They gave us a warm welcome, along with Bonnie, which made us feel right at home. The location is perfect for exploring Essexs charming villages like Thaxted-definitely worth taking a leisurely stroll around to soak up the history and sights. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

The garden is perfect for dogs, completely secluded and furnished nicely. There are plenty of scenic walks nearby and Thaxted's restaurants, like The Star and The Maypole, are worth visiting. Wed definitely recommend it!

We stayed at this place and honestly, its really well kitted out and super cosy, perfect for a chilly December day. The bath was lovely and the shower was big enough to feel like a spa! The location is quite remote, but thats a plus if your dogs hate fireworks - theyre safe here. The house is beautifully converted and didnt get disturbed by the planes overhead at all. Thanks a lot!

The hot tub was a real treat after cycling all day. A small thing to note is that the cottage sits right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but if you're sensitive to noise, it might be worth considering. Overall, a great place to unwind!
