They gave us such a warm welcome, along with Bonnie, which made us feel right at home. The place has everything you need for a chilled-out stay. The location is perfect, in the heart of Essex and we enjoyed exploring Thaxted and nearby villages, soaking up the history and charm. Definitely recommend!

The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely warm and friendly. The cottage itself is big, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we slept like logs on. The garden is perfect for dogs-completely enclosed and nicely furnished. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted has some great restaurants like The Star and The Maypole. Wed definitely recommend it!

After a long day cycling, the hot tub was just what we needed! The only thing to note is that the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of plane noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but if youre sensitive to noise, its worth bearing in mind. Overall, a great little getaway!
