAF fighter jets taking off once in a while some distance away this is a very quiet getaway. This is THE perfect place to unwind and relax. Tecos's is 6 mins by car so you do not have to travel far for your shopping. There is also a hot tub that is checked regularly by the staff so it is always clean. This is a great stress relief if you have been on a long drive, or again you want to simply unwind. With the choice of paying and playing a round of golf there is no better way to just simply chill. It is also a great place to base yourself to visit some of the great tourist attractions nearby. As a recommendation goes. we can not wait to return to this site again

Lovely tranquil setting ! Staff were friendly and helpful and very welcoming.
Lodge was beautifully presented and very comfortable. It was well equipped and clean.
Hot tub was in a very private position and was a great feature of the hire.
The view from the lounge area of the lodge was across the golf course . We saw a little Muntjac coming trotting across the golf course and past put lodge a couple of times !
Rey. Dry nice ! Would definitely book again.

Lovely lodge on a golf course.
Everything you need was there including coffee and biscuits!

Had an amazing time. Lots of places around to go and see. Staff at hawthorn glen lodges were fantastic. 100% will be looking to go again.

Our third visit.
Excellent Lodge
Spacious and spotlessly clean.
Friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble.
The new patio is very good with comfortable seating.
Very good value food and drinks. I’m sure that we will return in the future.

Peaceful location, beautiful spacious lodge, very clean, perfect for a relaxing break.

Fantastic Holiday,totally relaxing ?

Lovely stay really quiet and nice location

Very nice lodge. Only two lodges currently. Situated on a golf course and was very quiet. Lodge was very clean and spacious. Would advise however to take your own hairdryer as could not locate one. Also, if you like fresh coffee, take your own cafetière. Hot tub was lovely and was located in a private, secluded area outside the front door. About 50 minutes from Cambridge park and ride and about 30 minutes from Kings Lynn. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Wifi was excellent and TV has access to Netflix, iPlayer, Prime for streaming.

Great location to explore Norfolk. The lodge has everything you would expect for an enjoyable break. The bonus is the spa pool….even when it’s raining!!!

A lovely spotlessly clean lodge. Minor points would be hooks on bedroom doors, decent shelf in bathroom, outdoor loungers.

A perfect place to stay for a short break, so quiet and peaceful. The lodge was immaculate, hot tub lovely and warm and hidden away down the side of the lodge. We will definitely return.
