Visitor Reviews of Newlands Park

Anne Quoroll
I went with my family of 2 daughters,5 grandsons, husband and brother. It is a really lovely place to stay, surrounded by woodland and we had 2 lodges by the lake. We saw deer, ducks,a goose, squirrels and lots of birds. Although high season, it was not at all noisy and no drunken revellers were in evidence. All the children we met were very well behaved as were the adults. Staff were very helpful and kind. We are returning in November and have asked for a lodge near the car park as my husband has kidney failure and cannot walk very far without tiring, this was duly alloted to us even though, this time we are going on a Sun Newspaper cheap holiday. We cannot find anything to complain about with this lovely venue. Accomadation is spacious and clean.

Tiny bathroom.Steps up from outside quite steep.Hanging rail in small bedroom far too high to use.Not enough equipment. No bottle opener or tin opener. Not many kitchen cupboards if you are shopping for a family.

We had a lovely stay and the caravan was spot on! The kids loved it, especially since it was their first time in a caravan. Only thing missing was some small welcome essentials like washing up liquid; the shop only had full-sized bottles, which was a bit annoying.

Overall, were quite happy with the service. The beds were made nicely and it was a nice touch. There were a few areas that couldve been better-like some dusty shelves in the bedrooms and a bit of chocolate on the floor. The windows looked a little streaky too. Still, decent job!

The cottage is really charming and perfect for a peaceful getaway. Just a heads up, planes can be a bit noisy at night since its close to Stanstead. Hot tubs a real treat!

We spent a lovely week here from 15 to 22 July with our two little dachshunds, who loved every minute and made a few friends in the charming village of Thaxted. The cottage itself is really cosy and the hot tub was an absolute highlight-perfect for cooling off during the hot summer days. The hosts are genuinely welcoming, which made us feel right at home. It was also nice to see their dogs being taken to the fields daily. Sure, you're close to Stansteds flight path, but honestly, I enjoyed watching the planes come in. Would definitely recommend!

We just got back from a fantastic week at Goddards Mead. The cottage had everything we needed and was super comfy. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming. Even on a working farm, it felt like a peaceful little escape. Loved it!

We spent a fantastic few days at Newlands with the family - two adults and two teenagers. The lodges were really spacious and super comfy, making it easy to relax. The evening entertainment, especially bingo night, was a blast! We also enjoyed dining at the on-site restaurant twice; the food was spot on. The location is perfect, close to many lovely spots, including Charmouth just a walk away. Were already planning to come back, probably in summer next time to enjoy the outdoor balconies more!

We had a lovely stay at this cottage, which is tucked away on a working farm but still feels very private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely charming and welcoming. The place itself is really spacious, with everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom. The bed was super comfy and the garden, dog-proof and private, was perfect for relaxing. We enjoyed plenty of local walks and tried some great restaurants in Thaxted, especially The Star and The Maypole. Highly recommend!

Overall, we really enjoyed the caravan stay. Its a shame about the limited stock with everything going on, but the place was cosy. The curtains were a bit fiddly and we had to bring our own towel for the shower, but it didnt ruin the trip. Would stay again!

We recently stayed at Goddard's Mead and it was a lovely experience. Rob and Sharon made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived and Bonnie was adorable too! The building has been beautifully restored, maintaining its historic charm while providing all the comforts youd need for a relaxing break. The location is perfect for exploring Essex, especially if you enjoy wandering through pretty villages and discovering local history. Definitely recommend!

We had a fantastic stay! The cottage was spotlessly maintained and had everything we needed. Our dogs loved the nearby walks and meeting Penelope the pig-such a sweet touch. fine caravan, not too far from everything. Shower a little hard to get right but good otherwise.

Newlands Holiday Park is excellent. We spent a week in a static van. It was just what we needed in size and was spotlessly clean. I would definitely have no hesitation in staying there again, and would highly recommend it.
Kay
An amazing week at Newlands Charmouth. Caravan clean & tidy on arrival. A great site & location with lots to offer young families. We stayed along with elderly parents in the caravan next door. Staff all very helpful & friendly. We would definitely return in our camper van as price a little steep for a week in static caravan!
Jennifer
This was our 6th year here and again yhe best stay we have ever had staff amazing site amazing and location amazing
Joan
We really enjoyed our holiday, we had used these apartments before and they didn’t disappoint. Only one thing could have made it better is some outdoor seating, but appreciate this could be a problem because of the parking area. Very clean and all facilities on site.
Rosie
Such a lovely site, clean friendly, amazing pool and amenities and close to the beach.
Julia
Staff really friendly and hard working. Nothing too much trouble
Carilyn
Fantastic value for money, lovely location. Very helpful and friendly reception staff. Lovely indoor and outdoor pool, very clean. The complex has everything you need. It's kept very clean and the grounds are always litter free. Caravan was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need.
Frances
Lovely area to visit and Newlands Park is ideally placed. I used the bus to go to Lyme Regis from right outside the gates. Fabulous staff and a very tidy site.
Linda
