We had a wonderful stay at Leycroft Valley in the treehouse, which offered a lovely accommodation. The hot tub was clean and well-maintained, while the oven took some getting used to, and the sofa was a bit small and firm. However, we spent most of our time exploring the area, enjoying beautiful walks to St Agnes and Perranporth. Note that the road leading up to Leycroft Valley is quite winding and single-track. On the plus side, the bathrooms and balconies were really nice. I would highly recommend Leycroft Valley and would definitely stay again. If you like pizza I recommend bringing your own cutter as well as your own pillows as the ones provided had plastic covers inside.

A lovely base for explorers. In a secluded part of the valleys of Cornwall. We were greeted upon arrival by Jo, who was extremely helpful throughout our stay. The lodge itself was well equipped and spacious. Plenty of options for seating and tvs in each room. Bathrooms were spacious, although we had problems with drainage. Although it says the hot tubs are maintained throughout the stay there was no evidence to say this had been done - unlike other facilities we have used in lodges. The cleanliness of the lodge itself was just below standard. Lots of cobwebs in the conservatory and master bedroom. The carpets hadnt been vacuumed very well, we found backs of earrings and small plastics. The cleanliness is the only thing that would stop me eating this 5stars. But atleast it is something that is easily improved.

Nice quiet setting in countryside surrounding. Only a 10min drive to the nearest beach which is perfect. Definitely would ask for lodge 15 or 16 if you have no issues getting up the steps. Love the hot tub that feels like your in the trees

This was a holiday for me and my partner, and we both really enjoyed it! We stayed in Lodge 15, which was beautifully located and felt really private, even though we had neighbours, we only heard them when we were both outside. The location is perfect, and Perranporth is lovely. You could do the walk into town if youre feeling brave, but its only a 10-minute drive, which we didnt mind at all. Well definitely be back. There were just a couple of small things that made the stay a little confusing, more than anything. When checking out, we werent sure where the recycling bins were, as the map didnt mention them, though we think we did spot them on the way out. When we first arrived, we were also a bit unsure of where to go because the map was a bit unclear, but since its a small site, it wasnt a big issue. The only other thing was that the accommodation could use a bit of general maintenance, the bathroom door lock and French door locks could do with some attention, and the hot tub is a little dated, but still a real treat.

Very remote , hard to find , but once found you get used to the area , please note , dont bring any freezer stuff with you we had to throw all our frozen food as there is no freezer, not even in the top of the fridge !! So we lost a lot of money on that , also I bought a blow up single bed to use outside to sunbathe, as only a old wooden bench and a rusty bistro set to sit on , all the rest was lovely and clean , the lodge it self was spotless , and the man was so very helpful and kind , if you stay the miners arms near by is amazing the food is outstanding and the locals are so welcoming , I would go again, but little bits like a holder for the shower gel in the shower , a bin in the bedroom , also a small stool to pop your clothes on in the bedroom, would be helpful , and updated garden furniture would be good . Also a freezer for ice etc in the top of the fridge , thats All to say , oh the hot tub was amazing and very clean , thank you leycroft Valley .

Fin lake is absolutely beautiful place to take the family and relax, with the dinning there is so much potential on different menus throughout different times of the year. But overall was very good

We stayed at Leycroft Valley for 7 nights recently. Overall the place is very peaceful, tranquil and quiet. We stayed in the Treehouse Spa 2.0 which is basically like a house, spread over 2 floors. Plenty of space and quite like home from home. The only downside which we could say about the place we stayed at, would be how uncomfortable the bed and sofa were. This was a big downside, as there's no better way to start your day off feeling refreshed from sleep and that wasn't the case for us. However, this aside the staff we're very friendly there and chatty aswell. Also, other people who we're on holiday there we're very friendly and would have a chat with you

We stayed in no 23, the over all stay was actually lovely and worth the money. Our lodge had a leak on one of the lights which was dripping. In the double bedroom there were massive holes in the wall when the bed had been pushed through. Could have done with more than 2 toilet roles for 5 days but every time we realised we needed more- there was no one on sight. I would take your own cleaning products as there are non in the property. Overall it was lovely- the hot tub was warm, however the lights on it didnt work for the aux.

Didnt use the hot tub but these were tested every day. The Facilities were great but the bathroom smelt of damp and the exterior fan wasnt working and the bathroom window didnt lock. The lodge spotless clean!! Had all the items you needed. The staff were so polite and super helpful.

