Really enjoyed our stay here! The place was super peaceful and perfect for our dog too.

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy little spot! The location is truly beautiful and very private, which we really appreciated. The owners are super friendly and always nearby if you need anything, but it still felt peaceful and secluded. The hot tub was a real treat after cycling all day! Only thing to mention is that the cottage is right under Stansted's flight path, so aircraft noise is quite noticeable at times. We got used to it quickly though and it didnt ruin our break at all. Definitely recommend!

Celebrated my mums 60th at the lodge and honestly, we couldnt find a single fault. Had an absolute blast and already planning our next visit!

We loved staying at this cosy little cottage. Its perfectly tucked away, so you feel private but still near shops and local spots. We had an absolutely lovely stay here! The owners are genuinely warm and caring, making us feel right at home. The cottage itself is charming, with its traditional half-timbered style and the shower was surprisingly powerful - perfect after a day out. The cosy kitchen and living space made it easy to relax and the bed was super comfy. Parking right next to the cottage was a big plus and its so well kept and warm. Great walks nearby too, especially across the fields to Thaxted, which is full of pretty half-timbered houses and a windmill. Wed definitely recommend it!

We had a really lovely stay at this lodge. It was spotless and clearly well maintained. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed, plus having Netflix and Prime was a definite bonus for movie nights. The hot tub was fantastic! Finding it in the dark was a bit tricky since all the lodges look alike, but once we did, we couldnt stop laughing at how close it was to the entrance. Wed definitely return!

The historic building they've sympathetically converted has a real charm and its clear theyve put a lot of effort into it. Goddard's Mead is perfect for a relaxing stay, with a great location in Essex. We loved wandering around Thaxted and nearby villages-so much history and beautiful buildings to discover. Definitely recommend it for a peaceful getaway!
