Absolutely the best holiday, retreat, its such a beautiful healing place, stunning forest walks, fab Hot Tub, Dog friendly in alot of lodges, I seriously can't praise this place enough....love love love it!

Beautiful lodge, comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen with a large fridge and freezer.. We like the utility room and always make use of the washer and dryer. The outside area of the lodge had been upgraded since our last visit and was a fabulous addition, especially the covered area surrounding the new hot tub.If i was to make any suggestions I would say the pillows could do with being renewed and the dining chairs are quite hard to sit on, other than that it is our favourite place to stay

Another wonderful stay at Griffon Forest- although we were unlucky with the weather this didnt spoil our stay- right from the warm welcome from a familiar face at reception to the friendly goodbye the staff we encountered were all great. Any issues were noted & advice given about how to enhance our stay.The lodges(weve stayed in 14 & 7) are of a high standard & my wife & I would absolutely recommend this fabulous location.

Perfect for us and the dog

Wonderful place which was well kept with good facilities. The decor is perfect along with the four poster beds. The welcome packs and personalised doggie bag was very much appreciated by our Guide Dog mum Jenny who didn't stop playing with the squeaky toy the whole time we were there. The walks, birds, badgers and deer were amazing and you really felt privileged to be able to watch and feed them. Can't wait to come back. Thanks to the staff for being so helpful, proactive and friendly.

Bathroom is tired and fencing wasn't 100% secure for our dogs.

Only thing would be some where to hang washing to dry

The Lodge was very clean and we love how comfy the Beds are .It is very well Equipped even Washing machine and Dryer

The jacuzzi bath had the knobs loose but the lodge is due for a complete refurbishment.Fully equipped kitchenNew decking layout fantastic and one of the largest decks I have stayed at.

Well equipped lodge, spotlessly clean, plenty of towels. Could do with a mat to stand on from the hot tub to the bedroom as it could get quite slippy.

We had such a lovely stay at this charming cottage. The place was spotless and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. The hot tub was a real highlight and there are plenty of walks nearby. Honestly, wed come back in a heartbeat!

The place was so calming and perfect for our dog, with a fully enclosed garden! Loved it.

We had a really nice weekend here, the place was lovely and we'd definitely come back later on.

Saw lots of wildlife Resident squirrels and a badger after we left out some peanut butter

We had such a lovely stay in this charming little place tucked away in a peaceful spot. The owners were super friendly and always on hand if we needed anything, but it still felt very private. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long cycle day! Just a heads up, the cottage is directly under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but if youre sensitive to noise, its worth considering. Overall, a great getaway.

We just got back from a four-night stay at this charming cottage and honestly, we had a lovely time. The owners are super friendly but not in your face, which was perfect. The garden is huge and secure - great for our dog to run around. The place had everything we needed and we even enjoyed a BBQ one evening. The hot tub? Absolutely brilliant! Wed definitely come back and have already told friends about it. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We stayed in a Keepers pet friendly in July. It was amazing!! The lodge was huge, very clean and had everything you needed from a dishwasher to a washing machine and tumble dryer. The hot tub was outstanding and checked every morning by staff. The site is very clean and quite. The driveway into the sight is stunning and houses so much wildlife. The walks around the park are amazing too and we saw so many deer and foxes.
They have wildlife cameras that you can watch on the TV in the lodges.
We hired bikes too, it very good value for money and very easy to do. The staff were fantastic. You are out of the way of any supermarkets but can get a delivery to site and there are some stunning towns to visit not far from site. Whitby is about an hour drive. We absolutely loved our holidays. We will definitely be booking next year. It was one of the best sites we have ever stayed in.

A perfect location for visiting York. The lodge was really clean, luxuriously comfortable and well equipped. The forest setting was relaxing and the sister hotel was a convenient short walk away. Superb.

We stayed at Cherry Tree Barn and it was absolutely beautiful, gorgeous surrounding areas. The barn was very clean and very big, 3 good sized bedrooms. We did a woodland walk with our dog it was about an hour and it took you to Sandburn Hall. Tykes restaurant is also at Sandburn Hall and it is definitely worth a visit, the food was excellent and the staff are a credit to the restaurant, all were extremely helpful and friendly. We will definitely visit again in the near future.

Had a lovely time. Was heatwave first day so no need for hot tub,acd tub would have been better, Lol. could have done with air con or fans that day. But a lovely time and the best WiFi set up with smart TV. Great. Ps be aware the WiFi logs you out and you have to search again to reconnect every so often but inly when you have bit used for a while. A wee squirrel visitor came to see us every day on the patio. Bring the citronella candles though as you are in a forest. Not many midgies but horseflys. Great location for York and Scarborough.

Great place so tranquil and relaxing. Amazing setting and perfect for dog walks, bike trails and walks. Really great log cabin and all the amenities you need.

Accommodation was absolutely superb. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Nearby Restaurant and Sports Bar facilities were excellent. We are already sorting dates for next year.

Beautiful place, very relaxing.

A great setting and quiet surroundings the site had some good walks in forest and the surrounding countryside was stunning the lodges are well kept and spacious with a very private hot tub close to York and coast would definitely visit it again
