You need to be very fit to manage the steep road to lodges if walking around the park.Lovely place good hostess.

The away had just recently been painted, so Liz allowed us to move to the lodge next door. But the away, was still lovely and cozy.

Loved it, would highly recommend if you are looking for peace and quiet, I would 100% go again

Lovely large lodge, plenty of space. Beginning to look a little tired in places but still adequate for most needs.

This is my second stay at the Kingfisher Lodge. It's a wonderful log cabin with plenty of room for a family. It has a great secluded position and is nestled into the woodland, beautiful spot! I would definitely recommend this lodge and will most definitely be back again.

Wow stunning location. Quiet, tranquil, with beautiful rhododendrons. To sit & just listen to the birdsong & lambs, blissful. Pleasant walks around the forest and lakes. And the relaxing hot tub. Whats not to like! We stayed in Bluebell which was very spacious & cosy and everything you need. I only live 40 minutes away, but felt like I was holiday. Would I go again.... hell YES :)

Rosebay is better than we expected, perfect for a quiet, relaxing week, we booked it again for september

Stayed in the away 3 nights, quite basic but comfortable and lovely view from veranda of Lake

The lodge was extremely spacious and well looked after. It was very clean and well equipped, everything you needed for a long weekend. It was also very warm and cosy in the evenings. The verandah at the front was gated, so the dogs couldn't escape and there was more than enough room in the lodge for 2 german shepherds to roam around. The hot tub was fantastic and although not working properly, we were informed by the maintenance man first thing in the morning which was much appreciated.

Oakapple was really comfortable and well designed . Beautiful views . Private . Had everything we wanted - Smart TV , Hot tub , lovely large lounge . A real peaceful oasis . Will definitely return.

Bathroom and furniture very tired, a small shop would be very useful, as few miles to go for milk and essentials, lots of weeds and ivy growing all around lodge, but overall it is a peace and tranquil setting.

We had a great mini break and will definitely book Chestnut Lodge again

The lodge itself was clean and fresh with everything we could possibly need catered for.The lodge could benefit from a little updating as not quite as fresh and modern as the one we stayed in previously,but perfectly accommodating even so.And the beds are really comfy.

Spectacular setting and nice picturesque location. Remote but no too far from everything. Nice clean lodge - we were a couple staying in a lodge for 4 so big enough but would be tight for 4 adults, lovely hot tub. The upholstery bed linen and towels all nice and fresh but the only negative of our stay was the bed itself was a bit hard and the pillows were not the best

Sycamore is reached up a very steep short road with just enough room at the top to turn around. We liked the elevated position with good views over a couple of the lakes (ponds?) but beware if you have small children, there is a sheer drop of maybe 15 or 20 feet from the hardstanding. Just as well that the porch is gated.

Perfect relaxing break. Lovely lodge in beautiful surroundings. Great place for dogs to enjoy their holiday too
