Caravan Hadnt Been Cleaned Properly

The master bedroom smelled of cigarette smoke. The kitchen area and bathroom were both dirty with food and dirt. We reported this and the caravan was cleaned but the smell of cigarette smoke remained. There was insufficient cuttlery and glasses for 8 people (only 2 drinking glasses)!

Caravan was great, comfortable and had everything you needed. The caravan was clean with fresh bedding. Heating worked perfectly. Location of the caravan was in a small cul de sac 150m from all the sites Facillities.

Basic but that was expected for cost would have been nice to have patio furniture on balcony as seemed pointless having it quite a distance from everything had to use car to reach facilities

The accomodation was a huge let down, needs an update badly small things like an extra plug in the double bedroom instead of just a double socket under the bed one side, but the worst thing was the cleanliness which was made more annoying when there was a note with 4 people's names on it whom had prepared the accomodation. Ants everywhere, plates dirty, dishwasher dirty, pet hair on everything and mud on one of the sofas. I had to clean the place after bringing things in from the car and realising how dirty it was I get it is a pet one but the people who "cleaned" it seem to just make the beds spray cleaner so it smelt clean and left, you still expect a good standard regardless of it being a pet accomodation or not. I cleaned the table and chairs cloth was brown after, swpet the floor finding loads of crumbs under the table for the ants then mopped that area not a big area but looking at the water you would think I had mopped up a load of mud. I then did the bathroom and hallway water in mop bucket was muddy coloured again cleaned all cutlery, utensils, plates etc and the dishwasher. Unfortunately no dust pan or vaccum to use to clear some of the ants. We normally cook on holoday tk save a bit of money we chose to have microwave meals instead. There was a half used loo roll behind the shower room radiator and a dummy behind the hall way radiator.I have taken pictures as I couldn't believe the dirt and ants.

I actually booked this holiday after a 1* review saying it was close to the runway - which was perfect for my partner! We were not disappointed. It was perfect for watching the typhoons coming into land! The caravan itself was basic, but clean and tidy, however it could do with a utensil refresh as it had no frying pan to cook with!

The OSPREY RISE 3 Van is old (2016) I was told at reception, we are so disappointed in this van, although it was cleanish, the furniture is old, and they all need some attention, the door coverings are peeling off in the kitchen and bathroom units, and on the tv table too, the carpets could do with being replaced, I certainly didnt want to put my feet on, the outside chairs are tatty and the chair seats are ripped so I really didn't want to sit on them. It certainly wasn't the van that I booked on Hoseasons website, it's was an Indulgent 6, 2 beds, it was stated on Hoseasons website to be "new in" at Tattershall Lakes, so we expected it to be that van, we have stayed in that van style elsewhere before which is a really lovely van) and definitely not the one we had, which according to the reception staff at Tattershall Lakes, apparently it is an Indulgent 6 van, we also had and ants in the en-suite and then in the master bedroom which they did come and sort for us. I will say the bed was really comfy. We have booked through Hoseasons many times, and the van we choose is the van we get. Our stay at Tattershall Lakes was to get away from Doctor and Hospital visits due to us both being ill since December. Unfortunately, it wasn't the break we thought it was.

Site was nice, didn't use the facilities so cannot comment on these.Nice location and not too far to get to seaside locations.Accommodation seemed lacking, no outdoor seating area and no enclosed space for the 'pet friendly' space.Only 1 bread knife provided so was difficult to prepare food. Went and bought a cheap one which we left for next customers.Beds was decent and clean. All pots and pans was covered in dust so didnt feel especially clean and the oven looked 40 years old and cooked food unevenly. The boiler had no pressure which we found out when trying to shower, it was an easy fix but it had a certificate saying it was serviced the day before!Had one small shower which we could barely move around in.

Very bad experience and we love Tattershall lakes. Been there a few times and twice this season within a month. You certainly expect a sweeping brush

The superior 8 caravan was nice enough, but fairly basic and quite cramped. We managed as a family of four with a teen and a tween, but the beds were too small for them really, and there wouldn't have been room for any more people to sit comfortably at the dining table. It would have been nice to have a bedside light in the bedrooms, rather than just to main light. The hot tub was easy to use and well-maintained.

A good caravan although if you intend to spend your evenings in the caravan take some extra cushions as the seating is a bit uncomfortable for just sitting and watching telly or reading for hours on end. Overall a good caravan and good facilities

We really appreciated how spotless the place was. The little gifts left for us were such a sweet touch. The hot tub was kept so clean, though we did get asked to leave for a quick check, which was a bit odd. Not having to pack towels was a big bonus - overall, very impressed with the cleanliness and care.