Lovely lodge, great position right on the edge with the trees.Clean, tidy, bed made up and towels provided, just need to take towels when using the hot tub.Furniture in the lodge could be slightly better, sofa is probably due for a change. Would be nice to have had better outdoor furniture, wasnt the best quality but serves a purpose.Considering the location, WiFi works fine as no need to be surfing the net when on holiday!

Fab little lodge. Great size fridge and freezer which was a relief. Big shower, all utensils available. Our only problem was that if you turned on the one television the other one would also turn on which was quite funny.

Lets start with the positives: lovely quiet location, the mattresses, bedding and towels were fresh and comfortable, the showers had excellent pressure, the kitchen utilities were more than adequate, and the whole place was very clean upon arrival. Now for the not so positive parts. The whole place looked very tired and in need of a refresh: squeaky door handles and beds, en suite radiator not working, the laminate in the kitchen area had blown so it was broken and uneven in certain areas, the hot tub controls had to be pushed extremely hard to work and head rests were missing, the curtains did nothing to keep the light out, the furniture was very mismatched throughout, the flush buttons on the toilets would sink all the way down with no resistance and you had to hold in place to flush, the latch on the gate was loose, and the outside table and chairs were not suitable for use. There was also no manned reception, so any queries have to be emailed across. In addition to this, the hot tub was located directly next to a large car park, so our view through the fence was of all the parked cars, which also meant any one arriving or leaving could see us as well. There was also a roof made of corrugated plastic sheets that were extremely dirty and gave the whole area an allotment shed feel. As an optional extra, you can hire a highchair for the week, but there is no option to hire a travel cot and very little space to put your own, which just seems very short sighted and inconvenient for families with young children. To add insult to injury, this exact same lodge was advertised as £170 cheaper 2 weeks before we arrived. Had we paid this lower amount, we would have been able to overlook the issues with the property as we wouldnt have paid a premium sum and would therefore have had lower expectations, but having paid a premium price, and expecting a higher standard than we found, we are left feeling slightly duped and will not be returning, nor would we recommend this site.

Lovely chalet but difficult to get into until you get the hang of it. Nice site stayed here three times now and we come back again. Easy to find and access to surrounding areas excellent Really like the lawns/field where you can walk your dog if you have one.I wouldve liked to been in the bathroom and a hairdryer, but apart from that excellent accommodation

We had such a lovely stay! The owners are genuinely kind and so thoughtful - couldn't ask for more. The cottage is adorable, with its charming half-timbered style and a really powerful shower. The cosy kitchen and comfy bed made it perfect for relaxing. Parking right next to the property was super convenient and everything was spotless and well heated. Great walking trails nearby to Thaxted, with its pretty houses and windmill. Definitely recommend!

Our lodge was absolutely awesome. Totally immaculate and fully equipped. All we needed to bring with us was food, drinks and condiments. They even provided dishwasher tablets. The hot tub worked great and was nice to sit in and unwind.

The hot tub was absolutely fantastic, really relaxing after a long day. The lodge was spotless and well-equipped, which we loved. However, the heating was quite noisy at night, making it hard to sleep and the sofa was a bit uncomfortable. Overall though, a good stay!

We have been coming to Leycroft valley for years and have been under several owners, we have stayed in most of the cabins including the treehouses , however over the years we have sadly noticed its decline in the decor , with ripped sofas , cracked ceilings , and spiders webs that havent been cleaned away, but still love coming there because of the idyllic location , recently under the new owners they have started to upgrade the cabins which makes them much more appealing and only recently Leycroft House has become available to sleep 10 people , we stayed for the week there and the upgrade they have done on this property is absolutely outstanding, we couldnt fault it at all and would definitely stay in there again , it has its own driveway and electric charger and hot tub , so you are looking down the valley onto the cabins . Love love love , highly recommend it , we just hope that others that stay there give it the respect it deserves to keep it looking brand new for as long as possible , oh and it takes up to 2 pets too !

We stayed at The Lodge and, honestly, its a mixed bag. Some areas felt a bit tired, missing a headboard and the small double bed wasnt quite what we hoped for. Still, it was clean, the facilities were decent and the staff were really friendly. Wed definitely return for a quick off-season getaway despite the little snags!

Our holiday was brilliant. We spent very little time at the facility and spent our days travelling around Cornwall. We visited St Ives for the first time and its as lovely as people say! And I definitely recommend polly joke beach in Newquay for a seal hot spot!
