The caravan we were given was not what was bought we bought Gold + and were given a basic van. With no warning that there were no towels provided, hand bath or tea towel. No soap of any kind. No egg cup, discovered after cooking the eggs. No hot water in the sink!The only and unmovable seats were very uncomfortable, the television was hi no old the sound from it was appalling, loud and unclear.The mattresses were covered in plastic making them hot and sweaty.The putting course was unavailable and a shamble. To use the pool it was necessary to book the day before!It was interesting to note that many caravans were rented by tradesmen and residents noticeable by vans and trucks parked alongside the caravans giving the site a strange feel.My complaints to reception were treated very strangely with no positive action. Making it necessary for me not to challenge as I could feel it was totally useless and to save my complaint and opinions to be made here!I will be seeking compensation.

Good caravan for the money.

Me going away is hard work as I love a nice clean home, am OCD there was only few tiny faults like few cobwebs few crumbs on sofas. Other than that it was lovely .

The caravan itself was fairly standard. Nothing special, poor value for money as cost us well over £100 a night. The thing that lot really spoilt it was the neighbors we had and the lack of power the staff had with regards to these people.

Caravan was clean and tidy, with free mini pack of washing up liquid and cloths.Nice bonus as there was a small second toilet, useful with small kids.

As per previous page. Great size for us. Toddler still in a cot so handy to have an extra roomModern furnishings. All clean and tidy almost like newWould say it would be hard to fit 8!

Caravan was 10/10 value for money .. spotlessly clean and very well maintained future and fixtures Pillows - we could have done with more but thats just personal preference Overall fab caravan and would recommend

Caravan had all we needed for the week. Full size Fridge Freezer and 1 & 1/2 bathrooms a bonus, kitchen fully equipped but check the utensils for cleanliness.

Once carpets were cleaned,no problems.

Lovely caravan, apart from the amount of flies and slight smell of Chinese takeaway we could smell upon entering , however soon sorted after few hrs with windows open

Caravan was poor sticky when arrived cleaners never turned up when asking for the van to be re cleaned crumbs in bedroom before we even brought food into the caravan - ant infestation

Spacious Caravan for our needs, with en-suite toilet in main room. it was clean and tidy on arrival. Heating system was easy to use and worked well.

Lovely stay with warm hosts, the jacuzzi was a real highlight for us!

The caravan was spotless and super comfy, definitely new Id say. Wish the weather had been better so we could sit outside more.

Absolutely loved our stay at Goddards Mead! The cottage was perfect in every aspect. Were already planning to return.

We recently spent a long weekend here and honestly, we really enjoyed ourselves. The staff at Dovercourt were super friendly and made us feel right at home - nothing was too much trouble. The site itself is perfect for families with little ones, as the staff are great with kids. The local area isnt exactly scenic, more industrial, but if you're up for a short drive, there's plenty to do nearby. Were already thinking about bringing the grandkids next time - theyd love it!

We had a fantastic stay here! The place is super peaceful and well-equipped, perfect for some quiet time. The hot tub was a real highlight. Lovely hosts too. If you want a relaxing break, definitely recommend this spot!

Great stay, would recommend

We spent a week here in July with our two tiny terriers and honestly, it was such a lovely experience. The village of Thaxted was charming and the dogs loved making new friends around the area. The cottage itself is really cosy and the hot tub was a real treat-especially since it was scorchingly hot during our stay, so cooling off was perfect. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel at home. Watching the planes land near Stansted was surprisingly fun and we appreciated how welcoming everything was. Definitely a place wed return to!

We had a really lovely stay! Sharon and Robert made us feel so welcome, which was much appreciated. The place had everything we needed - super clean, comfy and secure for our dog Archie. The location was perfect, with plenty of walks nearby and charming villages like Thaxted. We definitely left feeling refreshed after a week of relaxation. Would happily come back again!
