We had such a lovely stay! The house is super well equipped and kept us cosy even on that rainy December day. The bath was just perfect and the shower was nice and spacious. The location is great-completely quiet and perfect for dogs that dislike fireworks. The propertys beautifully converted and really charming. Honestly, wed definitely come back. Thanks so much for having us!

We had such a great time at the lodges! Friends told us about it and it really lived up to the hype. The place was super peaceful, with no neighbours watching over us, so total privacy. The lodge itself was lovely and well-equipped. Loved having a secure area for the dog to roam freely. Definitely coming back!

A lovely lodge with so much space, inside and out. You have a fence the whole way around so plenty of parking but also secure for family and pets. The lounge area has two sofas, foot stool, log burner and smart tv. Then there is a dinning table that looks out across the ponds and little copse. The kitchen was well equipped for a week away. Decent size fridge freezer and dishwasher along with plenty of cutlery and crockery. We took our own slow cooker but could have left it at home as there was an air fryer, microwave, Dolce Gusto coffee machine, fan oven and full hob. Along with plenty of pans, trays etc I couldnt fault it (even cooked a full Sunday roast!).The bedrooms are at opposite ends, off of the living area and are a good size. One has a king size bed the other is a zip link superking which can be singles. One bedroom en-suite has a walk in shower, the other is a bath with powerful handheld shower. Brilliant set up for us as two couples. The terrace and hot tub are covered so extremely private and useable all year round. We only knew there were other lodges because we have walked around the farm, they are not visible from Pilsdon Perch and thats why there is a small price increase over the other ones on site. The only thing I would change is the furniture on the terrace, it just wasnt comfortable enough to sit outside for long. We didnt have great weather but if there had been a little corner sofa with a table, rather than the small dining set, Id have been outside for hours, wrapped up in a blanket. The view and peace and quiet make you want to be outside. This was our second visit and already planning to book again for next year.

We had such a lovely stay at Two Hoots! The lodge was super comfy and well thought out, making it perfect for unwinding. The weather was fantastic, so we didn't bother with the log burner, but the hot tub in the sunshine was a real highlight. Definitely planning to return sometime soon. Definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It had everything we needed and was spot on. Only tiny thing would be to add blackout blinds in the bedrooms, as the morning sun does peek through during spring and summer. Other than that, perfect!

We loved the cosy feel of the cottage, tucked away just enough to enjoy peace but still close to shops and local spots. The hot tub was fantastic and the underfloor heating made everything super comfy. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel so welcome. Cant wait to return!

We had such a lovely stay at Woodl and away! The lodge is super modern and well-equipped, with everything you could need. Being nestled among the trees was so peaceful and those glimpses of lambs in the fields were adorable. The hot tub was spot on and the wood burner made chilly evenings really cosy. Definitely coming back!

We had a really lovely stay at this place, nestled in a peaceful and private spot. The owners were super friendly and always there if we needed anything, but kept the privacy intact. The hot tub was a real highlight after long days out cycling. Just a heads up, the cottage is directly under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but if you're sensitive to noise, its worth noting. Overall, a great spot for a relaxing break!

The location was perfect for walks and exploring Thaxted along with nearby villages was a real treat. Honestly, we left feeling refreshed and relaxed, which was exactly what we needed. Would definitely recommend!

We spent a fantastic week at The Old Tact Room and honestly, it was the most relaxing holiday weve had in ages. My mum, our dog and I are always on the lookout for cosy log cabin getaways and this place really ticked all the boxes. The secure garden was a massive plus for us - no worries about the dog wandering off! Plus, its so private, apart from the two lovely goats at the end of the garden who kept us entertained. The hot tub under cover was such a luxury - rain or shine, we could unwind in it. Jeremy, the owner, greeted us warmly when we arrived and was very helpful with local tips. We appreciated the little touches like biscuits, eggs, firewood and the honesty jar for extra purchases - such a thoughtful idea! Inside, the lodge had a handy info booklet with all you need to know. We mostly stayed on-site, as theres plenty to do and see nearby, though the centre was only about 10 minutes away by car. The WiFi was a bit patchy in some spots, but once we found the right place to sit, it was fine. Visiting the animals was a real highlight, especially seeing the lambs during lambing season - they were adorable! Theres a secure dog field for off-lead fun too, which our pup loved. Hearing the horses training in the mornings was so calming. The whole place is stunning - huge, spotless and so peaceful. You can step right out of your door and pet the horses at the stables. We loved it so much that weve already booked to come back in three weeks! Massive thanks to Peckmoor and sassy Penny the peahen - what a lovely stay!

We visited and stayed in The Old Tact Room for the most relaxing 7 days/nights ever. My mum, me, and my dog go on regular log cabin holidays throughout the year. We decided on The Old Tack Room because of the secure garden for the dog, which was a god send! Very private (except the 2 friendly goats at the end of the garden) with a hot tub under shelter so whatever the weather we could enjoy it! Jeremy (the owner) came to greet us on arrival and was super friendly and informative. Goodies of biscuits, eggs and fire wood were left for us to use, with an option to purchase more and add the money to the honesty jar (such a lovely idea). The lodge came with an information booklet which was very thorough and the centre was a 10min drive away, but we stocked up and stayed mostly on site and theres a lot to explore! The place has WiFi which in some spots it does not reach, but once you knew where to sit it was great! Visiting the animals were the highlight, a large secure dog field is also available for some much needed off lead time for the dog. It was lambing season when we visited and was offered to go to the lambing shed to see the babies. The sound of the horses going off for their training sessions in the morning was beautiful. The place itself was stunning, massive and super clean! The place is right next to the stables so you can literally step out of your door and pet the horses! So quiet and peaceful that we are already booked to return in 3 weeks time! Thank you so much Peckmoor (and sassy Penny the peahen) ?
