Spindlewood Lodges

Spindlewood Lodges are a popular base for exploring all that Somerset has to offer.  These high quality lodges have been rated 4 stars by Visit Britain and with prices from just £40 a night they represent amazing value for money too.

This small group of lodges has an enviable setting in 10 acres of woodland and orchards.  The views are breathtaking as you can see the surrounding countryside from every angle. Spindlewood Lodges have a real feeling of being away from it all. However there are plenty of local attractions within driving distance so you won't have to travel far for some fun days out. The city of Wells, Chedder Gorge and Longleat House and Safari park are within easy reach.

The lodges themselves are Scandinavian and come with flatscreen TV and plenty of other mod cons to make your stay a home from home. The Spindlewood Lodge is a good choice for parties of 4.  This is a pine lodge with one double and one twin room. It is suitable for holidays all year round thanks to the triple glazing and night storage heaters.

lovely spot and Lodge was great! very comfortable and spacious with everything needed to relax and cook. With lovely spacious grounds well kept and safe for kids to run around chasing chickens and ducks who tend to visit each day at some point...
Warm welcomed by staff and detail explanation on the area and provided some guidance on the surrounding areas. Definitely love to book again.
Spindlewood is like an old friend. We have stayed several times and are always happy to return. But the entrance has some unavoidable potholes as you drive in and they are bouncing the car around and need filling in. Thanks.
Really fabulous location which we all enjoyed. Some areas of the lodge could do with a bit of a spruce up such as the bathroom, would of liked thicker curtains in bedrooms to keep light out and a bigger fridge.
Spindlewood was absolutely beautiful. Our lodge had beautiful views and the site was perfectly situated and well maintained. Our only issue was that the shower didn't really drain so we had to try and speed shower so that it wouldn't overflow. But that was easily overlooked when it came to how wonderful, comfortable and spacious the lodge was
Thanks for letting us use the lodge. Perfect for what we needed.
We booked this lodge at the very last minute and we were not disappointed. We stayed in lodge 7 which has a fantastic view of Glastonbury Tor. Loved the location: quiet and rural with lots of room for the children to run around safely. Still easy to get to nearby Glastonbury, Wells, Wookey Hole and many other attractions. The lodge is private, airy and bright with modern kitchen and bathroom...loved the power shower! Our hosts telephoned before our arrival to let us know our lodge was cleaned and ready (so we were able to check in a bit early) and popped by to say hello when we arrived. Friendly but not at all intrusive. The only thing we missed was a DVD player as our kids brought a couple of films to watch in the evenings but we managed fine without. I would not hesitate to recommend and we will be back!
Lovely area felt very relaxed and wasn't any sound at night whatsoever
Perfect quiet break away. Cabins are clean and well maintained with lots of space for the kids to play. Lots to do locally, if the suns out definitely recommend a trip to the outdoor pool at Street.
