Both showers flooded the floors, had to mop up ourselves and left with an offensive smelling bedroom carpet for rest of the stay. Delivered new towels which was good but soaked old ones werent removed so left with a heap of soaked towels in the bathroom for the remainder of the break. BBQ was needing a thorough deep clean so wasnt able to use which was disappointing.

We stayed in the Ocean Breeze Villa 3 with Hot tub at Golden coast Holiday park. Staff were very friendly and the Villa was very comfortable, we loved the hot Tub. We loved the Indoor pool very spacious with a Sauna. The main outdoor Pool you have to book for an Hour and it is quite regimented with being called out 10 minutes earlier to get changed. The bowling was very expensive with it was £7.50 per person, so it cost us £30 for a family of four for one game and the Pool Game is £2. Nisa local and eating out is also expensive at Golden Coast Holiday park although the food was good. The menu could do with having more Vegetarian and Gluten free options. I think with the cost of living crisis at the moment we do feel the park need to review there charges for all the extras, if they did this we would be tempted to come back as it is a lovely park and not too Crowded.

We stayed in a 4 berth caravan, it was quite spacious, it was clean, and everything you'd expect. Could have done with a couple of extra items like a dust pan and brush and a iron but we did ask to borrow a hoover to which they accommodated us which was brilliant. It's quite a walk to the club house from cleavewood and pretty steep hills but the kids found the walk fun. There were some wear and tears in the caravan but due to it being a pets welcome caravan that's to be expected but overall it was fine.

I had a wonderful experience at this place. It was very clean, and the staff were exceptionally polite. The facilities were comprehensive, and the location was convenient. However, the only downside was that there was no mobile phone reception inside the caravan.

It wasn't the best caravan we have stayed in our lives, but it was okay. Wasn't one of those large ones, wasn't super clean - but it had everything. It is also located a bit far from the main area so if you have old, disabled people - maybe you need to pick up a different option.

Well equipped villa. Dog friendly. Needed to get in the car to get out for proper dog walking, as main road around site does not have footpath, but adequate on site for a little necessary exercise and plenty of waste bins.

Unfortunately we were next door to a family who left their dog for up to six hours at a time on its own, it did nothing but bark and howl for hours on end. I reported it twice to the reception team but nothing was done about it, the barking and howling continued for the full seven days we were there. The bar/cafe was also dog friendly and dogs were barking at each other constantly making any conversation impossible. We brought our two dogs with us but they were never left on their own and when in the bar/cafe they were quiet. No staff member did anything to ask the owners to quiet their dogs or remove them for causing such a disruption. I left the park more stressed than when I arrived, so much for a relaxing break! I feel like I completely wasted nearly £500 of my money as it was not a holiday for me, just a very stressful time, owners also had their dogs off lead despite notices but staff did not say anything despite them walking past these dogs off lead, which isnt fair on those who were.

We had such a lovely stay at Goddard's Mead! Rob and Sharon really put a lot of effort into beautifully restoring this historic building and it shows. They gave us a warm welcome, along with Bonnie, which made us feel right at home. The location is perfect for exploring Essexs charming villages like Thaxted-definitely worth taking a leisurely stroll around to soak up the history and sights. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

We had such a lovely stay! The owners are genuinely friendly and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The cottage itself is adorable, with that charming half-timbered look and a great shower thats perfect after a day out. The cosy kitchen and comfy bed made it feel like home. Plus, parking right next to the cottage was super convenient. Its well heated, spotless and perfect for exploring Thaxteds beautiful walks and windmill. Wed definitely return!

We had an really enjoyable stay at this lovely cottage! It's tucked away on a working farm but feels surprisingly private and peaceful. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are such lovely people-really friendly and welcoming. The place itself is spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that made us feel right at home. The garden is perfect for dogs, completely secluded and furnished nicely. There are plenty of scenic walks nearby and Thaxted's restaurants, like The Star and The Maypole, are worth visiting. Wed definitely recommend it!

We stayed at this place and honestly, its really well kitted out and super cosy, perfect for a chilly December day. The bath was lovely and the shower was big enough to feel like a spa! The location is quite remote, but thats a plus if your dogs hate fireworks - theyre safe here. The house is beautifully converted and didnt get disturbed by the planes overhead at all. Thanks a lot!

We just got back from a week at Goddards Mead and honestly, it was lovely. The cottage had everything we could think of, super well equipped. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming. Even on a working farm, it felt so peaceful, like a little retreat!

We had a lovely stay at this good place, tucked away in a peaceful spot. The owners really made us feel welcome and were super helpful when needed, but kept the privacy intact. The hot tub was a real treat after cycling all day. A small thing to note is that the cottage sits right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but if you're sensitive to noise, it might be worth considering. Overall, a great place to unwind!
